Fantastic flowers, helpful staff, and a great layout. Also, a nice break from the heat.

This place is amazing. The plants are vibrant and colorful.

Not as big or extensive as I had hoped, but still really cool to see different biomes and the plants in them. I particularly enjoyed the Mediterranean room with all the herbs.

Seasons Greenings is a magical holiday experience for the whole family with miniature buildings, beautiful seasonal decorations and model trains.

This is the garden for people without a green thumb. Some of the most interesting plants I have ever seen. A must see for anyone, even if you think you'll be bored. Trust me, it's not just for girls.

Another national treasure. Lime trees and Cacao trees along with a trip through the tropics (climate controlled). How do they keep all of their plants looking so good? Friendly staff if you have questions. Easy place to visit right by the Capitol on the Mall

Great resprite from touring stuffy museums. Enjoy plants from around the world, hike into the top of canopy, stroll through plants from places you're never been. A taste of Hawaii too

Hidden gem and it's been totally renovated recently. Love spending time here in spring and summer!

The gardens are amazing and beautiful, all the trains were so much fun, and the monuments made of nature were awesome.

A must see museum. The holiday displays were enjoyable. I particularly liked the orchards.

There is no assortment of plants ... many flies ... lack of cleaning

The United States Botanical garden offers scenic views, diverse foliage, and a chance to decompress and enjoy all the plant life.

It was absolutely amazing! I grew up in Jamaica and it was so wonderful to see some plants from my childhood. Gorgeous!

We went to visit the holiday exhibit. It was beautiful. Worth the trip. Also there's a huge maze on the grounds that all kids of all ages will enjoy.

Whether you want a brief break for lunch or to get a chance to see some exotic plants - this is an excellent venue. Although not as big as the likes of Kew Gardens, there is a stunning array of climates and specimens that will support many return trips.

Such a variety of horticultural research. Beautiful rain forest exotics, amazing amounts to desert plants and MANY MANY in between. The first place I've ever saw a Chocolate Tree in person. Alot of fly traps species. Defineantly worth the walking through !! And of course it's FREE!

I love this place, it's pure magic. Make sure you wear bug spray if you plan to spend a significant amount of time in the tropical section, there are mosquitoes.

Also across the street from the garden heading south is an outdoor learning garden. During the summer it had cotton, mustard greens, asparagus and more. Just don't go over with the intention of picking what you find.

This place is always an interesting stop on a DC tour and a relaxing place to regroup. The special exhibits, such as the orchid show or the corpse flower, are always exciting. The orchids were especially fantastic this year!

Great place to take the family! Everyone will enjoy the amazing plants the garden has. Not only do they have plants but they have different themes depending on the time of year! Fun and appealing sites are to be had here so dont underestimate the fact that it's a garden. This place is huge and just like any place in the area it requires you to walk so wear good walking shoes.

The gardens and conservatory are great, but I took off a star because it gets very crowded. On Christmas day, it was open with lines to get in. During the summer, the roses smell great and the park across the street, Bertholi Park, has a very cool fountain.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. I was a bit surprised to find it is free of charge and everyone can visit as long as he/she wants to.

The gardens are beautiful. If you love plants, it's a must see.

While you're there you are treated to pure beauty and the wonders of the natural (flora) world. Pleasant and relaxing settings.

This place will always be special to me! Me, my Soulbie and God son visit here together and always have a great time! I love seeing all the various types of plants and flowers that they house. I've been able to see a lot of plants that I actually eat in their natural state, which is very cool to me! They have a space with tropical plants that actually feels like you're in humid forest! It's a must see for nature lovers and explorers.

Some of the plant rooms smell pretty good. This place shows a lot of plants from around the world.

I loved the food tree area. The cacao tree exhibit was especially interesting.

Admission is free as everywhere in Washington. Beautiful plants can be admired here and the park outside is well maintained. You can enjoy a few moments of rest. Worthwhile visit.

Cool place with unique plants and displays. Being from Florida the largest room was the tropical plants...so it was bit "normal".

But I could see how this would be a very awesome place. It is a bit smaller then I expected as we planned on a few hours here, but were done in just over one hour.

The landscaping inside the building is very pleasant. There's a wait for the Woman's bathrooms.

A top five place to visit in DC. Not too crowded in my experience.

Been waiting to visit the gardens for a long time and it didn't disappoint! The different environments were a treat to my senses, so many little nooks and crannies to explore both inside and outside. I visited on a hot day and wish I had been better prepared. Bring water and comfortable walking shoes, and don't be afraid of the overhead misters

It truly is an amazing place to understand the environmental conditions in which certain plants live in. You have the opportunity to experience different biomes and witness plants thriving in such conditions. In addition to the experience, you are able to view plants from all over the world. For example: China, Mexico, Central America, and many other places. It is family-friendly and all ages will be able to enjoy it.
