I want to thank Amanda Calderon for being very professional and thorough in explaining my interests and what plans would fit me the best!!

Horrible communication right when I needed it the most. We ended up giving them thousands of dollars for them to not cover a cent of an urgent care visit.
It was like pulling teeth trying to get my "agent" to call me back so I could cancel the service. Once the service was cancelled, they still tried to charge my account, so I had to get our bank involved.
Overall, it was a health coverage nightmare!

My husband and I are so thrilled to be working with UHSM. After years of dealing with constant premium increases and less coverage, we decided to make the change. We are now saving over $400 a month and have lowered our deductible in a major way. Amanda has been incredible to work with and I love having total access to her with ANY questions. Excited to be saving money monthly and know more about what our money pays for.

Joshua did an excellent job of informing me of my options and helping me select the plan that was best for our family.

We're very happy with UHSM. We had a number of medical bills this year and
feel like UHSM provided the service they promised. Our bills were taken care of in a timely manner.

Not even a member yet and the service has been fantastic. Even with everything going on in my life Josh Rendeiro has been amazing from the start. Being informative to someone that is a first time shopper and following up in the proper way. His customer service has earned UHSM a new client.

UHSM was awesome! I had no insurance for the last 7 months as I was transitioning from one job to another so I decided to give this company a try. Knowing that I had some sort of health plan for my girls and myself during this time gave me peace of mind. I actually had to use them during this time but it was very easy to get a tele-health appt and was able to get prescriptions faxed over to my local pharmacy and recover quickly from a severe sinus infection. I would highly recommend this as an alternative to health insurance when you're in a bind. The rates vary depending on what coverage you choose but they're very reasonable so much that a single mother of 2 could afford. Thanks to Lukas Propac for all your help during this time! I would definitely come back should I ever need coverage again.

Each time, especially the second time, he treated me fairly and as though it was a first opening. That kind of personality in the sales business is amazing and extremely rare!

THIS MAN Matthew Laney knows his stuff. Although I left for other reasons I was sad to go purely based off of his customer service and genuine care for me as a client. He needs a raise.

My wife recently had to go to the emergency room with a broken wrist. After ER care and providing pain medication we were directed to a Doctor for followup. The Doctor showed to be 'in network' so we went to to see him on a Monday. Surgery was recommended for Thursday of the same week. The medical surgical facility showed to be 'in network' and a phone conversation with a UHSM rep confirmed it as such. However; beginning on Tuesday of the same week I had multiple conversations with the surgical facility and they declined to work with UHSM even though they showed to be in network and our only opportunity would be to 'self pay'. So my wife had need for surgery and this was the Doctors preferred facility to perform surgery at that he was most comfortable and he and the staff were familiar with. We went ahead with the surgery and as a result had to self pay which was quite an expense. On a separate but related note we had a follow-up on Wednesday, the 25th with the Doctor. He was quite pleased with my wife's progress and recommended a physical therapist going forward. The PT he recommended was once again 'in network' so we scheduled an appointment. That same afternoon a representative from the PT's billing department called me to let me know they had contacted UHSM and given the Tax ID info and based on discussion were deemed 'not in network'. So, the moral of my story is just because a provider shows to be 'in network' on the UHSM website does not mean the provider is obligated in any way to work with UHSM. In long term cases one may have time to shop around until someone is found but in a case such as my wife's where there is an urgent need to repair a broken bone and your into the 11th hour attempting to make a decision it is very disheartening to say the least!

So thankful for Amanda, she was able to put the healthcare language into simpler terms that I could understand! I was paying so much more for health insurance and only able to insure myself and my children... Amanda listened carefully to my needs and diligently looked through different options that would work the best for me! She was so personable (unlike prior experiences at health insurance companies) and she made me laugh and I felt comfortable knowing she had my best interest in mind! Amanda made me feel confident and secure knowing that if I had ANY problems I had a number to directly talk to her and not be put through a customer service line not knowing if I would be just another number for a big company... my family and I are so grateful to Amanda and her hard work to give us a plan that was affordable and safe! Thank you for taking a huge weight off of our shoulders!

Jeff Garcia is amazing! I have worked with him for over a year now and love that I have a direct number - no auto bot, no second person who don't know what is going on. I recommend him to all my coworkers and know I can always count on great services any time I have a question or need to make changes to my coverage. Keep up the great work Jeff!

This is the worst insurance company I ve ever had to deal with, I ve tried to reach anyone from the company for hours at a time busy signal for hours and every day Have paid since May 2019 almost 800 a month and they have not paid one medical bill. I need someone to respect the members of this program and be available to answer questions. I tried to reach then through BCBS and they said the number is disconnected

This is the worst insurance I have ever had. The customer service reps are rude and I cannot count the amount of times I couldn't even get a hold of them because their "phones were down". When I did finally get a hold of someone, I was transferred from person to person before anyone could give me answers to why my billing wasn't going through correctly. I paid $160 a month and the only benefit I attempted to use was the "free" physical that was suppose to be included in my coverage. They refused to pay this three separate times, for three different reasons, even though it was a covered benefit under a covered provider.
If you get this insurance do not expect to ever use it. They will fight every bill you try to send them, and find some reason its not "covered". Also do not trust the list of providers they cover, I did this and they still ended up saying " I guess the list wasn't updated, your provider is no longer covered."
As a provider myself, I was disgusted at this "Christian" ministry for how they take advantage of people who need simple coverage and make it almost impossible to help.

THEY REFUSE TO ACCEPT MEMBER SUBMITTED CLAIMS. HOSPITAL NOT CONTRACTED WITH UHSM BUT UHSM WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING BESIDES AN OFFICIAL CLAIM DIRECTLY FROM THE PROVIDER. AN ITEMIZATION OF CHARGES WITH ALL THE CODING THAT A UB04 FORM WOULD CONTAIN WAS SENT TO UHSM AND THEY REFUSE TO PROCESS IT. EXPECT TO PAY OUTRAGEOUS BILLS OUT OF POCKET WITH NO HELP FROM THIS "MINISTRY".

My spouse is on a UHSM plan through her work and is consistently disappointed at the poor coverage she receives for not only scheduled doctor visits and prescriptions, but in times of emergency as well. The latest being a vacation to Cancun where she was admitted to the emergency room. Payment was provided to the hospital up front, and upon return to the states, Rosarita Rios from UHSM kindly told her to kick rocks when asked about any compensation for the very expensive hospital visit and all necessary prescriptions. Apparently, once you cross the border, you are of no concern to them.

That is a ghastly and shameful practice.

Spoke with Zachary Carrillo, who is so helpful and pleasant to talk with. He explains things well and takes the time to answer all your questions. My husband just had a major health crisis and I was very worried about the bills and if UHSM health would work the way Zachary told us it would when my husband signed up. Got the first major hospital bill and all was paid except our deductible . Was very happy to see this. Zachary said to call him if it did not continue to work this way. Have recommended UHSM to many people.

It has been a wonderful experience to part of UHSM. Jeff has been a caring individual to work with, helping me navigate through the system and has a caring heart to call and see how we are doing.

It s embarrassing to make doctors appointments with so called in network doctors, and when you go- the doctors office tells you they are not in network
This is after calling numerous times before to First Health / UHSM to verify coverage.
UHSM routinely takes $350 out of my checking account monthly and I get NOTHING from them.!!!!!

Elisa Pogu is the greatest! After several conversations with possible insurance providers, I had arrived at the point of giving up on finding what I need for myself and my family. I m so glad I answered the phone when Elisa called. She listened to my concerns and genuinely cared. She was able to get all of us covered quickly and at a better price than I thought was possible. UHSM is an awesome company. My family and I recently purchased a healthcare plan. Being able to see my doctor of whom I haven t seen in 2 years was great. During this COVID-19 pandemic it was great to get the medication necessary to help me feel better.

We have had the UHSM plan since Feb2020 and we could not have had a better experience. Not only was the agent who signed us up kind, and thorough, He was extremely efficient and helpful, not just explaining us the plan, but also weighing all the issues and needs we have in our family. Using the plan has been amazing too. We have not felt any difference between our old health insurance plan to this. All maintained all of our doctors and have only paid $20 for every visit. AMAZING! I wished I had known about UHSM and their network earlier.

I talked to Jeff Garcia from SureCo for my health insurance needs. He is very knowledgeable .He patiently explained many options that are suitable for me. I could feel his sincerity to help me to make right decisions. He is very much appreciated. He is a example to show there are good and caring people in this world . Thank You Jeff.

Be very careful before enrolling here. I was a member and I seem to keep getting disappointed and ended up leaving. Before enrolling I ensured my doctor was part of the plan and I could use him as a Primary Care Provider/Physician and I was assured I could even though his specialty is OBGYN. They have him listed as a Primary Provider and therefore it would only cost me $20 each visit. I confirmed this BEFORE enrolling. After I have the visits, I find out they will not accept that and I now owe $40 per visit. Not at all what I was told. Additionally, I was told a 30 day wait for claims after signing up and afterwards, when I check to find why a bill wasn't covered I was told it is 60 days. How convenient - again! I kept trying to give this company benefit of the doubt but each time finding that I was told one thing prior to starting and now it is different after the fact. I ended up leaving because of it. The agent I originally signed up with was not honest with me and I think they let him go but the fact remains that I keep having to pay money on things that I didn't expect to have to pay!! Just buyer beware!! When I called today I asked the customer service girl since I was upset where I can list a complaint and she hung up on me thus the reviews here. I wouldn't have posted this if she was willing to tell me where intra-company I could have complained about this. I just can't afford anymore surprises so I had to leave.

Jeffrey Garcia is the one that helped me and he was WONDERFUL! Really great help and gave me a sense of ease during this craziness with everyone losing their health insurance due to being furloughed during a pandemic. Highly recommend Jeffrey and UHSM :)
