The building is magnificent and houses several other offices such as the Haitian red cross, Nu Tv, lissa and a digicel shop. It is attached to the Marriott hotel. The staff are courteous.
The only problem is customers are not entitled to the parking area. As the building is in an area with heavy traffic. It is always difficult to park to access the building.

It is one of the two mobile phone companies in Haiti. I give two stars because it still allows to communicate. During the first years she offered an irreproachable service. However, recently users have been experiencing regular signal failures, difficulties in joining other subscribers to the same network, and a poor internet connection. Even postpaid customers are experiencing these problems. The price of the various plans almost doubled while the quality of service has worsened. Telecommunication remains a real challenge in Haiti.

Beautiful architecture, with several floors. It gives very nice view. Air-conditioned building, it also contains a center of the red cross. It contains a store selling smartphones, we can also make replacements for SIM cards. There is also my cash desk at the entrance. It is an accessible space for the disabled.

When Digicel came to Haiti he was doing a good job but now he is killing people, killing people, stealing people's money. I know why they are managing a small business that does not even have jobs, but they know how it is done in other countries. Many people say digicel is good and they never see how it sucks.

Digicel was founded in April 2001, when it launched its first mobile GSM network in Jamaica.

In 2006, she moved to Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti.

In the French Departments of America (DFA) Edit

In Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Digicel is in competition with French and therefore European market. However, unlike competing operators, Digicel did not provide 3G services for the year 2008 in Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Guyana. From 2009, the operator submits a request to ARCEP to obtain frequency bands. Digicel obtains the authorization of the Authority in 2010 (see ARCEP decision no 2010-0201).

Competition with incumbents

Digiciel has been in trial with operators already present [1], [2].

In December 2007, Digicel obtained a mobile phone license in Honduras and a license to operate in Panama in May 2008.

In 2007, Digicel acquired U * Mobile, now renamed Digicel Guyane Ltd to invest in markets in South America: Guyana, Suriname (December 2007) and French Guiana (June 2006).

Digicel's sister company in the Pacific Islands region currently operates a 900 MHz GPRS and Edge, Vanuatu, Tonga, Fiji, Nauru and GSM data network in Samoa and Papua New Guinea. Experimental in the Solomon Islands and Tahiti.
