Great place, I really enjoyed their beer selection...
Great place, I really enjoyed their beer selection.
Great place, I really enjoyed their beer selection.
Great service, food, and beer, plus regulation size pool tables. A+
Wow!! Great place, had the Omaha Ribeye, little lean for my taste. But it was done to perfection. A must visit when here in Omaha!
Great food, great beer! The beer cheese soup is a must!
A year ago this place was great. In the last 2 weeks of September 2018 not impressive. The food is not that good lately and the meatloaf is terrible. Service was slow. Over priced.
We stopped in Omaha for a night while on a road trip and happened to find Upstream Brewery while looking for a nice place for dinner. We were SO glad we did! Food was great, the outdoor seating was perfect, and the surrounding area (the Old Market district) was really fun to walk around in on a warm summer evening. I had the pork chop at Upstream and it's one of the best I've ever had. Even the squash tasted amazing. My girlfriend got the seared tuna and loved it. Great experience overall, and even better for being a random find in a lovely part of the city that we were unfamiliar with. We're driving back next week and plan to stop in Omaha again just to go back to Upstream!
They have vegetarian options. it was the first garden burger I've tried, it will probably be the last. The service was great and the beer was tasty.
Have not been here in years since I moved out of state. Still never a disappointment!!! Had the grilled salmon and it was great. Matched it with the firehouse red ale. Great!!
The food was cold, the service was horrible and the filet minion was hard. I wish I were making this up. There are much better options very close by.
We went in with a group of six and had a very friendly waitress. I had just turned 21 and she suggested me her favorite, sweet drink 'Dragon Slayer'. I recommend! Everyone loved their food and it was good portions. A bit expensive but worth the price. Its a bit juvenile, but I would recommend the Upstream Mac and Cheese. Its very creamy and rich, even better with the blackened chicken! The recommendations on here for the Artichoke+Asiago dip didn't disappoint. They're generous and provide you with a birthday dessert of your choosing as well. While none of us got it, the brunch they host on Sundays had a wide variety of goodies! Would go back for more special events!
Absolutely amazing food, delicious drinks and friendly servers. I must try!!
Have eaten at both of their locations several times. This last time made reservations on line which was cool. Service was pretty slow, they were busy but seemed like they were understaffed. My wife's Jumbolia was OK....not as good as there Dodge location. My sandwich was pretty shabby, cold bun, fries were soggy. Pretty disappointed. Doubt we will go back to this location.
Went for cocktails with my family and sitting out on the roof top deck was so nice. Food was great but service was slow.
An excellent dining experience. Wait staff was very helpful and attentive. I'll be back.
Good service - great food. Very cool atmosphere - Can't wait to go back!
Went to have apps & drinks tonight. Sat in outdoor patio with 11mo old & my dog on the sidewalk nearby. Brandon was my server & such a genuine guy! Went way above and beyond. It's so nice to get great customer service. He even brought water for my dog.
Beer was refreshing, fried calamari was delicious & the mustard with the fried pickles was great. Thanks so much!
My wife and I have gone to Upstream for years. Anytime we meet with friends to do something downtown this is our default destination for food. Everyone has always been more than satisfied.
The atmosphere was great and the food was decent. Great beers to help compliment the food
Good house brewed beer. Food is so delicious. Service is ok. Venue is really fun with pool tables and lounge area on the second floor.
Too long of a wait, first waited to be seated. Then waited for water, then the wait staff said she would be back "shortly". We left no food,no service!
Stopped in for a flight to try some local brews while I was in town. Beers were ok but the bartenders couldn't have been more disinterested. Tried to get some backstory and explanation of their beer and brewing process and either they didn't know or they didn't care enough to say anything about them. I guess I'm spoiled from my local brewers who are proud of the efforts they put in. Ok, whatever... I can draw my own conclusions. When we were done and ready to pay I told disinterested bartender (didn't catch his name but easily identifiable by his little handlebar moustache and man bun) and he walked away and bussed some plates from down the bar. I repeated my request and he made some stupid comment like, "that requires something from you.". No, it requires YOU to tell me what I owe. I had many great experiences while in Omaha, but this wasn't one of them. Quality of food and drink aside, I can't recommend this place simply because of the attitude of one employee.
Worst gluten free menu options in town. One meal even tells you to exclude chicken broth....
Always good. I can go in with a crowd or by myself and have good food & service.
Late night atmosphere was not very welcoming. I would not consider this craft beer, very generic and nothing special. Lots of empty tables and hard to have a conversation. Food presentation was poor, steaks look like they were just thrown on the rest of the plate. It took multiple times to get the steaks cooked correctly, but after that steaks tasted very good, however very overpriced. Staff members eating in plain site of customers. Our server was very nice, he is what made the experience enjoyable. Overall would probably not recommend.
Great food, excellent atmosphere, and good service. Eating outside was nice.
Upstream is going downhill! Waitress knew nothing about beer. Didn't know what was on tap. Was very short and snippy. Service was incredibly slow, forgot our appetizers, served our food after it sat under heat lamps for a while...there was a crusty film on the soup and gravy. Won't be long until this Omaha landmark goes out of business. A real shame; they used to be so good.
Food was mediocre, service wasn't great. There are better breweries in Omaha.
Excellent food, great beer, service was exceptional, and bartenders sure knows how to draw taps of beer!
Great beer. Great food. Sat outside and loved the atmosphere
Meatloaf had a good sauce, but it didn't save it from being a rubbery blob of disgusting. Meatloaf should be tender and slightly sweet. Waiter didn't know the menu. Vegetables were warm but not actually cooked.
Excellent variety of home brews, great atmosphere, many uniquely prepared appetizers and entree choices. Service was wonderful and Kylie was very helpful explaining menu choices and answering any questions we had. Highly recommend!!
Great beer and pretty decent food. And it is a huge place. Most don't know about it, but there is a balcony that is great in the right weather.
My first beer was very pleasant and smooth. As for my second, not so much. I had ordered an Imperial Stout and what I got was more along the lines of a Wee Heavy Scotch Ale. The waitress seemed lost as it took her around 10 minutes to bring me a beer. My wife s margarita had no tequila taste and was overloaded with sugar and mango syrup.
The kitchen staff needs work. My spinach artichoke dip tasted like straight sour cream with no real flavor. The mustard for the pretzel bites was horrendous. It was more of a stone ground mustard mixed with dijon and then watered down. The poutine was the best part of the meal but still there could be improvement. The pork belly bites were burnt which in turn becomes bacon. My second order of poutine I asked for bacon and got none. The ends of the fries were burnt and the rest of the fries on the plate took on the burnt flavor.
Great menu to choose from, wonderful staff and delicious food.
Great brewery and restaurant! It's a rare occasion when a brewery has both great beers and fantastic food but Upstream pulled it off to perfection. As on top fantastic service by our bartender and this is a place to visit often!
Unique menu, impeccable food quality. Good service.
Excellent brews and whiskey. Sampled most of their offerings. I particularly enjoyed the White Whiskey and Bourbon.
Got the New York Strip Steak. I don't think I've ever paid for a steak so bad in my life. Hours later, I can still taste the char, and my teeth hurt from chewing. I wouldn't normally be so critical about a steak, but being that this is Omaha (aka Steak Central) and I paid $30 for this basically hamburger steak, I'm not too happy about it.
Great service and food. Was here for a wedding party and the service was above all expectations. Their food variety was great.
The food is amazing and not too high prices. Great drinks also
Fantastic place. Might be the best fish and chips I've ever had. Good beer. Nice kids menu. Offer a gluten free menu as well. Highly recommend!
I've never had a bad meal here, the specials are always off the highest caliber. We'll go out of our way for the smoked gouda beer cheese soup.. if there's one thing you have to have, it's definitely the beer cheese soup!
Bread pudding is a must when you visit Upstream Brewing!
Jade is an amazing server that has great menu knowledge. I started with pretzel bites and the cheese dip is very savory. Followed was the chicken soup mmmmm! Topped off with a jyicy burger covered with provolone cheese and then washed it down with a cool refreshing IP brew. Must try when in town! And also they are cyclist friendly a major plus when needing to fuel up for a long ride or after one.
If you're looking for beer, its good. If you want a place that won't rip you off, I wouldn't recommend this one. Pizzas are on special for the night we went. One of their choices is the Italiano pizza. All I wanted was a pizza with pepperoni with tomato slices, both of which are both on that pizza along with 5 other ingredients I didn't want. So that's what I asked for. Seems simple, right? Wrong. When I got the bill, they charged me for a $7 pizza (which was the special price) with an additional charge for $1.50 for tomato slices (which is more than the price of an entire tomato). I saved them the price of 5 other ingredients on my pizza but got charged $1.50 extra. You know what the bartender said when asked? It's because it's easier for the kitchen to put it in with additions instead of taking 5 ingredients off. When I pointed out how ridiculous this was, she tried to tell me "well it had a different sauce", which is an absolute lie. I don't know if I'll be back to Omaha in the future but I won't be coming here.
Friendly staff. was disappointed with my 'Omaha steak' for the price. Wasn't expecting fireworks, but Outback would've been better. Beer was okay.
Great food and service. I loved the O! Gold Light Lager. I will be back when I come to town.
Great place downtown for food and drinks! Love the outdoor rooftop seating when the weather is nice. There's also patio seating outside in front, great for people watching.
I often travel on business and get to Upstream Brewery and sit at the bar for the extended happy hour. It is not to be missed. However, of the late, I don't think the staff is overly friendly and just seem to 'take orders' and when thanking them, once I got an "uh-huh" from one of the barmaids. She could of said , "You're welcome or my pleasure, but "uh-huh"? The food is very good but I would recommend going with a friend to distract from the lack of friendliness.
Ben is the man, and I appreciate that they cook till 10 on Sundays, it allows us Service Industry people a great place to eat after we're done at our restaurants.
The slightly older, balding white male server is a disgusting human.
Everything else about our meal was incredibly good, and we will come back despite this creep. Fire him immediately.
Great beer! Great food! Wasn't too busy when I was there.
Food was all dry; hamburger, pizza, and chicken. Slow service.
Great prices for a great breakfast. Friendly staff.
Had the 12 beer sampler, and the cucumber ale was the only one I didn't like. The pizza was great, a BBQ Chicken on a cracker crust. I had my usual Dundee 90 ale and it was tasty and full bodied. The peach cobbler was extremely good, and the vanilla bean ice cream on it made it perfect.
I appreciate that they make it easy to secure a reservation, even for a small party of three, online and well in advance. Traditional menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, but with a more upscale twist. I got the fish and chips and had three huge pieces of fish, fries, and the cucumber salad. I had to take some home because I had filled up on the delicious spinach and artichoke dip appetizer that comes with bread. Delicious food and I have only had great service here.
Had shrimp bacon appetizer and a couple of shrimp weren't cooked through. Other than that other appetizers were good. Beer was great. Good service.
I would recommend to friends the service is great the food was delicious the little bit cold not under cooked not over cooked the waiters and the way to the waitresses where very patient I think you should go to this restaurant is you would not spend a lot of money 15 dollars per person if you're going up 5 dollars of your child go to the restaurant I guarantee you will have a great time
Moderately priced. Food good. Beer good. Good thing was multi-leveled so different things going on in different areas.
Great place in old town market area. A must visit!
I have never experienced such great quick service! Excellent food and amazing atmosphere:)
Wow! Best wings in the omaha. Great atmosphere and lots of beer tasting options.
Tasty food and a nice atmosphere. A little pricey, but a pleasant surprise.
Great selection except they were out of my top 3 choices.
