One of the best Canada University. Good park and location.
Very terrific place to living there.
One of the best Canada University. Good park and location.
Very terrific place to living there.
Absolutely beautiful physical location, marred somewhat by the constant construction, and never plays itself in movies. The bureaucracy can become Kafkaesque. Tread lightly.
The West Mall has a wonderful history behind old growth trees.
Aside from being a great educational institution, it is a beautiful university and great spots for photography including some museums and gardens.
Beautiful campus. Stayed at the Gage Apartments: reasonably priced and very clean. Walked everywhere. The PointGrill Restaurant has excellent food and a very friendly wait staff.
I didn't study there yet. But I have read about the university so much, I think it's amazing place to live and study
Beautiful walkways, there are few old Fort style building, if you visiting the campus try Pizza
Boring, terrible professors, terrible atmosphere. Too bloody big to appreciate the environment. Learn more at SFU and with a better community, location, and teachers. Whatever you do, don't get caught up in the hype of "UBC 100" and all that. They just want your money.
Can somebody help me to see if they do police there, looking for a good UNI thats does, thanks. (only left a bad review so people would read it, i love this place though)
Awesome university and amazing people whom you will meet from all around the world and it's wonderful to live at Walter gage with shared apartments you will taste the cosmopolitan views.
I'd like to know a little bit more about prices of civil engineering classes, someone who got some experience at this area may help me, please?
Feels like the most inspiring university campus I ve ever been!! Wish I could take a course at the sustainable department at some point. Went for a seminar about sustainable fashion during the last sustainable fashion week and the organisation works great! Big highlight on the structure and architecture of the campus, great outdoor and clear signage. You can find a museum, art gallery, chinese garden and if you want to take a little walk in the forest you ll end up on a little beach on the ocean with a stunning view of the mountains! A dream!!
I've just been admitted to this fabulous university and look forward to starting my studies.
You can learn Chinese as you're walking to your classes.
A fantastic university in a dazzling natural setting. Campus amenities and features are many, the academics are top notch, and the experience is incredibly unique. The campus is only marred by the expensive condo developments that encroach upon it.
I was there in 1999 for SUPERCON, the national convention for Student Governments from college/university campuses all across Canada...what an amazing time! The last day there our entire team (The Sheridan College SU) opted to check out Wreck Beach (nude)...what an experience! We also went on a dinner cruise around Vancouver Island around sunset...what a spectacular evening!
Beautiful campus. However over time much of the green space has been built on.
The loveliest campus! Beautiful landscape and nice buildings. Views to the Pacific Ocean and close to the Pacific Spirit Park. A little piece of heaven on Musqueam land that we are grateful for.
The off campus housing is pretty decent. Vancity is quite invaluable as a study companion.
The University of British Columbia is a Canadian public research university and is the oldest higher education institution in the District of British Columbia with more than 58,000 students enrolled in it. The University was founded in Vancouver in 1908 as the McGill University College in British Columbia Then, it became an independent university in the name of British Columbia in 1915.
don't kid yourself, the bad reviews are from sfu students who didn't attend this school. This is the place to go.
It's a beautiful university - especially the Northern end of main mall around the gardens and the flagpole. Beaches are a bonus, but are clothing-optional, even in winter
Great university with huge campus and a lot of facilities. The new library is awesome in both the look and functionality.
As a graduate student from here, I really wish technology wise Canadian school would be more updated to catch up with current industry.
Awesome place to walk around. Nice museums, nice buildings, nice atmosphere. The library is espectacular.
A truly gorgeous campus. Only walked around but would recommend if you are nearby to explore the campus. Lots of pretty buildings, fountains, and sculptures. One of the nicest campuses I've seen. Don't know much about the programs but would be open to take a tour to see even more of what they have here.
Worst admission staff. I had an academic standing of 90%+ average in high school, had an award for volunteering hours and participation in clubs. Wrote my admission essay well in depth. And still they didn't accept me because I had taken an extra pre cal 12 course in another country. They just used it as an excuse to not accept me. I get a feeling that the person taking that decision was racist. I wouldn't even give one star.
The University of British Columbia is a beautiful campus, and an excellent place to study with other inspiring & bright students. I have learned a lot during my undergraduate studies here, and am so grateful for that.
All good except for the customer service at the book store
My best years was in this place. I'm glad that I had study in The University of British Columbia. Only best memories.
Had a great memories over that place. Was the most colorful year.
Lots of food outlets, some great places to sit, a fantastic library and it s a great campus to walk around. The little Earth Science museum is free. Not to mention the fact you can get a decent education here too.
Seems like people who are giving 1 star rating here are completely losers and bad students
Worst university on planet. Wife got accepted here and I came with full scholarship to do my studies and they didn't accept me. Even though, I pointed out to them that my wife was already accepted (she was also fully funded) and I don't need any funds from them. Just admission. I was going to be a free researcher for them but they still said hell no. I had a US-based degree and a very high GPA. Till date, I still don't understand why! But I wish this message reaches to some boss in school to see how corrupt the system is.
I am in grade 10 and looking for a film school anyone would like to he;lp me that would be good
While living in Seattle, trips to Vancouver happened almost every time we had a three-day weekend. After falling in love with Vancouver, I checked into transferring from University of Washington to The University of British Columbia. Unfortunately, the out-of-state tuition costs were too high. Nice idea while it lasted though.
Does anyone actually use Google reviews to choose where to go to university? Strange...
Best campus ever. University of Billion Constructions !
One of the most beautiful campus I ve ever visited. The environment is very good. Awesome beaches around the university. Very cool place for study. Just love it.
Excellent school and great place for a walk including excellent professors too.
Very beautiful grounds with amazing museums, gorgeous botanical garden and lots to see. The views to the sea and mountains is also amazingly beautiful.
certainly not worth the tuition fees they make you pay here (the non opt outs), the extra non course costs total into costing more than the actual course you are paying for, they keep building new facilities but they are all for recreation...when they should be focusing on educational buildings...
UBC Botanical garden is now open. Walk among tall trees and beautiful plants.
The campus, students, and professors are spectacular. The adminstration, on the other hand, has its share of imperfections.
An absolutely beautiful campus that has been given a very recent facelift to many of its buildings and nearby residences
The most beautiful school campus in BC! I spent 4 years getting my undergrad here and they were made pleasant by the gorgeous museums and gardens, modern vs old architecture and the natural scenery surrounding each academic building. Students receive free admission to all these wonderful places on campus and there are so many things to explore!
Beautiful campus at the edge of a beautiful city! Nice place to walk around, especially the Japanese gardens, botanical gardens and Wreck beach (if old and unattractive naked people are ok with you). Excellent school as well!
I'm proud of UBC. My two daughters graduated and working at Lions Gate & St. Paul's.

Believe me !!
it's campus specially Vancouver's campus is just like heaven I actually experienced the most beautiful university in the world.... I can't believe it
the most eye catching spot on Vancouver campus is Rose garden even you can spent your whole one day by staring at Hills and Beach from rose garden...
another whelming spot's on Vancouver's campus is Japanese garden, Museum of anthropology and more..... As I said it on top of my review that it is the most beautiful campus in Canada you can imagine how it feels to live and study in UBC.
What a beautiful University and the people are nice.
UBC is a place to be,an amazing and outstanding university.
It is one of the top universities in Canada. Lots of opportunities in academics, applied studies and research.
