Gorgeous building, though the ban on booze in the auditorium isn't ideal for all gigs.

Great venue, good food but remember to bring a cushion as the chapel pew's are a little hard after an hour
Amazing atmosphere for conserts. A beautiful chapel, with a bar:) Easy to find from the tube station. Does great work for those less fortunate.
Beautiful church, holds annual christmas carol concert
Fantastic venue. Went here to see Josh Ritter and the atmosphere was amazing!!
Amazing venue! Super wholesome and great acoustics! Would highly recommend.
I've lived in the area for about 20 years and walked pass the union chapel quite often, not realising it was being utilising the building by putting on function for the community. I was there last night with a group of friends watching a band performing, it was a tribute to Curtis
Mayfield. Inside there were seats, a bar, and you could order food as well. I was in orr of the beauty of the inside of the chapel. It was a very good night, mingling with old and new friends.
If you are looking for a unique and unusual venue in London, this is it. A phenomenal and absolutely beautiful building offering variety of concerts.
This is my favourite music venue in London.
The sound is absolutely amazing and the views are even better. I went to see an acoustic show and the setting just made what was already a very special gig even better.
Oh. And they sell ice cream. It is amazing. I wish more bands would play here.
Lovely venue but quite chilly inside in January. Saw Wanda Sykes and she was hilarious
Visited this stunning chapel for a performance of Romeo and Juliet (Backstage Cinema). I m a sucker for gorgeous architect and externally this is a stunning building! We were blown away when we went in, what a stunning place!
Beautiful chapel
Wonderful concert
Great Venue. Backyard Cinema is a Fantastic Experience, but you can't bring drinks from the Bar into The Chapel and closes at 10:30
But the Bar Service was very good.
Beautiful venue, amazing acoustics and wonderfully maintained. If you can hear a concert here jump at the chance
Letters Live at Union Chapel is one of the best nights of our year!
Great music venue. Large church (which still also acts as a local community centre). Good seating (on wooden pews) gets you very close to the action for acoustic and smaller band sets. Sound quality marvellous owing to Gothic brickwork. Tea & snacks served in church. Nice bar and hot food served upstairs away from main auditorium. Rather scruffy public toilets.
Quite special as a venue, if you consider I saw The Residents here.
Great music venue, try their bar and restaurant too!!
One of the best venues in London, I think. It obviously requires a certain sort of music, but if that's on then it's well worth a go. Tends to be decently priced, lots of space, and a great atmosphere. And you sit in pews and can order tea.
Lovely building but a bit tired. Canteen food at restaurant prices.
There for Saturday's music. Great architecture. Fabulous acoustics. Eclectic music put on by Daylight Music.
Excellent music venue with magical interior and acoustics. Lots of good eating options nearby.
Great venue for a concert though pews are hard for 2 hours.
First timer - went to see Ed Byrne. Fantastic evening. Great line up that night. Full house, great atmosphere, fair views from all round and easy access to the loos and shop. Of course, it s a stage inside a church that charges money... take that Christendom. If you can get past the uncomfortableness of the sacrilegious and impiety of it all, you ll have a blast!
I could describe this as London's best venue, but Brixton is superb for noisy rock bands while this is the perfect venue for the more relaxed acoustic set. Fantastic setting, great sound and views. They even make a mean cup of joe. I've been lucky enough to see I Am Kloot, Suzanne Vega, Ed Harcourt and just came back from my now annual night out to see Mark Kozelek. Please don't build residential blocks around this place, preventing this venue from showcasing these artists would be tragic.
Fantastic venue for live music. Seats are unallocated so get there early if you want to be near the front. Views are pretty good from everywhere though.
Stunning venue, however lots of unecessary visual clutter as a photographer...I'll post up photos once I've edited out all the signage and other unecessary clutter out of the photographs !
Went for an event. Really enjoyed it. But freezing cold inside
Been going to concerts there for years. Intimate, lovely acoustics. A nice place.
Probably one of my favourite music venues in London.
Don't miss out on the daylight music on Saturdays. Great discoveries there !
Fabulous venue ! Take a cushion or spare jumper to sit on as pews are unrelenting ! Great bar and interesting venue !
One of my favourite places in London. Beautiful, gorgeous setting for any gig, especially Ludovico Einaudi's beautiful set.
Great venue only spoilt by a strange culture of the visitors.
Coats are left on pews to reserve seats while whole groups leave to return later. Some chumps even bring crochet cushions in special hessian tote bags to place on pews then leave. This in any other venue would not be tolerated but for some reason this confusing and often upsetting system prevails. Very odd indeed.
Beautiful space, great food the only downside are the pews are uncomfortable if sitting for long periods.
Incredible venue for live music. For concerts, acoustics are fantastic wherever you're seated, and unless you sit right behind a pillar the views are all interesting due to the setting itself.
A beautiful venue with amazing acoustics, although they could do with some cushions on the pews to make it a little more comfortable.
A fantastic venue for any sit down concert. Great bar, and inspirational architecture whether you have come to worship or to listen! The pews are hard, but that makes you concentrate a bit more!
Such a good venue for live podcast, concerts and other kind of such performances! The ambience is extraordinary, the sound impeccable and there's plenty of facilities (toilets, bar, hit drinks in proper mugs!! snacks...). It can be a bit chilly in winter, so make sure you're dressed for the weather. And enjoy!!
Super cool and intimate venue for comedy, poetry and music. The building is stunningly pretty, and it's great to be seated so close to the acts. They have a small bar and a tuck shop, but queues get v long so I recommend bringing a bottle of water!
Great venue.
I attended a secret cinema here and couldn t fault it.
Outstanding venue for all kinds of live music. Try and get there early to secure a prime spot. Leave your coat or jackets in situ and head for the bar
Went here to see a gig. It is the most incredible building, and makes for such an amazing intimate venue. I love the innovation and multi functionality of this building. Beautiful.
Great and friendly staff, every time I m been here it is always a fantastic event!! Quality venue with top service.
Incredible venue.
Great acoustics and an amazing atmosphere. There is also a bar, cafe and restaurant.
The staff are also very friendly. I'm looking forward to seeing other gigs there.
Great venue for gigs. Make sure you pick up a cushion
Excellent venue for gig!! Tea & Tunnocks teacakes in the main chapel, with good bar upstairs including cafe for homemade food.
Great venue even though you can't take alcohol in as per venue rules
Absolutely incredible venue for acoustic gigs. Totally haunting and so intimate that you have to make sure your phone is on silent or risk being glared at by everyone else in attendance. I try to get back a much as possible as it remains my favourite venue in the city by a long way.
