Incredible seeing Amanda Palmer here, such a beautiful venue

Fantastic place acoustics are awesome think it's the only gig I've been to where you can get tea and coffee highly recommended

One of the best live music venue's in London for an atmospheric gig for music that suits lots of natural hall reverb

Agree to great acoustics, intimate atmosphere, excellent bar and food. Brilliant.

This is one of the most fantastic music venues in London. The church has amazing acoustics, and they often have really top performers.

Great ambience. Good acoustis. Need more loos for women

Its a little bit to echoey for full band gigs. The sound just reverberates like heck around the place.

I did however, return to see Amos Lee play a solo acoustic set and the venue works perfectly for 1 guy and his guitar.

Some fine folk / rock acts appear here. Saw the brilliant Show of Hands recently. Atmospheric, ok sight lines and good sound, but don't sit too near the speakers. Seats are not that comfortable for a long gig. Good refreshments. Systems and admin not user friendly, as if it had been nationalised, and we had to queue in the rain to get in. A bit last century- room for improvements.

Amazing venue. The acoustics are wonderful, and I'm convinced that there isn't a bad seat in the house.
Cute little bar inside too. Great place for a drink and a show.

Depends on what's going on there, but a smashing venue, get there early to reserve seats and nip upstairs for good food before the show.

Beautiful, atmospheric venue, mood enhancing lighting, nice (pricey) upstairs bar. Downside is the incredibly hard pews (bring a cushion to minimise numbness)

Quirky long time venue. This place functions as both an event venue as well as a working church.....and as such, looks and feels very much like the latter.

Union Chapel is split into 2 main areas, the main space (the chapel) and an upstairs bar/cafe area in an attached building with toilets in the small courtyard adjoining both buildings.

Staff were friendly (in a very church-like community spirited way) howver drinks in the bar were fairly expensive given the surroundings...although to be fair, they have a decent choice of wines, spirits and beers and despite being a little afraid to order a glass of Malbec.....it was actually v good.

The venue bar area also houses a small cafe which feels very homely, with no set menu but offers fresh home cooked snacks and meals on a rotating menu depending on the day.

The main space is set out as you might expect, as a church. The audience sits in rows of church benches...which after about 25mins become less comfortable.

Accoustics of the space are great albeit a little 'echoey' which isn't a surprise given you're sat watching a gig in a huge church hall.

I went mid Jan and it was freezing...so if you're heading there in a cold night...wrap up warm.

What a lovely gig venue - even the band seemed impressed. Good acoustics, easy access from two Tube stations and a bar upstairs.

We went here for a live podcast show and it is a intimate setting for any concert/show that gets organised here. There are more then enough toilets and there is even a bar. Seats (churchseats) are a bit uncomfortable but they have small pillows avaible for who wants.
