Excellent live venue, seen 2 rock bands here, downstairs, and from circle, both good viewing and sound quality
Lovely town hall for registry. Our daughter's registry went perfectly. Thank you to the registrar and assistant.
A great venue for live gigs, great sound system and staff are very friendly. No complaints
The seats upstairs are very tight if your a big guy, not bad for a small concert venue
Lovely venue and easy to get to. Unpretentious venue.
Great venue for music and lots of decent pubs and restaurants nearby
I ve been there for a THERION concert, nice place for small/medium gigs!
Refurbished (to a very high standard) "assembly halls", part of Islington Town Hall. Great large venue - it still possesses its original sprung dance floor! Holds various events including musical concerts for all tastes. Nearest Underground (Victoria Line) , Overground and Network Rail Station : Highbury & Islington, then walk along Upper Street. Angel (Northern Line (City Branch) then walk or bus 43, 30, 4,19 along Upper Street to Islington Town Hall Bus Stop.
Great venue, would be five stars but the bar is pricey limited
Alright. Sound was good compared to london venues. Loved the lady at cloak room, bar was good, but omg we were waiting one hour outside for the vip doors to open - and organising the queues was a bit of an issue. It all got resolved and the gig was awesome
Great venue. Beautiful toilets. Shame about the smell
Small room but excellent family atmosphere.
The staff is very welcoming, including with foreign tourists.
The acoustics of the room is good.
A very good concert hall.
Good little venue for concerts! Beer selection is not good and toilet is not well located, but the sound was great!
Saw Swans here only last week. Just. Incredible. Beautiful venue with a grand feeling even though it's relatively small!
Think of a baby Brixton and you're there.
Excellent concert venue the sound is the best, with spectacular scenery, lights and the staff provides good service.
Also, the schedules are strictly punctual, there are smoking areas on the premises
Great, but the smell wasn't great and the volume was a little too loud.
A spacious place and very good acoustics. The only thing the bathrooms are made of wood !!
Cracking little venue!
Intimate, comfortable, helpful and friendly staff and security, and they sell decent beer... top marks!
Nice venue and easy to travel to with public transport
Brilliant little venue. Drink prices are extortionate.
Good venue, shame it's midweek and I have to get up early so not enough beer. I look forward to a weekend visit.
Nice venue a short walk from Highbury and Islington tube station. The sprung floor makes it feel a bit like the school disco in Back to the Future, but it's a great place to see a band play. Small enough to feel intimate, large enough to make it all worthwhile.
Mica Paris live. Great atmosphere and acoustics. Recommended.
Good small gig venue, though bar a little small and slow if busy.
Nice traditional concert hall with a relaxed vibe, clean toilets and some limited seating. I have now seen several shows here and the view and sound has almost always been top notch. It's definitely one of my preferred London venues right now.
Tidy little concert hall, good for gigs, decent acoustics, decent bar
Good venue, bars not to bad. Easy to get out of as well unlike alot of others.
Very nice venue for gigs, great sound, relaxed crowd.
Nice space, good gig and reasonable price for drinks (in London)
Nice older, restored theater with balcony and stage. Attended a catered wedding with about 100 guests and there was plenty of room. Clean and functional, easy to navigate. Very easy to reach via public transport.
Great spot for receptions and parties. I would imagine it would be a great place for theater or live music.
Fantastic venue with lovely friendly staff.Sound quality was really good acoustically, and I would recommend this place as a venue for any private function or gig..x
Nice sized venue bar upstairs not as busy as downstairs although the security person said how did you get upstairs with a standing ticket ...I replied I walked up the stairs!
Good old fashioned venue, good sound, good view of stage , good bar staff
Wicked venue that's home to the UK B-Boy Champs with a balcony for seated viewing but a open stalls floor area for people that want to get up close and personal with the stage.
Lovely venue, unfortunately very heavy handed bouncers.
Excellent place for a gig or performance. Good acustic, nice space and easy to reach
The place is in the heart of Islington and people working in that place were all friendly and they greeted you with smile, very welcoming...
It's like a wedding conveyor belt but nice place, decent staff
Not particularly spacious but okay for a small concert.
Gorgeous venue - very easy to access. Great sound systems!
Fantastic venue for intimate concert with Ed Sheeran.
Fantastic time
Really nice live music venue. Wide and not that deep with a nice high stage meaning the sightlines are good in every direction. Proper bar as well with a better selection of drinks than most venues I've been to. The bar is more expensive than most though.
We recently went to see the wonderful Lisa Hannigan and it was our first visit to the Islington Assembly Hall.Great venue and gig but I have to say the continuous sound of bottles being slung into bins and the noise of glasses being bashed around, even a trolley being rolled out during the gig was absolutely awful. You might get away with this if there is a metal band bashing it out on stage but not with acts like Lisa. I went to see Damien Rice in Galway last year and the bars closed as soon as he came on stage. Maybe a practise you should consider...
Great place for a gig. Got proper bars now instead of canned lager and nothing else.
A historic venue delivering high quality meetings and cutting edge translational findings
Beautiful Art-Deco building, great sound. Wonderful place to see live music.
Not only were the reception really amazing at answering all of my worries but the staff at the entrance were lovely with one even wishing me a safe journey home. The act I saw was incredible, guccihighwater check him out I would 100% recommend. The venue was beautiful and on top of it all the lighting and sound brought it all together will definitely be going back as it's easy to get to and is a lovely place.
Great venue for a gig. Standing downstairs. Seating upstairs. Good bar. Would go again to Islington Assembly Hall.
Invited for a conference meeting. Islington assembly hall, has plush surrounding. I believe any one can hire the hall for all sorts of events, parties. It can hold approximately 300 - 400 people. As for parking, pay & display. CPZ (car parking zone).
