US Tax Shield Review

KEEP AWAY FROM THIS FIRM. For Four years they have failed to perform for me and have only caused me to incur more tax penalties and interest. They negotiated nothing on my behalf, failed to stay in contact with me, and ignored my demands for an accounting. Basically I have been abandoned. My repeated emailed requests for a fee refund have been met with replies that they are being looked into. Zero follow up on the promise. Their failure to communicate directly with me and abandonment of my case is contrary to clear California Bar standards.

The only interest and urgency they displayed was in squeezing me for a $29,000 fee. Though I demanded a refund and accounting of their time and fees 18 months ago, and repeated the demand twice more, to date the reply has been that they will get back to me. Crickets.

I had 9 years of back taxes a massive amount owed, I got up the courage to get some help and called US Tax Shield and I am so greateful for their help, it took a while to get to a resolution in an offer in compromise and the IRS settled my debt for pennies on the dollar, I now have this aweful thing hanging over me removed and it feels great! so dont wait like I did, they really can help... They are the best!

STAY AWAY from US Tax Shield!!! They are a scam and will tell you things they have no clue about. Like weather or not your particular state will reduce interest and penalties. They told us to agree to our state's calculated monthly tax pay off amount and that it was a generic computer generated amount. We asked the 3 times before agreeing to the state's amount and were told that it would and could be adjusted from $1,236.00 to $1,000.00 well we agreed to the states amount. The very next day they said we are sorry we thought the amount could be changed. I could go on and on about things we were told then told we are sorry for all the inconsistencies and that you were given wrong information! They will have a gal call you who will try and smooth things over with you at the same time tell you what an ethical company US Tax Shield is. They cost us more than they helped us. We disputed their charges and instead of bowing out gracefully and doing the right thing and giving us our money back they produced what they claimed they did for us and stuck us with a bill that they hadn't earned at all. I waited till now to post a review to see if they would do the right thing and refund us the money. Well this post proves that the money is more important than doing the right thing!

Do Not waste your money--they did not negotiate one penny off my IRS debt, my wages were garnished by the state of CA because they did not file the documents, AND, I negotiated all my own installment agreements with the IRS and the state that were better than their "attorneys" did. One big fat scam that cost me money I should have used to pay my tax bill.

This company's radio commercials are a lesson in grammatical chaos. I wouldn't use anyone who misuses the word get so many times in 30 seconds. People can and do judge by the way you speak. In this case, it sounds extremely uneducated.

I CALLED US TAX SHIELD BACK IN 2013 WHEN NEW YORK STATE FILED A LIEN ON MY HOME FOR UNPAID 2012 TAXES, WHICH AFTER THE INITIAL TELEPHONE CONVERSATION, AND THEN FILLING OUT THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION, THEY SUBMITTED AN OFFER IN COMPROMISE. AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS, US TAX SHIELD SETTLED MY CASE WHICH MADE ME AND MY WIFE VERY HAPPY AND RELIEVED. THE TAX LIEN ON MY HOME WAS REMOVED. I HAD TO CALL US TAX SHIELD AGAIN THIS JUNE 2018, WHEN I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE OF THEIR INTENT TO LEVY MY PROPERTY!! I WAS SHOCKED. I THOUGHT THAT CASE WAS RESOLVED YEARS AGO, BUT IT WASN'T!! I USED A DIFFERENT TAX RESOLUTION COMPANY, AT THAT TIME I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT US TAX SHIELD!!!!
THAT OTHER COMPANY SAID THEY GOT ME THE BEST DEAL THEY COULD. THE IRS WOULD PUT A LIEN ON MY HOME, AND AS LONG AS I DIDN'T' SELL THE HOME FOR 10 YEARS THE LIEN WOULD AUTOMATICALLY BE REMOVED, AND WE WOULD BE FINE!!
AND FOR THAT IT COST ME $10,000. THAT WAS NOT THE TRUTH!! THE IRS CAME AFTER ME AND MY WIFE AS SOON AS WE MADE OUR LAST MORTGAGE PMT. AND THE IRS WANTED AN AMOUNT DUE IMMEDIATELY WITH INTEREST & PENALTY THAT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!! OVER $100,000.
I CALLED US TAX SHIELD AND SPOKE WITH BRYAN LAMB. HE WAS SO NICE AND CARING AFTER I TOLD BRYAN WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. HE IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE IRS AND PUT ME ON A CONFERENCE CALL WITH THEM AND GOT THEM TO PUT A WEEK HOLD ON ANY COLLECTIONS!! I WAS SO HAPPY TO GET THE TIME TO RESOLVE MY CASE. THEN MY CASE MGR TAMARA IGLEHEART CALLED ME AND INTRODUCED HERSELF, AND SAID SHE WOULD BE THE PERSON TO CALL WITH ANY QUESTIONS I MIGHT HAVE. SHE WAS ALWAYS VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL. SHE ALWAYS TOOK OUR CALLS OR CALLED YOU BACK, AND ALWAYS HAD THE ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS. IF SHE DIDN'T KNOW RIGHT THEN, SHE WOULD HAVE YOU SPEAK TO THE SUPERVISING ATTORNEY TERRI TURNER WHO ALWAYS HAD THE ANSWERS!! MY CASE WAS RESOLVED WITH COMPLETE SATISFACTION WITH THE IRS IN NOV 2018. US TAX SHIELD WAS ABLE TO GET ALL MONEY OWED, PLUS ALL INTEREST AND PENALTIES REMOVED AND I RECEIVED A REFUND CHECK. EVERYONE AT US TAX SHIELD WAS FANTASTIC. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO WANTED THEIR STATE OR IRS TAX PROBLEMS TO GET RESOLVE QUICKLY AND TO YOUR SATISFACTIONS!! THANK YOU!!

I spent almost a year and a half dealing with a tax situation with the IRS with a company that promised to help me enter into an agreement to resolve my issue and provide peace of mind. They charged me over four thousand dollars and after a year and a half of going back and forth, I found myself in deeper trouble with the IRS. They demanded more money from me in order to get me out of the horrible situation they created! It was at that point that I dropped them and contacted US TAX SHIELD. It was the best decision I have made in my whole life. They dealt with the IRS for me and in a very short period of time were able to get me into an installment plan that was very reasonable and for less than half the money that it cost me with the previous company I hired. They were extremely professional and always reachable for providing answers to any questions that came up during the process. I highly recommend US TAX SHIELD to anyone that has any issues with the IRS.

Having very little knowledge of tax laws and the IRS, I didn't know where to begin. I heard about US Tax Shield from a TV ad so I decided to call in for a free consultation. They explained everything to me and the steps they would take to resolve my tax debt. I was a little surprised by the length of time it took to resolve my case, but that may have been on the IRS. In the end, I was satisfied with the outcome.

From the very beginning I had a good relationship with the people I was dealing with. They took into consideration that I was behind on taxes, it was a battle for me. I do appreciate all the help they gave me on my behalf against the government. So far, I'm in a hardship where they can't collect because I'm making no money and my health is bad. I want to thank US Tax Shield for their help, I really appreciate it.

We are dissatisfied with the level of service we have received from this firm. We hired US tax Shield over a year ago to help us with payroll tax issues with our business. We paid them $29,000 as a fee for this service. We have reached out on at least 10 occasions in this period requesting a status update on our case. Each time we were told that they were waiting on a revenue officer to be assigned. In the meantime, we have submitted volumes of paper and documents which have had to be updates multiple times due to the time lapse. Finally, a revenue officer was assigned and requested more paperwork. When the revenue officer visited us, she did not have all of the paperwork needed as US Tax Shield had not sent it to her in a timely manner. Also, US tax shield did not even send a representative to our meeting, only "audited" the meeting via phone.If the attorney spoke 10 word the entire time, it would be generous. I have asked multiple times for US Tax Shield to provide me with a list of what exactly they were doing for our $29,000 as nowhere in this process have I seen the value whatsoever. During all of this waiting and in activity the IRS actually filed a tax lien on us....where was US Tax Shield during all of this? Isn't that why we hired an attorney for such an outrageous sum? I called repeatedly with complaints and spoke with Audrina before my IRS meeting. After putting their heads together, they came up with the awesome strategy of "you should get a loan to pay your tax debt" SERIOUSLY??? We paid $29,000 for them to ignore us for a year and then their big plan is "go get a loan"???? I think we would have done that if we could, and since they were not helping us while retained, we now have a lien which makes getting a loan totally impossible. I have asked US TAx shield for an accounting of what they have done for us (in our eyes, they have done NOTHING). They have missed their deadline for providing this information, which leads us to believe the cannot conjure up anything that they have done which warrants such a fee. At this point, we want a refund and we will handle this matter on our own. At least we know we will keep our deadlines with the IRS and not have to spend all of this frustrating time on the phone with US tax shield to ask what they are doing for our money....we know that have have not done one thing for us.

UPDATE 2/28/18: They are now calling and harassing me. They said that since I have ruined the business relationship by posting a bad review, that the accounting department has decided to give me a ZERO refund. The mysterious accounting department also refuses to get on the phone with me. They only allow their master manipulator Adrinah make the harassing phone calls. They initially offered me $6000 refund on $29,000 refund requested. RUN AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

UPDATE: Now they send us a refund check for $6000 and are expecting us to sign it and go away. Not happening, we want a full refund.

I strongly and wholeheartedly recommend US Tax Shield for all your tax problems. I was a bit nervous at first to trust someone to do what they said they could do after a bad experience in the past, but the team at US Tax negotiated an offer with the IRS that I previously tried to do myself that got rejected. I had spent over two years and countless hours working with my tax preparer to overcome an audit for 2014 and 15. ( Which I later learned was all due to my tax prepares inabilities that caused this audit.)
I tried contacting the IRS many times to try to get answers, to no avail.
The state now imposed a payment plan or they would place a lean on my home. I was sure the IRS was not far behind them!
I knew I had to get some help soon!
I talked with a couple of the hyped up companies you hear advertised on the radio. Not impressed at all with there "WE CAN FIX ANYTHING" JUST GIVE US MONEY AND WE WILL LOOK INTO IT speech.
When I called US Tax Shield there was no talk of money right away. Juliet "interviewed" me and got some basic details of my case from me. Juliet was very professional, direct, straight to the point, no BS. ( My kind of person ) (Still no talk of moneys owed yet)
After the interview she stated that she "would take on my case" and that we were going to call the IRS, give a verbal power of attorney so she could obtain more information. ( "Call the IRS" this will take hours! )
Within 5 minutes we were talking with an IRS representative!
After are talk with the IRS Juliet consulted her colleges and put together a contract with a price.
Within two months they were able to get all of the info that the IRS had scattered about the US between four different field agents and figure out the issues with those returns.
Every two weeks or sooner like clock work I would receive a call from Arlette giving me an update or asking for more info.
I cannot express my gratitude enough to Arlette and Jessica for there patience in dealing with my frustration and education in dealing with this.
I am now talking with an IRS field agent on a regular basis and have hired a new tax preparer.
US Tax Service customer service was top notch when I closed my case with them! Thank you Adrineh!

US Tax Shield handled me extremely professionally guiding me every step of the way. We received an abatement for a large part of the amount owed, and I am extremely satisfied with their attention to detail and my account. They really stuck with me through the process, which took some time, but they were able to help me when i really needed it.

I will say that US tax shield did respond to my complaint, explained everything, was very pleasant and helpful. What I say does not reflect solely on their customer service, however I wish they had been upfront about the fact that my income was to high to really get any help before I paid. What they did do, is get the penalties off 1 year, which pretty much equaled the fee I paid and the agreement is complete.
