A very interesting government office complex. Easy access from lots of parking garages and the main hallway is amazing and inviting. Particular at Christmas. First time visitors may be a bit disoriented on where to go, there are multiple entrances and buildings if you're there to meet with officials.

As a consultant I have had the opportunity to visit a significant number of government buildings. The USPTO office complex is by far the most accessible, green, and natural light washed of them all. The building is clean and airy and they even have multiple on site bodegas and a fitness gym with showrrs (for cheap!)

Wonderful place to explore and look for historical inventions filed in the USPTO. This is a huge facility with various departments place in different areas. They also have In-house patent search facility on EAST database (Used by the patent examiners) which can be accessed once getting the required approvals.

Is home to the Patent and Trademark office with a small, but very interesting and free patent and trademark museum in the lobby. You must have a photo ID and a PTO staff escort to get into the office buildings. A large pay parking lot is adjacent to the main PTO building and the King Street Metro is about a 10 minute walk.

It was a nice experience seeing the building and exploring but trying to get stuff done was a pain. No one knows where things are located. Security is SLOW. And the receptionists answer you with one word....

Check out the Patent museum with your kids before heading out down into old town. It is a quick stop, but you can inspire them to show them what life can be like if you go down the engineering science route of life.

I got to say, no one issues patents like these guys. I've tried several off-brand patent issuers, but that only got me in trouble, and no one seemed to believe my off-brand patents were patented. These guys are the real deal, and people seem to respect patents from here, but you probably shouldn't wait there the whole time. It can take a few months, you know? They have a museum, too!

This place is huge! I went to an audition here so I didn't get to see everywhere. My friend said he rented it out for a function once. Restrooms are very tidy and there was plenty of space for me to steal away to memorize my lines. This rating is based off what I did see.

They had a great little museum of inventions that was surprisingly fun to visit. It's not very big but it's very well kept and up to date. They have a display with inventor's Hall of Fame inductees which was interesting and then behind that a bunch of interactive displays about being innovative and the importance of patents and trademarks. It is a little bit biased in favor of the patents and trademarks but what else would you expect from a museum made by the patent office. Overall I thought it was worth the visit; it was a nice hidden treasure. You probably only need 1-2 hours to go through the whole thing.
