If I could leave a ZERO star review, I would. The lift operator, for the Alpine Slide (working between 12:30-1:30 on Sat, 9/4) was incredibly rude and downright mean to my 7 and 5 yr old children. My 7 yr old son had to ride the lift by himself, which was fine...he s been skiing since he was 3 and knows how a ski lift works. My son missed the chair the lifty wanted him to take. (Mind you there were about 10 empty chairs ahead of the chair my son missed.) The lifty then yelled at my son for missing the chair. My husband told the lifty to back off and the boy he was yelling at was only 7. My husband and boys got to the top and rode the Alpine Slide down the mountain. When they got the to bottom, the lifty and his supervisor/buddy were waiting for him and my kids. The supervisor told them they were done for the day and had to leave the park. My husband and boys were kicked out because my husband asked a grown man to stop yelling at our 7 yr old son. So sad.

Cool place to experience! Theres a cool museum that's free and you can walk around the area and check it all out. If you park at the bottom there are a few hiking trails you can use to walk up to the museum.

It is a very nice place and it is very clean. It has a very large parking lot, it is also very easy to access and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It has an incredibly spectacular view and a very interesting museum where we could see how the clothes and accessories for skiing have changed. We were interested in taking a tour but we were a little disappointed because we couldn't do much. The wind influences this type of places too much and ensures a lot of safety. I got excited when I saw the ice cream machine , but they didn't have Maybe, because I would be the only crazy person that at this time would ask to be chilled with that cold.

Lots to do and see. You probably should be able to hike paved trails and be in good physical condition. The museum has no limitations but if you want to zip line, luge, tube etc... Read the restrictions first. There are weight and height requirements and well as being in good physical condition to handle the strength needed. Beautiful views and busy, plan on a hike from where you park. Price point is about the same or a little less than amusement parks. Single ride passes and day passes available.

Staff was confused when we would ask directions to things in the park, which is insanely confusing because after being there for 4 hours i knew where everything was. Lines, lines, lines and waiting for absolutely no reason. Super fun things to do but just really slow.

So awesome this is open for the public to enjoy. We took our 12 year old granddaughter and she was worn out by days end. We started with the Discovery Zone and it really challenged her. We spent about 6 hours here because she had to wait in long lines to do each activity, she never complained and said she had a blast. We were allowed to have our dogs in the park. Only downside to the day was the shuttle service. There is a long and very steep hill between activities and I have a bad hip. Shuttle is supposed to run every half hour and a group of us waited over an hour for a ride and that was after several phone calls to the front desk. Otherwise it was worth every cent spent and line wait times.

The wait time for the zip line was really long. Any time a drop of rain fell from the sky the ride closed down, and was 're-opened' 2 minutes later. The 're-opening' of the ride was a very long process, but I guess I can say they were very concerned for our safety.

Lots of fun! Kind of rough stops, especially the 1st & it so happened that the first zip line operater didn't tell us to lean back and straighten arms so first stop was kinda rough. But good time!

This place is pretty cool. I stayed and watched the freestyle ski jumpers for about an hour. It's really amazing what those guys can do on skis. The museum is interesting. It and the gift shop are well done. I wanted to check out the bobsled course but it apparently wasn't open that day. The view of the valley from the mountain is really nice too. Definitely something to see and it didn't cost me a dime.

I always recommend this place for out of town guests, and I am frequently there for training practices for kids. Although I think it's great, I really wish that the parents had some food or beverage options while they're watching their kids, even if that's just a couple of vending machines outside or in the room where we watch the kids do their jumps.

I give this the star HESITATLY for the experiences you can have from the rides. My family did the bobsled and it was AWESOME! HOWEVER, I give ZERO for the HORRID customer service at the front desk. And a ZERO for the complacent, smug management. After reading other reviews on here I now realize it wasn't just me that felt belittled by the staff.

I walk in, ask a nice older woman what prices and time waits are in the rides, she gave the info, I said thanks and walked off. After picking our rides and signing our waivers, I stroll up to the desk again, only this time it's a different, girl with long blond hair and resting b--ch face. I let her know we are ready, she then tells us that the bobsled isn't accepting anymore rides for the day. Okay, no biggy. But, the shuttle driver for the bobsled walks up and says it's okay, he can take one more. THAT is when it all went south. She immediately got an attitude. Like it was my fault that he over heard her and bypassed her decision. Again, okay, fine but don't take your frustration for not being able to close down your register just yet, on me, the customer. She then, with the most blantent valley snot face voice asked if I had my close toed shoes? Which was news to me that you had to have them, I politely replied that I did not and didn't know I needed to have a close toe shoe. - She rolls her eyes, and I mean obviously rolls her eyes and says she JUST told me five minutes ago that I needed them. I let her know, again politely that she must have mistaken a conversation with someone else for me. That's when this EMPLOYEE tries to argue with me that it was me. Mind you, my 3 year old daughter is standing there, my nephew, my mom, my FAMILY all gob smacked at her rudeness. I then calmly ask her if there is a reason she is being so rude to me? She turns around and walks off to get my refund receipt without word. (since I did not have close toe shoes, I was out of the bobsled ride - bummer but understandable).

I was floored. Who did this juvinille employee think she was arguing with me that I was some customer she already spoke with??? It wasn't me, BUT had it been, I still would have been pissed by the sophomoric mentality and general "better than" disposition she had with a customer. - I walked away, nearly in tears from form frustration and humility. As I walked away, I filled with anger and called her a name under my breath to my mother, that I shouldn't have said. (Rhythms with ditch which) She then yells over the desk with her smug little face (knowing her management would rather make his much younger employee girls happy than a grown women customer), and asks if I would like to talk to management. I immediately, having been filled up with humiliation and anger say that YES, I would.

HA! management. If you've been there you understand this joke. - This coy little man is standing at the desk, by what I am presuming is his lunch break flirt , I fill him in calmly, nearly chocking back tears. And with every respectably sentence, he has blank, in one ear out the other, nod. Staring blankly at me as if he was going over his list of closing duties, and how happy his young employee was going to be with him for not disiplining her. I realize he is not listening, or caring. So I decided it best to end the conversation. So I simply ended, with an eyeful of tears, that he please just make sure his employees don't make another customer try and feel stupid as she did me. He gives me what I can only describe as a Saturday Night Live spoof fake "Okay".

AND here is the best part. As I am leaving there is another older man standing there, saying he got the SAME treatment from the staff just 5 min prior & it's not okay to treat customers, let alone any other human being that way.

NOW, I must conclude that the driver of the shuttle from Croasia? Or Germany? was WONDERFUL, hilarious & was able to make me and my family smile after such an ordeal. The staff at the bobsled ride itself were also funny and informative. I would give them & the ride 10

If you've done ziplining in interesting locations before (e.g. Costa Rica) and suspension courses and are only casually interested in winter Olympics then you might find the Olympic park only mildly interesting. This was me and my crew.

During my hols in Downtown SLC last week, I spent one day visiting Utah Olympic Park combined with PC Main Street.
Took the bus 902 SLC to Kimball Junction from where you can already see the Olympic Park. When you wait there a van will come and pick you up to take you up the mountain (every half hour). The driver was such a friendly older man with whom I had a lovely chat.

Now visiting Utah's Olympic Park was one of my main agenda points and let me say : it was fantastic!
I took the tour ($12,00 p.p.) however, still had time to go through the Museum where there's lots of Olympic facts, ski outfits and also props used during the 2002 Winter Olympics etc.. on display which didn't disappoint!
The tour was guided by a 'skeleton'-athlete (think his name was Kyler?) who did a terrific job at explaining us all about the luge, skeleton, bobsleigh etc. and answering any Q's about it. Per van he took us to the bobsleigh track and the ski-jumps. From up there you have some amazing vistas!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Utah's Olympic Park and would highly recommend it!

Oh, should you be interested in going for a bobsleigh ride yourself (fee + better book in advance) and to avoid disappointment, don't visit on Mondays as that the track's maintenance day

We loved it! Go with a lot of money if you plan to do much. We have a family of five and it was pretty expensive for us all to do a couple of activities. Wear athletic shoes. They will probably get dirty.

Fun place to visit for a couple of hours. Nothing amazing, especially for free, but if you are a serious Olympic buff or happen to already be in the area, you'll love it. My girls ages 3 and 5 loved the interactive exibits on the first floor. Cafe and snacks were overpriced, but that was expected ($7 for a glorified white cheddar 'grilled cheese' panini; tasty, but small and expensive). The kids loved playing on the sleds (bob, skeleton and luge). Paid VR experiences seemed short and not worth if from watching others. Ski outfits and skis through the years were fun to see.

Absolutely loved this place. If you don't want to do any events, it's completely free. You can watch ski jumping practice and check out the museum and take a chair lift to the top. Highly recommend the bobsled experience! Better than any roller coaster ride! We spent about 3 hours at the park, recommend going early to see all the activities. Loved it!

A very cool adult playground with lots of neat things to walk around and see. Bring some comfortable shoes, as there is a lot of elevation to traverse. There is a cafe, but the hours are a little sparse. The museum here is also very interesting.

Bring able to watch the practice sessions was incredible. My 6 year old loved the whole experience too. We loved being able to walk around and see all the outdoor stuff too. We hope to head back soon.
