Need a trustworthy modeling agency? Check these guys out, they have very friendly and helpful staff along with photographers and great classes to attend.

My daughter signed up with the understanding that she would be moving to LA soon. UT did absolutely nothing to assist her and actually sent a collection agency after me without one phone call or bill. They just disappeared "poof". Basically, it's like throwing your money out of a moving car. Totally unprofessional and unhelpful. No return phone calls. Nothing.

I went to Urban Talent thinking it would be nice to try something different. They were very professional and took the time to explain all of the processes involved - and what I would have to do to learn everything!
I was told that they could set me up with the training that I needed and gave me information so that I could get my headshots done. They also informed me about the orientation meetings and other opportunities for training. I never felt any pressure at all to sign anything when I went in!
I made the decision to attend the training classes and loved them! I learned so much from the classes! Not only did I think the information was helpful just for the talent industry, but it was very useful for any professional situation! It really helps with your confidence and how you present yourself! The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and encouraged questions!
If you put in the effort, attend the trainings and do your part, they provide lots of opportunities for you!
They definitely want to see you succeed. I have loved my experience so far and hope to continue for a long time!
I would definitely recommend Urban Talent!

I would give less if I could, while they try to get you to sign, they do nothing but stroke your ego and gush about how "perfect" you are for this industry. Only to sit me in a class and for three hours in essence tell me (a High Schooler) how I'd be much more "marketable" if I lost 10-15 pounds, at 5'8 and 128 pounds I would be physically unwell to lose that much weight. So if you're looking to get bullied by a grown woman all evening than this is for you.

With a working relationship with Urban Talent Management of over 25 years, I can attest to their diligence, hard work and professionalism as a talent agency and a development vehicle for individuals who are interested in working in the fields of modeling and acting. As a producer and acting coach based in Los Angeles, I work with many agencies, both here and in the regional markets where we do business. Urban has consistently provided the highest level of professionalism. I have worked with many of people who have been represented by this agency and observed first hand how their careers have been advanced with the representation by Urban Talent Management. They didn't get to be one of the top agencies in Utah by scamming people and they will continue being a top agency because of their commitment to their talent, their clients and the community at large (yes, they do a lot of community service as well as represent talent). This industry isn't for everyone and Urban Talent isn't for everyone, but if you are a professional or working to become one, you won't find a better place in Utah or Idaho to pursue your career.

It was amazing!! I went to their class over the weekend and they really make sure you have everything you need to get started and help you out with anything you need. 10/10 would recommend for anyone wanting to get in this business!!

I have only just begun with Urban and I am incredibly excited for this journey. Everyone at Urban has such a great personality and is very helpful when you need them. Through the training you really find the confidence in yourself and understand everything that goes into this industry. They are super helpful and really care about you as an individual. You always feel valued and appreciated. The environment is always so positive and encouraging. They really have helped me grow as a person and as a model!

Love this company. A lot of people say they are fake but I know that is wrong. Yes you have to pay to join, but once you join if you stay on top of training you are going to book work. All bad reviews are due to lazy and cheap people.

The Urban Talent staff is incredibly kind. It is an intimidating industry to get into, but the people are supportive and the training they provide not only prepares you for the industry, but provides you a mindset for overcoming your fears in general. I've only been working with them for a short while, but I'm excited to continue.

This place is a joke. PLEASE listen to the bad reviews they are very accurate. They stole $1,000.00 from us $1,000!!! We tried numerous times to set a time with their photographer and nothing was ever set up. The times we were told about any auditions were last minute and they expected my 5 year old to memorize a paragraph in an hour. He was sent to auditions that weren't even for his age. He went to 2 lame auditions that were a waste of time. Ever since we never heard from them. Rhyan Atrice was supposedly the person helping us through it all. All he wanted was for us to sign promising this and that and we got nothing out of it but stolen money we didn't have to spare. I'm hoping We can get our money back or some of it. DO NOT! Sign a contract with these scammers. They are a bunch of liars. Please don't be fooled! They deserve negative a million stars!

Urban has been a great resource for me as a model who moved from California and needed someone to represent me in the fitness industry here in Salt Lake. They are incredibly professional and responsive and always answer phone calls and texts when I have a question or need assistance with a job or casting. I have booked a lot of jobs through them and am thankful for the relationship that I have developed with them over the past three years.

I absolutely love this agency. They have so much opportunity for building my skills, and give information and insight on the industry. Jen is so supportive and uplifting, not to mention on top of her job. Charleigh is always so helpful and quick to respond when I have questions. In this industry its truly up to YOU to build your BUSINESS and be dedicated to yourself, no one should be holding your hand. However, it is an amazing feeling having Urban Talent in my court! They truly have shown they have my back and only desire building me up.

I received amazing training! They give you great information. Not only did they provide great service but they thoroughly went through anything my group and I need or had any questions on. I would 100% recommend Urban Talent Management if you are looking in to modeling!!

I wouldn t even consider this place a legit agency. It s a scam. They will sign you up for classes, lie that you will find jobs after and if you choose to cancel they will charge thousands in fees and send it to collections. This is the WORST agency in Utah. Don t do it.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Seriously...do not sign with them no matter how good they make it sound. They don t deliver the promises of getting modeling and acting jobs like they like to promise. Then, if you want the be done, they will ruin your credit and send you to collections if you don t pay their $2,000! Would never ever ever recommend them!! They have ZERO integrity! Worst company I ve ever dealt with!!!!! Can t emphasize it enough!!

Let s be factual here Owner , your company only followed up when there was no payment or to keep pumping me up because of how perfect of a model I would be! That ones for you Alexandra, who only contacted me before signing but then once I did it, there was no more contact. Not because there was a job or because there were classes that I could attend. And even if I didn t want to attend the classes, the $1700 would have still needed to be paid which is total BS!! SCAM SCAM SCAM!! After doing further research into modeling agencies, no model should have to pay for anything like this. The agency should have enough faith in the model they are signing to invest IN THEM! This company is all about money and no wonder you ask people to write a review, because your review ratings suck! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!! Read the other negative reviews and you ll really see the true URBAN!

I signed with Urban in May and have loved working with them so far. I have booked serval jobs & they are eager to help me get booked. I style Workshop was helpful as well. New talent will really benefit from all the info. The booking agents Tina & Kendall have been phenomenal.

I have wanted to be a model for a really long time but didn t know where to start. I started applying to places and when Urban responded I was so happy. They truly are one of the best agencies around, they were very willing to help me learn more about modeling. Everyone who works there is super welcoming and nice. I really appreciate all the work they ve put in to help me become a model!

Wasn t sure how I would be treated with my first experience in this industry. I didn t know what to expect and despite that, Urban Talent blew my expectations out of the water. I felt like they were very concerned about me and my success, and I could tell that they provided their clients with the highest quality talents by spending so much time and energy in refining their talents. Every professional model that I know has told me, Do not pay an agency anything. If they ask for your money, is a scam. I took this advice with me when I went to Urban Talent, but was actually proven wrong. This agency trains and sets their talent up for success. The price for the training, portfolio, and headshots is reasonable and I now feel prepared and confident to go to a job. I actually know how to represent Urban Talent and myself well. Tina prepared me for anything a job might throw at me, and Ryan taught me to have confidence in what I m doing. This agency is a wonderful place to learn and grow.

They place ads saying that they are casting for models and then book an appointment. They have you wait for a long time until they find someone who can meet with you who is not the person you made an appointment with "Hailey". Then someone meets with you and says for $1700.00 the company will represent you. When I called them I SPECIFICALLY asked if this was for a casting or if they were going to ask me for money. "Hailey" told me that they were casting for models and that there would be no money charged. I told her I did not want to come in if they were going to ask me to pay to be represented. Then I came and waited 45 minutes and was told that I had to pay to be represented. This made me very angry. I do not like when businesses misrepresent their company. Also they post ads to people who are seriously looking for work only to trick them into coming in and having to pay them. I would not recommend this company. They are unprofessional, they waste your time and charge $1000 for a photo shoot stating you have to use their photographer.

Awesome agency! They help you with everything you need and prepare you for success as a professional model. There are many jobs opportunities with them and if you work hard you will get much more booking jobs

Urban is my first agency and I honestly can t imagine working with a better group of trainers and bookers. Everyone there is so knowledgeable, experienced, and easy to talk to. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with them so far and genuinely feel like they want to help me succeed in this industry!

SCAM. They have fake 5 star reviews here from employees families ect. They act nice but for a good scam to work you have to be nice. They will not help you advance in your career. A real Modeling agency doesn't charge like that and can help you get a actual booking. Urban is useless. You will never make the $1700 back from them they took while working there

My wife was a model for urban and was injured in a car accident. As a result she wasn't able to model and urban told us they didn't want to be involved in the claim. Urban doesn't care about their models.

Terrible company. Does not respond to calls, emails, etc. Doesnt uphold their end of contract. Dismissive in concerns. Treats their shelved models as objects with no respect or value. Rude. Manipulative contracts with loop holes. Blatant disregard for concerns from clients, contracts and models. They require money from you to join their agency. I've seen this with countless models and hear of endless concerns from professionals in the industry. Dont fall into their trap.

They've been so great at providing professional training, as well as opportunities to go with it!

NOT a scam. The signing fee is not only a purchase you make for workshops, meetings, and a portfolio shoot, but it acts as insurance for the agency just in case you suddenly change your mind and don't want to act or model. They invest time and effort into training you and booking you jobs, so if you're serious about this profession, stick with them and you'll be well off.

The trainings they give over zoom and in person have been so helpful in increasing my modeling skills and confidence and have prepared me to take jobs!! Everyone here is amazing! They all really wanted to help you improve. I like how everyone is real as well, they aren t people who will be kind to you because they have to. Especially during the Style Inc class every single person in the class is given critiques they can relate to and use. Nothing ever vague. I really like that the class is offered to everyone and there is an opportunity to take more classes to improve on your skills.

I've been in the agency for over a month now and I'm loving it! They are super responsible and professional! Anytime I need their help by email or text they are always there to answer my questions. I have enjoyed my time at Urban Talent. I have learned so many things that I didn t know before. The people there are interested in helping you succeed because they want to be able to send our qualified and knowledgeable talent. I learned absolutely so much through Style Inc. training, Urban talent management really does all they can to help prepare you for this industry. There was so much I didn t know, but through the training I feel confident and ready to start getting castings.

I was extremely wary when I was contacted by a scout for Urban, because I had done my research and seen the reviews here which made me so nervous that they were a scam. However, I believe in looking into things for myself, and I'm SO glad I did. Everyone I met and spoke to was incredibly nice and professional, and Alex was delightful and forthright. She was upfront about the mandatory training, itemized the cost of the classes and told me about those teaching them, and then was perfectly fine with me saying I simply couldn't afford to right now. If the trainers they have lined up have done even half of what she said, they're worth paying for the expertise. And, as some other reviews have already said, you can make the cost of the training back in 1-4 bookings, depending on the job and how proactive YOU are. Modeling and talent is hard work, and having a great agency to support you AND HELP YOU LEARN AND IMPROVE is nothing to be scoffed at, even if it does require an initial investment. I told Alex to contact me in a few months when my finances are more stable, and I hope to take her up on the offer to be a part of Urban at that time. =)

Note: The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is because I haven't actually worked with Urban yet, so I can't say I know more than a first impression.

They mass recruit by sending the same message to hundreds of models. They re not genuin and I have yet to meet a single person who has had a good encounter with them. You will get looped into tons of law issues and contracts while they scam you. And they make it INCREDIBLY hard to get out of their contracts! Avoid this agency at all costs.

I have enjoyed the style incorporated workshops very much. Tina is super knowledgeable and she pushes you to your limits during the trainings. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Alexa and all of the other staff at Urban. Excited for my future with them.

Have booked Urban several times for talent and have always been pleased with the service, talent, rates, and professionalism.

It is difficult for me to give this organization a 5 star rating simply because we are new to the industry and do not have prior experience to compare Urban to.
So far I am fairly pleased with our experience, I didn t know what I was getting into when my daughter scheduled an appointment for us to meet with Urban Talent Management but my 15 year old had shown a lot of interest and took initiative to research and set up and appointment to pursue a potential career in modeling. I want to support her ambitions so accepted the invite to meet. I think I did sign the contract prematurely an overall not disappointed that we did. I would suggest to anyone considering to make sure you have headshots before you go in, it will speed up the processes of being able to book jobs.
I appreciate that Urban provides training opportunities to get you familiar with the new territory. Whenever I gave had a question with by phone or email they are always very quick to respond and provide the needed information. I wish that training could happen a little sooner, perhaps Covid has prevented us from having a typical experience. It is just frustrating to know that you are paying monthly but cannot book any jobs till trading is done as well as headshots but I get it and you have to start somewhere, Urban s reputation is online so the models need to be trained at least a little before showing up. I hope there is ongoing opportunity for training beyond the initial classes.
My daughter has only just finished her training which she very much enjoyed and feels she learned a lot. I would like her to retake some of them because her perspective has changed throughout the training and some review might help her processes things differently. We are now just waiting to get our headshots (which by the way we booked thought Urban and it takes avery long time to get back) so she can finally start applying for some jobs and hopefully recoup some of what we have invested in this.
I think this will be a good learning experience and as Urban reminds us, You get out what you put it , it definitely takes a lot of initiative to get ourselves out there, Urban is a middle man and the responsibility to seek auditions is on you.

The company is a sham, to shake money out of teenagers. They have zero parking and make customers park in a neighborhood. Terrible company. Do not work with them.

They will set up a meeting with you and tell you that you must pay them nearly $1,800 for trainings and headshots. After that, you *might* book jobs, maybe.

Also, they don t wear masks over their noses and they ll take them off at times while inside their building.

They don't even deserve one star. Total scam, don't waste your time or your money. I mean, if I was rating them on how good they are at scamming people they would get 5 stars. Urban Talent is a joke. My advice to you, is run as far away from them as you can.

Urban Talent Management is a school, nothing else. They'll "sign" you on and make you pay for "classes" to "prepare" you for modeling or acting. This agency was a waste of my time and money.

I know that there are a lot of reviews that say that this place is a scam or that they are only trying to get your money with training and that you won't get anything out of it in the long run. Well let me clarify some things for you!

1. Urban Talent Management is exactly what they say they are, they are a talent and modeling agency who's primary goal is to get their models and talent booked for jobs. They do not care about money from training because the money from training does not go to them, it goes to Style Inc. (which brings me to number 2)

2. Style Inc. is a privately owned corporation devoted to helping new and aspiring models, actors, talent, etc. become incorporated into the modeling or acting industry. They are comprised of models and actors who are highly talented and skilled in their respective industry and have all have successful and renowned careers, they are all well respected and regarded in the industry and also happen to be phenomenal teachers.

3. Style Inc. and Urban Talent Management work exclusively together in order to provide a competitive edge for all of the aspiring talent who are scouted by Urban. These talent are given all the opportunities to succeed and become well integrated into the modeling/talent industry. There is a cost to the training, the professional portfolio and for your place on their website. The talent agency (Urban Talent) does not make you pay a thing but takes commission on all of your bookings, which is expected with any talent agency. Anything that other reviewers say about Urban just trying to take money is FALSE.

I read almost every single review before I signed with Urban and was highly skeptical of everything, it seemed almost too good to be true and that my investment would not come to fruition in the end. I WAS WRONG! I have been trained and I have learned so much and I feel like I would not be able to get anywhere in this industry without Style Inc. and the professional training it provides. Urban is the top booking Talent Agency in Utah and Idaho and I know that if you are asked to sign with Urban and you put in the time, energy and effort you can make a profitable career and have a blast as well. These people are amazing and so much fun to work with.
I am a licensed massage therapist and it cost a lot of money to get the training and licensing needed for my career, the initial investment needed for Style Inc. is minimal and well worth everything I have already gotten out of my time here with Urban and Style Inc.

I ve been meaning to leave this place a negative review for years, and I would leave -5 stars if I could. I came here as a teenager without the help or guidance of a parent and Urban took full advantage. I NEVER recieved the photo shoot or website slot I paid for and was never assisted with booking jobs. Way to scam a young, naive, poor, college girl out of almost $2,000!!! Disgusting!!! Learn from my mistake and STAY AWAY FROM URBAN. I am thoroughly convinced all of the 5 star reviews on here were provided by new talent at the behest of the agency.

I ve been approached by other agency s in the past and have always been hesitant because of my lack of knowledge of the industry as well as all of the horror stories of people being scammed.

When I was approached by one of Urban Talents scouts I decided to take a shot and met with one of the agents (Alexa). She was professional but also personable. She immediately made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions which really put my mind at ease about signing with them.

The trainings they offer through Style Inc are INSANE! (in a good way) Tina who leads/created the trainings has been in the industry for over a decade! and has so much knowledge and experience under her belt that she implemented into condensed bit size trainings that give you a head start in all aspects of the modeling/acting industry.

All and all if you are new or have little to no experience in the industry, but are willing to put in the time and work. Urban Talent Management is not only the best way for you to get your footing in the industry, but also the best way to get a foot in the door!!

At first the class was very intimidating but the longer we were there the more comfortable it became. The class helped me a lot to get a better understanding of what it is a model does. Though I still need practice I had fun and recommend this class to other new talents.
