Urbane Salon and Day Spa Review

Loved this place! Really pretty inside and great stylists. My boyfriend and I went in to get a men s haircut and a womens haircut and deep conditioning treatment. I was with Lance and he was with Sarah they were both amazing and did great jobs with our hair! Definitely recommend them especially if you are looking to change up your look!

Courtney is absolutely amazing! There are not enough words to express how wonderful she is. She knows exactly what to do and does it perfectly! Everytime I walk out of the salon after being with her, I feel like a completely new person. She gets my hair looking exactly the way I want it and always gets my hair back to a healthy state. Courtney knows exactly what my hair needs and makes it look gorgeous everytime! I truly love having Courtney as my hairstylist and am grateful to be one of her clients.

I have wanted to get hair extensions for the longest time but wasn't sure if they would work for me or where to start. Courtney was recommended to me by a friend of mine and after seeing the pictures and videos she posted on her facebook page I knew I had to set up a consultation! She was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable, asked what my ideas and goals were, answered all of my questions and offered ideas and suggestions that would work for my hair. After ordering the extensions (which are absolutely GORGEOUS) and getting my hair colored, I went in today to have my extensions put in. I couldn't possibly be happier with how my hair looks and feels. It's exactly what I wanted and then some! Courtney is absolutely AMAZING and incredibly talented! I HIGHLY recommend her you will NOT regret it!!!

Carissa is only stylist I will ever have. She is intuitive, meticulous, and creative. I'll never see anyone else. Definitely ask for her. You won't be disappointed.

BRIDES BEWARE! I do not live in Omaha, however was getting married in Omaha looking for a salon to do my hair. I picked this place due to the reviews, neat atmosphere, etc. When I called the salon to make my appointment, they recommended JAREE JOHNSON, letting me know that she often does hair for brides and is great. I was excited and planned a hair trial with her (not free). I was not thrilled with the trial, so planned another hair trial before the wedding to put my mind at ease. On the day of the wedding, makeup ran late and I was 30 minutes late into my hour long hair appointment. I was in the car on the way and got a phone call telling me that Jaree could not do my hair! PANIC! (I later saw her coloring someone else's hair). She did not offer to try to do it quickly, nothing. Luckily I had an appointment for my sister and mom at that time, with SARAH KNAUSS, who ended up doing a fabulous job! She was super friendly and my hair turned out great. Overall, I was happy with my hair, however not thrilled about the stress this salon caused on my wedding day.

I made the fatal mistake of trying to box dye my hair. Needless to say I wanted to find the best to fix it, and I have found her at Urbane! Courtney is a goddess and has magic hands! She was so personable and kind, but also a kickass colorist and stylist. I could not be happier with how my hair turned out. Everyone should go

I LOVE MY HAIRCUT! I was super nervous to get it done, especially by someone I didn t know anything about, but it turned out fantastic!

If you are lucky enough to have a wonderful hairstylist like Carissa like I am, then you understand that feeling of trust, comfort, and expertise that comes with her making you look and feel like the best version of yourself. Don't tell her I said this, but she's the bomb!

They are very knowledgeable in color! They will help fix if someone has screwed your hair up, which is easy to do if people are not trained right.

DO NOT GET YOUR BALAYAGE DONE HERE!
I requested a refund as my hair has been called "the worst balayage we've ever seen".
I have white, yellow, and blotchy orange streaks that make me look like a calico cat.
Also, she gave me one white highlight to "frame my face" that makes me look like i'm going gray. The manager told me that refunds are not company policy. I hope these photos will change that.

Please, take my advice and go somewhere else!!

I love going to see Fjeran, she always does a wonderful job! Sometimes I go to her with an inspiration photo and others times I just let her work her magic! She has never disappointed me! My hair always looks amazing when I leave!

It was a day for my wife to be pampered and she hadn't had time for her self in the last 2 years so so loved it and felt refreshed when it was all done.

Very unhappy with the service done on my daughters make-up. They didn't apply the make-up right, we were running late because we had to wait for the girl to get there to do the make-up. And her hair was coming loose before we even got to the wedding. I was satisfied with my hair and makeup Amee did a great job on my hair and makeup. The bridal makeup was done by Claudia and it was started by someone else., hair by Vanessa

Thank you to the entire Urbane team for an incredible experience for our wedding party! We were so grateful that they accommodated our large group and everyone LOVED their hair and makeup styles. We were very impressed how quickly and efficiently they kept us on schedule. It was a stress-free start to a beautiful day!

Great massages! Loved the hot towels and hand massages and deep shoulder massage.

My massage was amazing! Getting the base of my head, my lower back and the hips stretches made it the best massage I ve had.

So upset with how my hair has held up for my wedding tonight. It was done at 2 and by 5 it's gone entirely flat and the braid has fallen down. No answer tonight to get it fixed by 6pm for a 10pm ceremony. What a nightmare. If it had held up I would have loved it. But this is really unacceptable. $100 curls and a braid should hold up.

I ve been getting my hair professionally done for a little over 10 years now, and I ve never been so obsessed and in love with my hair until I started going to Lance! He does amazing work and I cannot recommend him enough!

Courtney is the BEST! I only go to her if I need my hair done for a reason! She keeps my hair healthy, vibrant and voluminous! Courtney makes a sometimes boring experience and turns it into a fun, confidence boosting experience. My life is absolutely changed since getting these hand tied extensions. As someone who s always wanted long luscious hair and could never achieve it on my own, having these extensions boosts my day to day confidence. and makes me feel more like myself. Hair (to me) is more than just something that grows out of your head. I leave Urbane feeling like a badass mermaid every time. Knowing that I can count on Courtney to make my hair dreams home true is the BEST feeling. 15/10 would recommend!

I received a combination of relaxation and therapeutic, full body massage from Michelle - it was top-notch! She took into consideration the areas that needed more work, yet didn't leave any part of the body out. She used many different techniques to adequately meet my body's needs to be able to stretch tight muscles, release pressure points, and induce relaxation. She checked in with me regarding the firmness and pressure she was using to meet my comfort levels. Her voice was very gentle and soothing! 10/10 would recommend her to anyone!

Great service! Great atmosphere! I came from out of town and they were able to get me in a few hours after I called. My stylist was Vanessa. She new exactly what I wanted done with my hair and she delivered! She also gave me good styling tips and helped me pick out product for my hair. The building is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. They offered me a drink as soon as I walked in. Wish I lived closer so I could go here all the time!

I loved the little extras like the scalp and neck massage. Studio has talented stylists. I didnt know what I wanted when I came, but my stylist, Lance, analyzed my hair, face, etc and gave me a new doo thats perfect for me and so versatile! Thank you!

Took my daughter for sap day for her birthday. I scheduled the spa package for 2. The package was for a 30 minute massage and facial with a manicure and pedicure. My daughter had a wonderful experience, I however expect quality of services to be better. I expressed my lack of happiness with my manicure abs pedicure. The receptionist stated that he would pass the information along to the manicurist. I again articulated my frustrations as I was paying and he again would pass the information that they do not discount spa packages , which I didn t ask for. I stated that if you pay almost 400.00 you shouldn t leave unhappy. I was then offered salon credit. I stated to receptionist that I would not be returning and I don t want product. I am a salon owner myself. I would never let a client leave my salon with horrible service results. I will never return and I most certainly will never recommend .

I had an absolutely amazing haircut this morning with Lance! He was so professional and kind, and I left with great results. Just a testament as to why I always choose Urbane!

When was the last time a stranger stopped you while shopping and said "I love your hair cut! where did you get it done?". I can tell you that doesn't happen to me everyday. But it did two days after my visit to Urbane Salon. The stranger said "oh one of those Fru Fru salons?" I told her not 5 star expensive but 5 star service, they know how to treat you right. She asked for my stylists name and wrote it down. Wow! what a compliment and all I had done was a cut. On all cuts they give you a scalp message which was out of this world relaxing! My stylist was current on all of the latest cuts. She made suggestions, which most other shops that I have visited are rather hesitant. They offer you something to drink, they will run out and put money in your parking meter if you think you may be pushing your time limit. They want YOU to relax and not have a worry in the world, they put you first. They offer services of all types in their day spa and sell natural Evada products which are 20% off every Thursday. I was so excited about this my experience I had to share it.

Hope was AMAZING!!!! She was great to talk to and explained what she was doing and the products she was using. She did mine and my daughters hair at pretty much the same time. SUPER WOMAN!!! We both got major transformations and are in love with our new color and cuts. 10/10 will recommend her to anyone who will listen.

I got a full body scrub. It was very relaxing, you get a massage plus, when you're done, your skin is soft . if I could, I'd have it done weekly.

I was seeking somewhere downtown to get a quick brow wax so I decided to try this place. I called, and they got me in the same day with Jessica. She did an AMAZING job and she was super friendly. This will definately be a new go to place for me. The salon was quaint and inviting. After just dropping in today, I would consider getting other services there too!

Update since becoming a regular: Everybody here is always awesome! From the moment I walk in the door everyone treats me like we've been besties for years. When I'm getting my hair cut, other stylists will include me in the conversation they might have with my stylist.
I never feel overwhelmed, unsafe, (I appreciate all the COVID safety measures taken!), pushed into anything I don't want to do or don't want to buy. I get informed about products that will work with my new 'do and then the decision is left up to me.
I love coming here for hair, massages, waxing, and pedicures.

This is a very Nice salon with elegant looks and a professional staff who is eager to earn your business. The owner Jean is committed to making sure you are pleased with your service each time you go there. The front desk is competent, something I have found seriously lacking at other Salons in Omaha. I appreciate the personal touch of the appointment bookings and appointment reminders. I was able to get in for a much needed hair cut at this salon on very short notice, in fact on the same day as another Salon in Omaha was unable to keep my scheduled morning hair cut and gave me only 2 hours notice that they would not be getting me in that day for a hair cut. This salon understands your time as a customer is valuable! I wish more salons in Omaha had this same mind set. Sadly, I have dealt with salons where my appointment time does not start promptly. I was able to be seen by Vanessa for a hair cut on short notice and she did an awesome job of making my hair look its best when I left the salon. I would recommend Vanessa. I really like how the staff here explains the Aveda products and answers your questions about Aveda with knowledge and helpful hints. If you are interested in an Aveda Salon in Omaha this is the place for you!

Urbane is always professional and everyone there is so friendly. Carissa, in particular is an amazing person and an expert in hair. She is the one to try out if you are looking for something new.

I had a wonderful experience here. I was able to walk in on a Monday afternoon at 4. I'm from out of town and working in Omaha. I haven't seen my own hairdressers in 5 months and desperately needed my hair cut. Kayla is new to the salon and is so wonderful. She made me feel comfortable in an unfamiliar salon. Asked me how I part and style my hair on a daily basis and also answered any questions about the what products she was using on my hair. Overall wonderful experience!!
