The tour was great. The tour guide was excellent. The entire tour could be more in depth

Just don t leave the tour early if you book a timed reservation. The tour guide asked the entire group of others to clap for me when I had to leave the tour early. SUPER EMBARRASSING and not Necessary to make light of someone having an issue to which they couldn t continue on.

this is where people who have to have an easy job with no thinking required have to work.

Imposing and really beautiful, shame about the restoration

Erin from Senator Mike Lee's (UT) office led a top notch tour through the Capitol today. This place is always very inspiring to me! The family had a great experience and appreciate all who helped make it great.

Impressive, but no matter what year I go there's always a part under construction

Definitely worth taking the tour. It is a beautiful building. However now you need to go to your location congressional representative to get a reserved tour. In the past, you just show up and wait for the next tour. At least this way you don't have to wait for the tour at the US Capital. We also received tickets for the House Gallery tour. This is the balcony overseeing where the House of Representatives vote and where the Presidential State of the Union is held.

Very impressive and there are free guided tours of the building.

Iconic building. Magnificient architecture. Pleasure to visit.

The Washington DC Capitol is an amazing building, the most interesting after the Washington Monument.

Unfortunately I could not enter but at least from the outside it is very beautiful, a beautiful building and with a lot of meaning. The ideal is to walk from the lincoln monument to here and if it is very tired but worth it.

It'was fine. Learned a lot about the US Government in one day (2011). Wasn't my favorite DC experience, but I'm thankful for it. I'm pretty sure that when I was in the Capitol, I passed a couple of Senators, lol. Hella crowded during the Spring and Summer though.

Impressive building and worth checking out when visiting the city

Awesome experience! Got the chance to talk to a few elected officials. Plus the cafeteria has a wide variety of foods to choose from that are very good.

A very pretty building, a pity that it is under construction

It was first time to visit here and its is beautiful place. Well maintained and good for educational tours. The staff are polite and friendly. Gets crowded so come early. The souvenier shop has a lot of stuff. We went there during the cherry blossom festival. Tons of people around. But it is worth the drive. A must visit place.

The Capitol tour is excellent. Budget at least 3 hours for the tour and to see the House and Senate galleries.

Always dreamt to watch the president giving his speech from the capitol

After seeing it in the movies, being there in person was so much fulfilling.

Would like to visit here so much, waiting for an opportunity before Washington DC

Fantastic experience! Met with our State Representative and had a full tour of the House. Great tour guide information and would recommend this to anyone.

Wonderful experience. Walk and sit in the most historical place on earth.

Very nice building. It is possible to visit the Senate Chamber and the House of Representatives.

Great tour. It's an amazing building. Congress was out of session while we were there. There are still lots of people in the building though.

Once (or more) in a lifetime experience to see this remarkable piece of history in all its splendour. The line ups and security checks are well worth the hassle. I m glad they do it this way for everyone s sake. Take the maximum amount of time you re permitted.

The architecture and size really make this a must see attraction in Washington. It is a great location to take photos of the actual building but also looking down to the Washington Monument. As many attractions in Washington it tends to be a lot busier on weekends, so if you have smaller children it may be best to visit on week day.

Beautiful sight, but seems like it's been under renovation for a while now. Either way, it's very humbling to experience the US Capitol Building in person.

Spectacular !! Definitely worth the guided tour !! Lots of history, art, culture and beauty in the same place !! The center of American politics !!

Great experience! Visitors center is 'separate' from the actual building but easy to find with signage.

In Fallout 3 terms this place is heavily infested with super mutants and Talon Company idiots. Unless you have a higher level, I don't advise going here.

Such an amazing building. This represents the free world under the democratic regime. It is a Great place to visit especially with your kids. You may be in for a treat to meet the many lawmakers of America . There is no question about this grand building - it represents the United States well !

Nice place to visit. You can take a lot of good/cool pictures. Good opportunity to discuss some facts and history with your family (specially with your kids)..Super Labor Day weekend concert by the National Symphony Orchestra on the west lawn of the Capitol. Good security work by the Police and the Park Service to keep the concert safe for everyone.

Capitol place is best place to visit in Washington DC
Tips : don't waste your time in taking pictures outside... Inside there are lots of thing to do...

Stupid from the inside, and I haven't heard it right

While I don't always like or agree with the policies that come out of this building, it is magical and impressive. What a piece of art. The history is just amazing. Being able to stand there was such an honor and really makes me proud to be an American. I cannot wait to visit again some day with my family.
