United States Botanic Garden Review

Amazing experience and it s free! My favorite was the orchid room and the ponds with the lily pads. You can take tours or do an audio tour on your own. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I throughly enjoyed my time here.

Very nice place to view some very interesting plant species in an attractive environment. Close to the US Capital it's a nice place to have a little break while touring DC.

I really enjoyed the tropical plants including the different kinds of orchids.

A warm retreat from the cold winter winds! Plus full of beautiful art work, wonderful flowers, and interesting design that invites you to explore and experience different parts of the world (desert, tropical, spices, etc.)

Easily the coolest place I have been in DC. There are a ton of different plants from all around the world. Definitely worth a visit.

This is my favorite place to visit on the National Mall. It has a whole room devoted to rare and exotic plants and an orchid room.

Very cool place to see, especially in the winter when you can escape the cold and see the greenhouse without too many people.

It was beautiful. They even have a free Walk thru that you can use with your phone.

It was beautiful, I think it would have been better if the kid area was covered and i was hoping for a butterfly house but otherwise pretty and a nice experience.

The gardens itself are beautiful and to see this place is amazing. I was there for a private event and the staff from the botaic gardens were very unprofession and unwelcoming.

So much to look at, more than I expected and they're are different "rooms" so the range of Flora is spectacular. I'd say an hour to see it all at a reasonable pace.

Wow, I didn't know this place existed. There's so many awesome plants, and they're all labeled! Definitely take the time to go see.

Absolutely fantastic. Free, and right next to the capital. Highly recommend taking 40 minutes to enjoy this outstanding garden.

A well kept garden out in the open air and in a building...very relaxing.

It's cool. If you are a garden lover, you will enjoy it. Your non garden loving family will probably be better served enjoying another museum while you are there.

A beautiful place with every plant you could imagine! The tree top walk area is very cool too. One of my favorite places in DC. It s free to the public and fairly stroller and kid friendly. Just a short walk from the Capitol and is nice in the summer because of the ac.

Great use of space to present an interesting variety of flora. Kid-friendly. Christmas time lights and model train room are especially well done.

Beautiful plants, flowers, orchids and seasonal displays. Even in winter there is much to see. One of the few places open on Christmas day in DC.

It was orchid season when I visited. The green house was full of green plants and orchids.

Beautiful Botanic gardens! Went on a wonderfully sunny day and it was busy but still super nice.

Fantastic collections of plants around different climates stored. Fun to visit. Feels like in small Jurassic Park.

Every time I'm anywhere, I go to the botanic gardens. And this one, while very small, is one of the best. They constantly change the display of flowers in the front room, and three small presentations of various habitats are very well done.

I'm not in the slightest way knowledgeable about plants. That said this place serves food and was a nice place to walk around for about 30 minutes.

I had been to DC a number of times, but somehow never made it here before. Even for someone not super info plants, it was a great experience. Learned a lot about plants that I did not know, particularly the medicinal uses. I love seeing the orchids, cacao tree, and other unique plants from around the world. I dare anyone visiting to smell the Corpse Flower...

Cool experience. Best to go in off days. Non-weekend

Very calming. It makes you forget the death cold weather outside. I just wish they would finally fix the elevator so the elderly and disabled can access the second level.

The United States Botanic Garden Conservatory is beautiful place to visit. Free parking and no charge to spend the day marveling at the most gorgeous flowers and plants. There was even a children's garden where kids can be kids. This was my first visit and I definitely want to go again.

Large variety of interesting Flora and fauna. Smaller compared to New York or Longwood Gardens, but a nice way to spend a pleasant afternoon with the children or grandchildren

Wonderful garden to walk through. For those with kids, the kids backpack scavenger is great.

What a beautiful place to go and walk around on a Saturday afternoon. The conservatory has so many fascinating plants and it smells so good inside. Be sure to go up the stairs in the tropical section so you can view it from the top! Will definitely be going back here in the future!

Spring and summertime seems like the perfect time to walk to this garden. Was not super crowded but everything was in full bloom.

Sorry guys but Belle isle arbitrarium is 100x better. Still it was an enjoyable experience. Lockers would have been great as would botanists, horticulturalists available for questions. Better lables in the correct places and some better see if space.
