United States Botanic Garden Review

It was almost unable to ask for more from this beautiful and fantastic botanical garden, especially when considering the free entrance. It is another must-go spot in D.C. that no one could resist. There were so many kinds of plants from all over the world in various sections, from Desert, Tropical, to Rare & Endanger, to name a few. I even found a cocoa tree or two. Also, it has a model version of the National Mall in it. Small but detailed. This place is also an excellent educative spot that children could study about biology and natural environment. Because of free entrance for everyone, it was pretty crowded all the time. It is entirely worth a visit in few hours to discover and learn for.

Gorgeous plants from around the country and the world!

This was one of the biggest surprises of our trip. This place is amazing and should not be overlooked. I picked this place to start our day on a whim and it was one of my favorites places that we saw.

I've been to a number state botanical gardens with better indoor exhibits. The national is definitely more comprehensive and with more species, but it wasn't as attractive a sight.

This place is beautiful. Don't miss it, you'll love it!

Amazing place. Lots of beautiful flowers, plants and trees. It is worth spending aa half day there. I did not get a chance to see the outside garden. Due to being closed for the season.

Amazing plants, beautiful to sit and listen. They even have a children's exhibit.

Free to get in. Right along the national mall and beside the capitol hill. Not a very big place but nice place to see different plants from arpund the world.

My family has come here for Christmas for the past two years, and I'd readily go back! Very well kept, clean and beautiful. Fascinating variety of plants and exhibits.

This space and preservation of natural beauty is a lifetime experience everyone should have, young or old. It just so happened during my birthday week visit the main attraction was the celebration of Orchids which is my favorite flower. It was breathtaking. Staff was so friendly and down to earth. The place was emaculatly kept and out of the world.

I've been to almost every Smithsonian Museum and I've never been to The Botanical Gardens! It was an amazing adventure into the plant world and recommend it highly!

This is a fantastic garden, it's like an indoor jungle! I've been able to identify so many plants I've seen in my life thanks to their plant plaques.

The plants are beautiful, interesting and full of color and vibrancy. Loved this place a lot, would definitely recommend visiting for all nature lovers out there! Must see in DC and a nice place for locals to unwind in.

I'm suprised how much I loved this place, it was just so cool to walk from one climate to another.

I especially enjoyed part of the tour conducted by a volunteer, explaining history and this of medicinal plants!

Always a world away from a world. A must see again and again. I am just astounded by how beautiful the plants are with many in bloom or fruiting.

A variety of meticulously selected plants and flowers with different sections like tropics, rainforest, central US and plants from all over the world. A free pass is a must visit for someone who visits Capitol.

This is a nice place to see some different plant species. However, accessibility routes are limited for disabled people and for baby strollers. The elevator was out of order, which meant for no upper deck access for the same group of people. All in all, I have seen much better.

I. Love. This. Place.

I went three different times this past summer and it never gets old. There s always something new in bloom that wasn t before and the outdoor area and yoga is so cool.

Relaxing space adults and kids love. Unique and diverse exhibits. The catwalk is an exciting part, and they are always having concerts, trains, corpse flowers and other amazing exhibits!

Stunning! I was blown away, even though we went in the winter and could only see much inside. Temporary orchid showcase was absolutely breath taking. Worth the trip, even if you've been before.

It was a great learning experience with me and my family. It is also great for all ages. I honestly loved the part where you can buy fruit that they had grown at the botanical Gardens it was epic! It also had different type of plants not only did they have North Carolina plants, they also had plants from all around the United States. My grandparents love the medical section of the botanical Garden.

Excellent Oasis from the hussle and bustle of the city. Very serien and calm. Great diversity in plant selection. One of few sights in Washington that you don't have to go through airport style security checks.

I did not get to enjoy the special invitation to the production arboretum because they didn't have the correct address on my printout, which was a loss of $20. Take it as a donation.

Gorgeous gardens. There's a rose garden in the middle and don't forget the greenhouse in the back. Many types of rare plants and trees. Several different biospheres in the greenhouse from desert to damp and humid rainforest. There's even a deadly plant section!

Incredible selection of well-labeled and kept plants both inside and out. Good stop when you're near the National Mall.

This place is beautiful, especially at Christmas time. The trains, trees and music was so well planned and put together. It was a very enchanting evening. Great place for families. Will go again!!

This place has incredibly plants from tropical where i grew up. I just visited the whole place by just stepped in.

It was a lovely place to visit and see all the plants and flowers, would really recommend coming during the spring or summer as some areas are closed during the winter.

I recommend everyone to visit this garden. You will learn a lot about the importance of plants in our world, in our life. See a collection of about 65,000 plants. Going into the observatory, you will get acquainted with the diversity of plants from the tropical jungle to the desert. Discover the flora of the Hawaiian volcanic islands, plants of the Jurassic period, see how the adaptation of plants is carried out. I was impressed by the area with orchids, medicinal plants.

Fantastic. Go early on a rainy Monday and you won't fight any crowds.
