I don t have any actual bad experience with this company. Except after my initial interview, they asked for 1700 dollars to pay for workshops and test shots. From what I read online, modeling agencies don t ever ask you to pay money to them. They are supposed to invest in you, not the other way around. Go foreword with extreme caution. Do your research on this company and modeling agencies in general before continuing on with this company.

Our company has had an incredible, consistent, dependable relationship with Urban talent! We have been accessing their Promotional Models for over a year now and have been Very pleased with these girls/guys! There is no perfection in life, but 99 percent of the time, these models show up early for work, professionally dressed, and ready to go to work! They have obviously been well trained because they come in with little need for instruction and jump right in as if they have worked for us for months! I also like that I can request what I need per job, and often it doesn t work out that I can give much notice even , and Camilla, the agent, gets right on it and fills the bill! The Models have been so kind and almost always send written ThankYou texts after they leave. I haven t felt the need to check on any other agencies out there in the Salt Lake area, because these guys have fulfilled our needs; Like don t fix what doesnt need to be fixed!:) ThankYou Urban Talent for being so awesome!!

I signed with Urban about 2 years ago. They have been beyond great to me. What a lot of people don t understand (google reviews) is that you have to put in the time & effort to be successful. If you ve never modeled before, you have to learn how to. I paid for the Style Inc classes and it helped me book ALOT more. I made back the entire investment in one gig. At this point, agents text me directly about jobs and auditions. Because of how I m treated and the effort the agents have put back into me, I would recommend this agency over any other one in Utah.
Urban Talent management has been professional and great at communication. Despite being on Zoom, the Style Inc. workshops have been super informative and have taught me a lot about modeling. Plus, my agent got me a gig as an extra in a Hallmark film without me even asking her! They re a great agency and are easy to work with.
This company is fraudulent. I came in as a model and they said I would have to take classes from Style Inc (their partner in crime). The classes were really expensive but I had a good paying job at the time. And then I lost that job. I tried to cancel my classes because I physically didn't have the funds and I hadn't even started the classes yet. They said in order to cancel, I would need to pay them $800 and sign an NDA stating that I would not tell anybody about it. I didn't have $800. That was 4 years ago. Now Style Inc is suing me for $4,233.74. This "company" is unethical and needs to he shut down.
EDIT: A talent agency should not make you pay for classes. They should be investing in you, not the other way around.
Another edit: A reputable agency that cares about their clients, would not put their talent in that position. Urban Talent was not looking out for my best interests, they were looking out for Style Incorporated's best interests. This was not like buying a car, because I did not take the car home or even go as far as test driving it. Just because the contract was legal, doesn't make it right. It was a shady contract signed by a 19 year old. I understand that talent must be trained, but this was unreasonable. I would avoid this company altogether if these are the agreements they expect from their talent.

I ve only attended a couple workshop so far, but I get the impression that the people working for the agency WANT you to succeed and be the best model/actor you can be. They stress the importance of practicing and working hard in order to get jobs and that this career is going to take work if you want to be successful! If you are new to the industry I highly suggest signing up for the Style Inc workshops! Does it cost money? YES! Will it help you learn the industry and become a professional in your field? YES! Nothing in life is going to just fall into your lap, you will have to work for it and prove to them and yourself you are ready for auditions. The agency wants to you to feel confident at auditions and will help you get there with a little hard work on your part. I m so excited to see where this opportunity takes me!
These cats are a joke! They charge upwards of 3K for classes but when you decide you cannot make it to the classes from the start there should be a recision factored in. No, they don't care. They won't work with you either. Outrageous prices with crazy promises.

I am a new face talent here and so far everyone has been so nice and so helpful ! I ve learned a lot and in just so little time I can t wait to see how this plays out !:) The starting price for the classes are a little bit pricey but it pays off because it s a one time payment and when you re done paying them you can go to however many classes you want like you can come back into years or something and still go to the classes I definitely think that this is worth it .

This place is a con job. They contacted me on Facebook and had me come in then they tried to sell me a $1,100 training program! I wish I would have read the reviews before I went in. The whole experience was aggravating and a total waste of time!

We have loved our experiences with Alexa and Kendal. My girls and I had a wonderful time preparing lunch for the homeless. My daughter has learned a lot from her classes and will continue to attend them monthly. We have never had another agent, so our opinion is limited.
My daughter Hannah was signed with Urban talent a few months ago and just loves being apart of urban. She has not only gained alot of confidence but knowledge in modeling and acting through their workshops. She always comes home excited about what she learned and how much fun she had. Her faviorte workshop has been the actors helping actors. Jennifer has been so helpful and great when i have any questions in the Boise office.

I've been with Urban Talent for a couple years and I can tell you it's full of hardworking people who are there to help you. The thing is with any agency, they will work as hard as you do. They can't provide jobs for you if you aren't putting in any effort yourself. The classes they provide are incredibly helpful and if you work hard you will go far. I love this agency I couldn't be luckier right now. My agents are wonderful and they are always there to help me.
I have just recently signed with urban, I ve gone through some classes. I ve already worked some promotional events. This agency is very upfront from the beginning, as soon as I came in I was informed of all the payments needed and who I would be working with, yes you will pay a fee in advance but it is very easily paid off within 1-4 months. This all depends on how much work YOU put into it though. Urban simply helps you by helping you gather what you need and educating you on proper form. I m excited to see what more is to come.
My girlfriend was using urban talent and they would get her gigs, but call her at the last minute everytime, within 12 hours or less of the modeling gig. Some weren't even modeling gigs, they were sales gigs... which isn't what she is paying them for. Her agent was terrible. I would stay away from them.
They will also charge you a fee for not showing up when they don't give you any notice of a gig. SCAM SCAM SCAM.
The all are so welcoming and I ve had a really great experience with this agency and they always make sure you are well covered with information!
