Wonderful experience going to visit this place. Land of the free and the brave.
Thank you Congressman Ami Bera's office our tour today with Trinity was beyond blessing. I got to meet Vice President Mike Pence today. When I told him I am a Gold Star Mother he gave me a warm embrace.
Had private tour. Recommend the private tour. See more and learn more.
Great view from across the street. Lawn right up to the steps. No boundaries like at the White House. Great to see during sunset. Short walk from the museum's in the National Mall.
I usually don't like school trips, but when I came here I had to make an exception. My classmates and I went to the House of Representatives to visit the House of Lords and the House of Commons. It was beautiful! However, it is beyond imagination to sit in an extremely comfortable chair, and I would very much like to visit it again.
Drove through and I remember seeing the Capital back in 2008 with the tour bus. Since we where on the second floor with the open roof we got acorns all over us and squirrels went fell inside of the bus , but managed to get out. Poor little squirrels that panicked...
Every American citizen needs to visit here at least once...
Very very interesting, but just several halls, and the rest can not be seen
One of the great architecture inside the Capitol .. what a nice visit and a must once visiting the DC
It's so awesome and 100% America
Which is even awesomer!
The amazing building, very nice, amazingly beautiful, makes me want to go back here
I have to go to Washington to visit, and some will guide the commentary.
This place offers a fantastic tour of one of our country's most iconic buildings. They provide an informational film that covers the history of the of the building before you take a walking tour of the building. Starting with the rotunda under the dome. They have a series of paintings and murals associated with the history of the United States. You then travel to "Whisper Room" where acoustics allow an individual to here talk across the room with clarity. The last place you get to visit is the crypt where you can see a marker representing the true center of Washington DC. Overall this is a interesting fact-filled trip that I recommend for all visitors to Washington.
Great place. Dominant presence. It was nice to hear about the locations and elevation of the main buildings in DC. So symbolic.
Beautiful architecture from the outside. Recommended to book in advance for a tour. The park outside is a beautiful place to relax after a long day of touring, including some cherry blossom trees.
The Capitol building in Capitol Hills can easily be seen from the National Mall area. On a clear day it is truly a great sight.
The tour guide was bodacious and friendly however the tour was rather skimpy, weak, and uneventful. We bour witness to the glorious Capitol dome and literally nothing else except a rather unmemorable film.
Beautiful and Fabulous art work you can see inside and outside of building. There's a free tour every day inside the building.
A building that symbolises great architecture, tremendous history. Must visit.
When you go to see Big Ben, you will see the entire parliament building! It is recommended to look at the evening, the whole time is quite different from the daytime.
You can make an appointment or not, and the appointment time is more secure. If you don't make an appointment, you will arrange it after you have arranged the appointment. We have no appointment, but the waiting time is not too long. The overall situation is still worth seeing. The attendee will also remind you that you can go directly to the Library of Congress from the underground passage, no need for a second security check, very intimate. By the way, it takes at least three days in advance to make an appointment.
Dome ultra known that we had the opportunity to see many times in movies and television series.
I did not go in but already very impressive outside.
Hello, I am in Virginia Washington, and believe me that it is my favorite city .... my children of format. There and every trip I find it more attractive ....
The capitol, the statue of Jefferson and the one of Lincol put you goosebumps, going to eat in Lebanese is the best house in Eastern Virginia in all of Virginia ... if you are thinking, do not hesitate and get away, they will not
Regret
In this place great decisions are made. By the time he visited the dome was under repair, but the structure is still impressive and with great architectural beauty.
Great pictures when the sun is out. It's like it shines... Right now they do have some construction going on through with scaffolding on the right side.
An amazing place to experience American History! Ask your Rep for a private tour, and you can take the time needed to soak it all in. Such a place of honor, we saw the old Senate Chamber and the old Supreme Court Chamber.
Beautiful structure. Inside the dome is really cool and it is awesome thinking about what goes on inside.
Beautiful place. Our tour guide was very interesting and knowledgeable on the history of the capital.
Sushi was great, really liked the salmon nigiri! Had to pay extra for some more soy sauce however. Decent experience all-in-all, would suggest to choose the all you can eat option on workdays for 18.99!
United States capitol building is one of the most high security locations. Security starts a couple blocks away and you will not be able to park or bring your car into any of the parking facilities nearby. Plan on parking at least a half-mile away if you're going to try to go there.
It was a great tour and handicapp friendly, thumbs up
The United States Capitol in Washington DC has a guided tour to check the hours on the website. The complex is huge. Photography enthusiasts in the opposite area have a higher fence than a person, so there is a problem with photography, or insert the lens between the pillars of the fence. To take photos both in the front from the Mule area and from the back, the Supreme Court area. It is also recommended to arrive at night and take night photographs, not to forget to bring a tripod and invader. At night the building is perfectly lit and to arrive in the past hours and take photos. No problem getting in the back and standing a tripod and taking photos. The building itself is very impressive and large. Built on a hill.
The building looks good from the outside and the inside was very lavishly decorated. The interior view of the dome was grand, there are detailed engraving amd painting wrapping around it, there is also a ceiling painting in the center below the done. The state of Freedom was huge!
We were taken to an auditorium and a video prevention was shown at the start of the tour. Afterward, Our tour guide Andrew showed us the various chambers such as the original meeting room for the supreme court, the chamber where members of house of representatives and Senates debated - which has now became the room of statutes, and another room with various famous painting where ceremony takes place.
After the tour, we got tickets to see the representative and Senates sessions. There is another security and the actual session wasn't very interesting.
There is also a gift shop and we bought some items to decorate around the house.
It is an exciting experience to visit this huge palace that stands on the hill overlooking the Mall and all of Washington. It is the concentrate of American pride and the celebration of their independence, their freedom, the heroes and the exploits that have made this country so big and powerful. The dome for grandeur and beauty has nothing to envy to that of St. Peter in Rome. In the evening when it is lit up, the Capitol is one of the most striking views of this city.
It is an unforgettable experience and its architecture is very cool and its history is very important.
Loved it. Great for kids. Several busts of famous Americans as well as a few non-Americans too. Guides are
The other part of the results is the great challenge and the following matches
beautiful architectural work, symbol of freedom and American power
This is a must visit in Washington D.C. The capital building is absolutely gorgeous. In the spring time there are many flowers and trees surrounding it to make it even better. The fountain in the front is very unique and perfect for pictures with the building. They have gates up with guards so you can't get really close. I think they do tours but you would have to research that on the website.
And just one more place where we have the feeling of power the power of America
Only problem is the dome, reminds me of Domo Island Tycoon, don t like
I had the chance to visit and attend a Senate sitting!
This building should be a must visit for architecture students.
beautiful place to be. hope gonna take pictures of this. :)
The capitol building is beautiful and the interior is equal. The tour was a wash. It was one section of the capitol building and you have old headphones and a radio receiver. No parking around... I parking at the national mall and walking to the capitol.
Building of the camera of the American Senators. If you want to visit it, you must request permission through its website. The days of the Chamber of Representatives visit is only Monday through Friday. On weekends you can enter and visit the other facilities such as the library. The interior of the dome is very nice as well as the rest of the rooms all marble. The landscaped building exteriors are very beautiful.
It's good but need reservation for the tour ahead of time, and no water allowed inside, so have to throw your drink away before enter.
When talking about the American President, remember that architecture, the "United States Capitol".
God bless you America you have gave me a heart and you made me survive
Reading your banter is like watching Congress but, you're getting more done.
Awe inspiring important landmark of United States!!
Tours are well organized and informative, just make sure you get (free) passes in advance or go during an off season.
Very good architecture, imposing building. From google maps you can see a little near the white house, but it is quite the walk. It is good to wear comfortable tennis shoes and water.
People here were professional and friendly, and it was a good and quick experience. Although the actual building itself was closed for some long-running renovations, we were able to see the museum and visitor center below the building. Our tour guide, who we were able to choose and chose at random, was the best part. The guy's name was Mr. Blair, and he was fluent in 7 languages and could greet visitors in 61 more. He was an old guy but super fun to tour the building with - he had a true knowledge of what he was talking about. I would recommend getting in his group if possible!
My first time taking the tour. Our Representative arranged a VIP tour. It was very small and personal. There s no cost, but if your going to take a tour book it in advance. It takes about 3 hours or so. It was worth the time.
