This hospital is full of nothing but trash. The nurses here should all be fired. Sexual harassment is real even when it is female nurses toward a male. Enjoy your jobs this week because you will not have them for long. Next time you want to make fun of a patient, try doing so out of ear shot of the sick.

Was in there with my mom's for close to three hour...

Was in there with my mom's for close to three hours and the nurse only came in there once about two hours later to put a blood pressure cuff on my mom then left she left then almost an hour after that the the so called "doctor" came in there and looked like she didn't take a bath for about two weeks and smelt bad, there is no way she EVER went to any type of medical school. She did nothing but listen to my mom's lungs and heart and said that nothing was wrong, which clearly wasn't true with my mom sitting there clearly in pain. She lied to my mom and sadistic they had two cardiac emergencies that were rushed in but no one was rushed in and we could clearly see over there to see if someone was rushed in. NOBODY was rushed in. I would never go here even if my life or anyone else's life depended on it, they would just leave you there on a stretcher or bed and let you bleed to death or gasp for your last breath. The people there are trashy and I could hear the nurses and the so called "doctor" making fun of my mom and the few other patients that were there. I wouldn't wish this place or anyone that worked here on my worst enemy. My mom was in the medical field for eight years so she knows what most things do, when the "doctor" came in she said an x-ray doesn't show bones. I don't know what Shea was on but anybody knows that an x-ray shows bones, that the point of one. How is this considered an E.R. when they will let you just sit there in pain?

I went to Unity last month with bronchitis. Within minutes I was seen by a courteous nurse who administered a shot. I was in and out of there within fifteen minutes. Feeling better in less than 8 hours. A totally positive experience. I highly recommend this fine facility.

Would not recommend taking a dog to this facility....

Would not recommend taking a dog to this facility. Had scope on my knee there yesterday. They refused to give me any details about what was found and refused to let me speak with the doctor after. After recovery i was put in my room and the anesthesiologist checked on me about 10 minutes later. The nurses immediately came in after to dismiss me. I tried to ask questions and the only one they would halfway answer they told me the exact opposite of what the dr said before i had surgery. When i was being wheeled out of the hospital they ran my foot over with the wheelchair And slammed my leg into the door. She didn't lock the wheelchair and i almost fell getting out. Was promised i would receive a phone call that day as soon as they find someone who could answer even the simplest of questions and have still yet to hear anything. They said i should be able to put weight on my leg and walk but every time i try to stand my knee buckles and my pain meds are doing absolutely nothing to help with pain. Can't get the dr who did the surgery to come to the phone or get any kind of answers from his offices either. If I don't hear anything before standard office hours are over will be going to a real hospital that can get a copy of my records and tell me what this place won't and why I'm having the problems I'm having that I shouldn't be. Then in the morning I'm contacting the TN Health board and making a formal complaint. This place is a joke and they way they treat patients after surgery sounds like a major ethics violation if not other things. If i Could give 0 stars I would. You don't just push someone out the door immediately following surgery while refusing to answer any questions or letting them speak with the surgeon or a dr or anyone who could answer anything.

Went to the ER after sudden onset of suicidal idea...

Went to the ER after sudden onset of suicidal ideas. It scared me so I needed to speak with people. I know these cases take a long time with counselors being called in etc. the day shift nurse(s) were great but the night shift workers were completely worthless. They checked on me maybe 3x in 13 hours. Peak their head in and go back to their desk and say Yeah he is still breathing And during my conversation with the counselor, I overheard one of them say She is in Room 4 with the suicidal drunk - it was very degrading and completely unprofessional. If I wasn t embarrassed on going back to the Hospital, I would have taken the issue to administration. No one deserves to be treated like that. But then again, the 1st shift worker came in, and treated me excellent as soon as they got there. They need to realize when you re in a room alone, you hear a lot more than they realize. And from reading others reviews, apparently nursing staff enjoys making fun of many of the patients. But like I said the day time nurses were excellent but night shift workers were lazy and inattentive. I had to drink water from the sink because no one throughout the night offered me ice, water, Sprite. Nothing. I was lucky they checked every couple hours to make sire I was still breathing - The guy that was working ER Admitting was very good to me. Treated me with empathy and he was obviously very intelligent. He listened to me complain when I was leaving. He offered to take down information to pass on to Administration which was more than night shift did x10 but he was apologetic, but I told him he had nothing to apologize for, he didn t do anything wrong. He treated me better than anyone in the hospital but I didn t want to write anything out, I just wanted the hell out of that place they called a hospital. Overall, esp due to night shift and hearing them mock me, the daytime nurses and the Admitting guy took great care of me but the doctor was arrogant and judgemental as well as the rest of the staff. With the same complaints, you d think the hospital would crack down on the judgemental comments made by professionals - I took my situation very seriously because it was a sudden onset of ideation. I believe the night nurses could care less, they d of probably rather me just kill myself since apparently I was wasting their time. The hospital must be proud to pay their staff to sit at the nurses station and gossip all night because that s all I heard. It was degrading

Worst hospital ever! They closed one hospital and made the two come together as one. Well that sounds good but now the service is horrible, and they don't have enough staff to take care of the one hospital. Who ever made that decision should be fired!

My son crashed racing Motorcross at a nearby track and was taken by ambulance to this hospital. Nursing staff was great but the Dr was very unprofessional and sloppy looking. After X Rays the doc said it was not broken but he was still in extreme pain when moved. We decided to transport him to Vanderbilt Children's hospital in Nashville where they told us that both the bones in his leg were broke and displaced. His leg had to be set and casted. This hospital is also partially owned by the doctors and I felt like they just wanted to make money by doing more things to rack up a steep bill. I wouldn't recommend going here for ANYTHING.

I have been here several times over the few years mainly for asthma or high blood pressure, and I ve never had any problems with the staff.
Was there yesterday morning for an issue, my husband and I were very pleased with the doctor and nursing staff, as well as X-ray staff.
It is an older hospital and I see it needs some upgrades, but we ve always been treated cordially with the up most respect and privacy.

This place had got to be one of the worst hospitals I've even be admitted to. The two ER Drs didn't communicate with each other so they almost ran all the tests twice until I told the second Dr that they'd already been done. Even tho they got my medication list from the pharmacy I was never actually administered my daily medications. Medications that their Drs ordered for me to have every four hours, nurses actually skipped doses and gave excuses like oh we are just to busy and under staffed to get to everyone. I was at the hospital for 6-hrs and had asked several times for something to drink before anyone brought me something. Even when pushing the call button it would be an hour+ before someone would ask if I needed something or come check on me. Just a lousy experience.

Took 3hrs to get diagnosed with an anxiety attack. It was crazy on me so I went to the ER, I had to have someone drive me. I went in. Did information. Took 30minutes. Got temperature taken, heart rate, and stroke test (3mins) and sat on a bed side for 2hr 27mins with 1 check up(to fill out another medical document), doctor talked to me for 2-3mins about it explaining and talking about what I experience. Then sent off with 500$ bill.

Terrible situation. ER was disgusting. The nurses didn t realize they didn t know how to whisper so I heard every negative thing they had to say about every patient in the ER. I ve been before and the care was ok with day shift staff. Night shift is complete opposite. They sit around gossiping. Was ignored for the duration of my stay. The ER clerk that helps out the nurses was absolutely the rudest person I ve met. Mid 30s, blonde hair with the inability to smile or have any sort of personality at all. She could at least pretended she cared but had the personality of a rock. Spoke to me as if I was bothering her anytime I d request the smallest thing. I d walk out if I ever had to go back there again and deal with those people. I d risk my life to make it to a hospital further away especially since years ago, they missed a huge fracture in my foot and didn t call to inform me a week later that I later had to have surgery on because of what they missed. I wish the hospitals never merged in the first place

It sometimes felt like seconds were minutes, but they had us out the door within an hour to get more treatment.

I went in at 10:30pm puking blood....figured that was a emergency, Googling it everyone says go to the emergency room.. I left 2 hours later because noone came back to see me, i was crazy nauseous. They asked me to sign a paper saying that " i am leaving against the advice of the doctors". YOU NEED A DOCTOR TO GIVE YOU ADVICE FIRST! ! I now know....puking blood is nothing...next time it happens i will just wait and go to the VA and see my primary

My daughter was injured in a basketball game while in Manchester last weekend. She had head to head contact with another player requiring 9 stitches to her forehead. Dr Goldberg did not perform a concussion test. He asked her basic questions that she was able to answer. She never lost consciousness. She asked if she could play the rest of the weekend and he told her If you feel up to it. My daughter played in two games and ended up nauseous and dizzy. We saw her pediatrician Monday morning to find out she had a moderate concussion. The concussion test performed by her pediatrician was with lights and following fingers not just asking basic questions. Of course, my daughter is going to ask if she can play. She is competitive! The Dr should have told her no play for 48 hours to at least see if symptoms would appear!

Worst place ever. I took my friend there to the emergency room and she has anxiety really bad of needles to wear she will have a full blown panic attack. Well The nurse in the emergency room told her she was a waste of time and they had other people to see since she wouldn't give blood to run tests. Now it is not that my friend wouldn't have gave them blood but that she just needed to prepare herself an instead a nurse treated her this way. I will never be back at the hospital again!!! If you can't care enough about your patients then you don't need a job!

Primary care doctor ordered an MRI and Xrays. Decided on this hospital because they are so much cheaper than Winchester Hospital. The person at the front desk was very helpful. Had to go across the street for MRI. Both tests were done in a professional manner and in an acceptable time frame (didn't have to wait too long).
This is where the good part stops. About a month later I had to have a mylegram which is where they inject dye into the spinal column then do a CT scan.
I took the images on a disc to my surgeon and he couldnt even read it. The radiologist did it incorrectly. This test was very painful and it didnt have to be. I dont think he knew what he was doing. I had to have the test redone in Nashville with no pain whatsoever. The billing dept did write it off and I didnt have to pay for it. Will never go to this hospital again!

I recently had an experience with Unity Medical Center that I was most impressed with. The wait time I had from the time I walked into the emergency room to being seen by a physician was less than 15 minutes. I was given help by two people filling out the paperwork and both treated me like I was the only person in the world. To say I was impressed with the level of care and cooperation is an understatement. This is by far the best experience I have ever had with a medical facility. Manchester is lucky to have Unity and the great people that work there.

Radiology results are iffy at best. If you forget a medical report, dont plan on getting it before 8AM. And then it may take an hour. The receptionist needs an attitude adjustment and to paint a smile on her face if she is going to continue facing the public every day. Seems typical of Manchester , TN.

I visited this hospital a few months ago because a blockage was found in a scan I had gotten next door. I came in waited for an hour and had a doctor come in, press on my forehead and tell me it was an infection. The medicine only took the pressure away in my head I still have the hazey feeling. I was told I was free to go and I did not need to talk to anyone. I got a call from what I was told was collections saying that my forehead getting pushed on was worth over $1000. I would like to know who I talk to about this. My insurance information was not taken I was told that was already in the system.

This hospital always has been and always will be a joke. I have had family members there several times before they merged and after the merge and they would have gotten better treatment from a vet! I was there with a family member last Thursday and although the er nurses were great after said family member was admitted it went downhill. The day nurses were horrible. They are lazy and scared to death of the patients. I had to stay awake for over 24 hours to watch my family member to make sure he didn't get out of bed. And the next day when they finally stopped popping him full of valium and he was able to get up he fell in the bathroom and I had to help get him up. I even had one of the nurses to tell me I COULD NOT leave his room because she couldn't watch him. She was to busy playing in the hallway acting like she was working. Fast forward to him being released. 4 hours of excuse after excuse of why they didn't have his paper work ready. Then when he finally gets released all of his things were not given to me. His wallet was still in the safe in the er they gave me one envelope which contained his money but I was not aware that it didn't contain his wallet. I called the hospital the same night and the story was they couldn't get the safe open and the boss was gone. I would receive a phone call on Monday. Monday came and went and no call. I called back yesterday 11/2 and was told I would get a call back. I still haven't received the call. Here it is a week from the day he was taken in and I still have not received his wallet or a phone call!!! Pathetic excuse for a hospital

My husband was extremely sick two years ago, extremely! After weeks of waiting to get better, he finally felt bad enough for a trip to the ER. He was so sick and I was a wreck worrying about him. The staff was exceptional in handling the both of us. They ran tests, brought in doctors to explain everything I had questions about (and I had a ton). The results they provided ultimately lead us to his diagnosis and I get to keep my husband. I truly believe our happy outcome would not have been a reality had it not been for the thorough work of the these fine people. I am eternally grateful to them.

This place is getting worse than better! My father is in here for pneumonia. They basically have not done anything that couldn't be done at home. I sat there for over 4 hours waiting on the Dr to come see him to find out what was going on. Went as asked nurses a couple of times where the Dr was. All they said was he was in the hospital and didn't know when he would be around. Most people have other things to do besides waiting for a Dr that don't care enough to even go see patents much less their families when asked for.
With that being my only day off I did have other things needed to be done besides sitting and waiting and wondering if we ever we're gonna get to see they so called dr that was supposed to be there. Thank God there was not a real life or death emergency. This place is getting Worse than better. Maybe they should have left the old hospital running. In 5 hours of sitting here besides going and asking if there was even a Dr coming , only one nurse has been in to check on him or to even see if he was ok. Wonder if it is like this all the time do they have patents die and not even know it?? It's not like the hospital is full with patents either. Several rooms are empty. Wouldn't even give them a one star but it would let you rate any lower. I killed about 3 bugs crawling on the floor while i was sitting there also.

Was there six hours for them to tell my diabetic mother who doesn't sweat from the knee down that she has athlete's foot. Very reluctant to let family go back with patients. No designated smoking area. They send you out to the roadside where there's no shoulder. Plus side, if you come in in handcuffs with an armed guard, you'll be in and out in 20-30 minutes.

First of all if you're thinking about using this hospital for anything I would advise you not to you will be happy that you did. Within 5 minutes of having my grandmother at the ER the doctor let my mother know that she had "given up" guess that means my grandmother wasn't priority and that's exactly how she was treated for the remainder of the time she was there. She did not receive any type of care I could have put her in a hotel and she would have gotten better care. And don't think that you can be seen by your doctor they have "hospitalists" for that and they don't do their jobs either I don't think there's anybody in the entire hospital that does their job except for the people that work in the kitchen. I would have given this Hospital negative Stars if I could have. I wish everybody would read the reviews so they wouldn't make the mistake of taking their loved ones to this hell hole. I love my nana dearly and it pains me greatly that this is the type of care she had before the end of her life thank God she did not pass away in this Hospital, we took her home. I would not have been able to live with myself knowing that her last minutes of life we're in a place like that with people that did not care about her or her comfort.

I had a severe blood poisoning due to a pic line that was infected and had spread into my heart and lungs and laid on a hard flat table twelve hours to be told I was being transferred to Nashville (thank God) but no one checked on me and I just laid there. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy.

A few weeks ago a fell down and hurt both my ankles. My wife drove me to UMC ER as both ankles were very swollen, starting to bruise, I was in severe pain, and I couldn't walk. The nurses came right out to the car with a wheel chair and I was taken straight back. That is the only good thing I have to say about my experience. From there my ankles were x-rayed. I informed both the nurses and the doctor my left leg higher up close to my knee also hurt very badly. But they did not listen. I was informed by the doctor that I had minor sprains in both ankles. I was still in quite a bit of pain, but over heard the nurses talking at the desk that they did not see what my problem was because I only had sprained ankles. A nurse came in and wrapped both ankles in ace bandages and I was sent home. After a week the pain had not gotten any better, the bruising and swelling was worse, and I could still barely walk. I then went to TOA in Murfreesboro. They x-rayed both my legs, ankles, and feet. Right away the doctor found that I fractured my left fibula, have a high ankle sprain in my left ankle and both ankles have a grade 3 sprain. Not a minor sprains at all and require a lot more than ace bandages. The doctor put me in two boots for the next 4 weeks minimum and then will check to see if I need surgery. This was not a minor injury, but a major injury. I will never return to UMC ER their negligence and lack of caring is disgusting to say the least.

I have been going to the Unity Clinic on Highway 55 for several months. I followed Dr William Bush there when he moved from Dr Brandon's facility. Dr Bush is the best doctor in town. I have received medical treatment all over the world when I was in the service and "Doc Bush is the best one I have ever had. But I have been disappointed with the nursing staff and general administration process from my first appointment. I get my blood checked every 8 weeks and it's in my charts, yet the questions are the same... Why are you here and do you want to see a doctor? Dah, read the chart and yes I want to see my doctor! When I do get my blood work the med tech says they will call me with the results.... Never happens and I gave to drive over to the clinic to get the results. The lab tech can really draw blood fast and painlessly... They are good!

The only enjoyable part of the clinic visit is arranging for my next appountment. The lady is fast, efficient and friendly.

Now that Doc Bush is gone I will find another doctor/clinic. He was the reason I was going there. He will be missed. If this clinic doesn't become more professional and patient friendly it will be going out of business

I was denied healthcare I came for a simple checkup , been running a fever and feeling horrible. Unity is the closest hospital for 20 miles almost and they sent me away with no explanation. I wasn t even allowed past the front door. I tell them my primary care provider told me to come here ASAP due to the fact I have severe heart disease. The didn t ask for a name , nor my provider information. This is sick especially considering the state of our country . Nothing but respect for the nurses and MD and the DO here but this will not stand ; this hospital WILL HEAR FROM MY ATTORNEY AND THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES. And no I have no mode of transportation I walked 10 miles there at 6:00pm . Horrible establishment and I would not recommend you come here.

Coming from a man that hates going to the doctor and avoids at all costs, I have to say everyone was helpul and got me the care that I needed. I thought I was having a heart issue due to extreme pain in my chest and back. They did all the proper testing in a timely manner, gave me a numbing cocktail for the pain and within 30 minutes the pain subsided. Apparently my esophogus was inflammed enough to be radiating pain through my chest and back. There was some joking going on, but quite frankly, I didn't hear anything out of the norm like others have stated. These doctors and nurses work long hours and there needs to be a little fun in their day. Thank you all!

From bad to worse, as if the ER could get any wors...

From bad to worse, as if the ER could get any worse. Well I had a medically necessary breast reduction in February 2017 & had complications from the surgery & didn't feel like going to Mboro that night. So I went to Manchester hospital & was in SEVERE pain. I had a post surgical infection after being cut all the way across my chest. I was having chills down my arms, fever in the surgical area, yellow discharge & extreme pain. Well the so called female "doctor" refused to do anything about it. She also lacked proper hygiene. All I was asking for was antibiotics for the infection & something to get the pain under control. I was treated like some sort of drug addict. While I understand people abuse the system that doesn't need pain meds, there are instances in which it should be administered. She said I looked fine. I was crying and begging for relief! I never had been in so much pain with the exception of when I had my back surgery. I mentioned I've had 9 surgeries previously so I knew what to expect. I never had any post surgical complications however. I also stated to the 'doc', I had a Masters degree in health & all of my symptoms were pointing to an infection, which required antibiotics. Never in my life have I experienced such lack of knowledge from a professional. With the exception of back in 2005, when one of the ER nurses had told me I had miscarried when I was pregnant with my now 10 year old. Had I listened to their "expertise" & went on to have a D&C, my daughter wouldn't even be here today! Someone really needs to train these individuals before they represent this company they call a hospital. I honestly believe workers at the local city dump has more knowledge than these people we trust with our lives!

Really is a terrible hospital, might as well share...

Really is a terrible hospital, might as well share my story, about a year ago I was playing soccer with some friends, wasn't looking where I was running, lower leg hit a metal bar, so I had a gash and it was pretty deep, so I was bleeding alot and much pain, mom rushed me to this hospital, was told it wasn't going to take long before the doc would see me. HOUR and a half later, my leg was getting worse, honestly didn't the hell the staff were doing, mom asked why it was taking so long, (also there were other people who had also been waiting for some hours, they were pretty ticked also) so all the hospital gave me were some bandages to slow the bleeding while we waited. Others urged us to head over to tullahoma and that's what we did. Had to get it stitched and that's my experience :) wouldn't recommend this place
