Love the iPad wine list! Anniversary dinner at the Capital Grille. The digital wine list is a game changer. Sometimes we want to try a new wine but aren t familiar with it. The wine notes were spot on!

My wife and I went to Shula's Steakhouse for our anniversary. When we sat down, the server greeted us with an iPad wine and dessert menu. We fell in love with this iPad menu almost immediately! It was so easy to navigate. For someone who doesn't know a lot about wines, this was a dream come true. Having all the information in front of me in a tangible and exciting manner really takes the intimidation factor out of choosing a wine. Beyond the wine, there were cocktails, liquors, beers, and desserts featured on the iPad as well! All with great descriptions and pictures! I downloaded the Uptown Network app on my own iPad and was able to look at other restaurants that have iPad menus as well. Some of the restaurants are full menu including entree descriptions and images. Say goodbye to having to guess what your order is going to look like! What I loved most is that it was an upscale iPad menu in a super sleek leather case/book and not a distracting eye sore on the table. I have been places that have those mini menu things on the table where you can play games and pay at the table, and I am not a fan of them. This menu does not take away from the dining experience at all, it compliments it. The server is still there and attentive, where as I believe that the table top options with games, ordering capabilities, and pay options pretty much replace the server and turn them more into a food and beverage runner. I see the menu as more of a tool to make the server better. We loved it and I can not wait to see more of these pop up everywhere!
