wait is hours... came in with extreme chest pain they made me wait for hours... worst hospital I ve ever been to

NEGATIVE RATING for Dr. Marc A. Cohen (Psychiatrist). Marc Allen Cohen (MD)was the worst, most condescending, egocentric, misinformed doctor I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. He should go back to school, or better, work at a carwash where he can do less harm.

Scary experience. One of the worst psych hospitals in the San Fernando valley. I was traumatized since Olive view didn't have an adolescent unit and was instead put in an observation room and could hear fights and sheriff deputies restraining a man and a woman was in another room right next to me and was sedated promptly. I was locked in a room with no windows and only allowed out for bathroom breaks

Mmmm, i though it was great, even for phone call i waited over 10 min. For nothing ER u most be really dieing to get attention help the worts place please look for better place because rather pay for help when i need it than waste my time like that 7 hours ER with not help of all.

Came in at about approximately 12:30 in the afternoon. I had a feeling I was going to to be treated very bad! But to be honest they treated with respect and also with big smiles. The one thing I notice is that I pay attention to detail? Other then that everyone so far has been amazing I rate the a 5At+ I m here to get help not be judge for the ridiculous things I have been through and done! WARNING The worst hospital in the Los Angeles area something as simple as scheduling an appointment can take a good month or so they have employees the simple cant get things done if i had a choice id stay far far away form here WARNING

The nursing staff is very unprofessional, they don't clean the patients rooms, the nurses stations hang up on family members & the hospital needs to be shut down

When you try calling on the weekend. The one phone numberr they list, just rings, and rings, and rings...and is left to ring for my last call 32 minutes before hanging up. I have a patient family member who is there, and cannot reach anyone. Had to drive 40+ miles to check on my relatives health.

This is a wonderful hospital, with incredible staff.
I spent one year here, in and out twice a week, prepping for and healing from multiple hernia surgeries.
It was a difficult, scary, lonely time for me and everyone from front desk to nurses, to surgeons, to cafeteria workers to security, were ultimately gracious and my surgeries and physical therapy were a big success.

After nurse to see and get my history I waited 3 hours without Doctor calling my name. I end up going home. This hospital u will end up dying they doesn't care. Coz no one give attentions

Bad service my dad was at the emergency room since earlier this morning and was told he would be admitted a few hours later still no room , 7:40pm mom comes home and says all his waiting is to be transfer to his room, 9:30pm my mom calls the hospital to find out if he had already been transferred but to our surprise we were told he was getting discharged from the hospital. We got no call from any one at the hospital to notifying us, they said it was the patients responsibility, my dad had a fungus on his throat he can t talk that much , but they expect for him to call. Good thing my mom calls if not what would of happen to my dad. Unprofessional, rude I can believe this people.

During a pandemic, with social distancing orders in effect, and with major construction ongoing, and limited parking available, it s time to start a weekly Farmers Market.

Poor communication between different departments handling my care. Mistakes made left and right. Awful, frustrating experience. Giving up and seeking care elsewhere for my severely fractured shoulder. I will never go here again.

Went in for lower right abdominal pain could barely even stand or yet walk in the emergency room. I checked in to see a doctor. They had me wait 7 nearly 8 hours in the emergency room, the service here is here horrible with almost all uneducated & rude staff, ill give it there some polite staff barley. After I got a room I saw they have very some dirty rooms & comfortable beds, I had to wait 45 mins almost a hour before I even got to see a clueless nurse, I didn't get attended by no doctor. I waited in the room the nurses came they analyzed me felt my lower side abdomen, I was in indescribable pain they pretty much just threw a guess "possible blockage" they said after well give you some meds for it. Yet even after their apsomption I waited for my meds, they come back "you're free to go". I got prescribed me pain medince and stool looser. THIS PLACE IS JOKE better off else don't recommend it don't waste your time. After all that fuss I lost half my day & still got billed $4,602.

This place is absolutely awful. It's brand new doctors that are basically practicing on patients. One of them was my grandfather. He had had many other surgeries before elsewhere but when he got his first and last one here, he was in horrible pain unlike the other times and they missed some of the tumors. They did things to him that no other place has done. Never again.

I like to start of by saying that this is my first time going to Olive Hospital, clean floors, friendly employees, friendly staff, and the surgents professionals and such great people with amazing smiles making me feel like I'm in the right place. I recommend this hospital to anyone.

they charged my wife $1260.00 just for register in emergency room , they waste our time and charged us for no service.
after I dispute it with specialist in July 2013 . I got notice (after 3 years) from collection in April 2016 for $1260.00 .

My wife has had a surgery here. They was very pleasant the staff seemed very very helpful and the intake was very generous. I'm really happy with our stay here just to comfort and hospitality that was given. Being a county Hospital if it has improved a whole lot. The emergency room the other day was also comforting. They even have free Wi-Fi to compensate for no service on your cell phone.

The worst clinic to ever come in when pregnant. The place adds so much stress on you that you don t need. The place is dirty, un-organized, and they over crowd their appointments where you have to wait for 2 hours to see the OB doctor and the clinic is considered High risk. You come for your appointment at 10am and don t get to see the doctor until 12 noon and after leaving the facility they call to notify you that they forgot to give you your lab paperwork for blood draw.

I an sixty two and I've been in many hospitals in the last 5 years due to copd. I had a cabinet shop for years.The sawdust and Spraying all the different types of finishes finally caught up with me. I have also had 2 knee surgeries and a tibial plateau break in my right leg it has not been very fun the last 5 or 6 years, believe me.
I can tell you this is one of the best hospitals I've been in. From the staff and nurses to the doctors and the modern architectural upgrades.
It would be pretty hard to beat.
Just remember that sometimes you cannot always be seen right this second. In all cases there are some people even though they don't look like it they might be very sick and will be seen before you.
So be proactive and think ahead. Bring a book, great time to read or study the Bible.
Make sure your phone is charged, also bring a charger and your headphones.
If you like to draw or write bring a some pens or pencils and some paper.
Or if you have kids bring some Crayons and coloring books.
And most of all be kind and patient with the many people that will be serving you.
Kindness and patience go a long way!

Unprofessional stuff and unreasonable long wait. They are careless to people who need urgent attention, they just have a set of rules who goes first and who waits hours before they get any preliminary medical help or a check up.It is under Ronald Matibag supervision.

This place is beyond slow came in for asthmatic complications and shortness of breathe its been 6 hours no prescription or treatment this place needs to be reported it wasn t event a lot of people in the waiting room staffing here is very slow

Come on, if you are going to write something, please correct spelling and grammar, I could barely understand what you all were writing. I highly doubt that this hospital would keep anyone in an e.r. for 7 hours waiting to receive treatment.

Well, woe to all angry people, people in a bad mood, people with an ugly character, but someone who comes ill has a consultation needs a smile x at least is my opinion.

Short time waiting, unproffesional employees from security to nurses, security not checking right even when machines beeps, nurse arguing because didnt want to take a patient to her room, nurses speakimg about personal life instead of worring about patient, desk ladies acting disrepectful and answering with some agresive tone of voice.

Worst doctors I have ever seen in a hospital. Patient was completely unable to walk and refused to admit him stating there was nothing wrong. Horrible.

To all pregnant woman don't even think to go here for your pregnancy check up or ultrasound or for prenatal care .. they killed my baby

My family and I would like to thank Dr. Joshua Au, his staff and all of the nurses at Olive View Medical Center for an outstanding operation and recovery. They were very thoughtful in their approach to the surgery, minimizing the incisions while completely take care of the issue, which speaks to their strong experience. From there, the doctors and nurses were terrific during my short stay in the hospital. They were very attentive and knowledgeable, which helped with the healing process and made the stay more comfortable. The entire team was terrific, and we thank you from the bottom of our heart for the help!

The nurses had my son taken away from me by hurting my son and not listening to me and not letting me take care of my so so when I would get frustrated they would make a report saying I was being violent but every thing was fine I had a good relationship with the nurses and doctors but when it came to discharge me and my son they switched up quick and called dcfs on me and after just two days with my son they took him and till this day 4/15/21 I still can t have my son because children court is making big money off my son so now I have to wait until may19 to try again and fight for my son and say what the nurses and doctors lied because they wasn t comfortable with a mixed baby like my son going home with a black woman

Worst experience with eye clinic department. It's always overcrowded, often do not have enough chairs in a waiting area so you have to be standing somewhere or wait outside. It's easy to miss that your name was called to see a doctor but even if you are on time for your appointment you have to wait couple of hours may be five or more - it's almost all day. Some of the doctors spend more time to be on the computer rather than having proper communication with patient. It's absolutely not professional

I've been going here for 2 years for cancer treatment and everyone is great.

Thanks to everyone, in general it is a great team, in 2010 my son was cited for a schizophrenia crisis, and so far he is under control, it was not easy, but so far we are seeing his disorder but how they are I'm going. I thank all the Doctors and everyone for such wonderful help. We are very grateful parents. Today is fine, you can say. Thanks to the Directors, par excellence.

Very unprofessional secretary staff. When I am calling a hospital and worried sick about patients in there, the last thing I want to hear is the staff there answering the phone while talking to other people , laughing forgetting their on the phone or have answered the phone. Its very unprofessional and not the setting. If you are answering phone, be courteous to the people calling, might I remind you are getting paid to deal with people on the phone so it stopping acting like we are inconveniencing your conversation when we call.

Don t go ER if you have emergency they will tell wait and after 5 hours they will say wait another 5 hours . Heartless people are working with robotic answer and schedule ! Liars !!!

I didn t want to make this review out of anger to I waited a couple of days to calm down and right my review.
I am very disappointed in the way my father was taken care of last Sunday. My father had left leg swollen that was on get bigger and it was red & hot to the touch there was also extreme bruising that seems to have been spreading the past couple of days.
He checked in at 11AM and my sister and I picked him up at 8PM.
My dad was giving discharge forms about alcoholism and no medication was prescribed nor treatment given either.
My dad came out nothing about his condition being addressed and the doctor at the ER FAILED to order the necessary test to determine what is causing the heavy swelling and bruising.

It s very concerning that no imaging on legs and blood work was done. ER was our last option since the urgent care we went said they can t rule out anything there because they are limited to what they can do and his primary care doctor was only able to have telemedicine consult with my dad and everything she ordered wasn t able to be done the same day and my dad needed to be at a hospital setting for further examination.
All I wanted for my dad to be taken care of properly and he wasn t.

One day They call me to come on 11 am and when I went there they say no record has shown! More to that they are tooo slow!!!! And u have to wait for hours to your appointment.... and if u come late they gonna give u hard times !

You do have to wait unless your dying! I appreciate the time and effort these doctors have done. Thank you

This hospital is one of the best to have your baby at, they took care of me and my babies very well, thank you to all the staff

Was addmitted through emergency only to discover I had stage lV throat cancer. So was addmitted to the ICU and treated immediately due to the seriousness of my situation. It would take me to long to fully give a much deserved review but I was treated very well while I was going through the prep and all that was involved throughout my treatment. I don't think at day one my prognosis was very good cause I waited and allowed myself to let the cancer to reach a deadly stage lV. From the beginning I felt the staff had every intention to do their damnedest for me. That was 11 months ago and I'm still alive and getting stronger and better. Thank you Jesus and thank you all at the Olive View staff involved with my treatment and continual recovery.

What an all v around great nurse.

This is the worst hospital that I have ever been! I took my mother there bc she fell and fracture her arm and also she has a blood pressure problem, last year she took a stroke! Well the stuff didn t care at all, bc of stress her blood pressure jumped 204 the nurse looking at it like everything is ok after 5 times of asking she finally told me yea it is high, my mother took her medicine that she had with her they did not think about giving her any for that! After an hour I demand to check her pressure again and it was high again, no reaction she took another one! That told us to wait in the waiting room, after a long wait they did the X-ray fit the arm and send us back to the waiting room again! I took her there at 10 pm it was 2 am already! I was feeling that my mother is getting worse over there I could see that her blood pressure jumped high she couldn t breathe couldn t talk it was 4:20 am already. I immediately told about it to the front desk they did not even move, she just checked the computer and said the doctor will take a look at it when I asked when she said we are very busy I don t know! I start arguing with them telling that she had a stroke last year bc of her blood pressure do something about it give some medicine, she said well I don t see any high pressure records here sir you have to wait! After that I took her other hospital they got her inside within 7 minutes!

Plus I get the best treatment here. I go here for my treatment of the fibroids. They are very nice doctor's.

My one star is for their pharmacy dept. they NEVER pick up the phone. So unprofessional. You can attempt to call for literally an hour and they will not pick up! And if they happen to pick up, they pretend to not hear you and hang up the phone. I know this sounds phony but unfortunately it s true. Worst pharmacy I ve ever encountered with.

Service here is a good reminder why you should get good insurance, long waits for appointments. Wasted way to much time in this hospital. Lots of problems contribute to this, unfortunate the state of this hospital, city, state etc..

Worst hospital I ever been to. Not reliable, not honest, unprofessional.

Had severe pain and needed to go to the ER. I do not have insurance and heard this was the place to go. Due to the financial assistance available, this place has a very long waiting room in the ER. I waited for 9 hours to see a doctor. That said, sadly there are few places that are in the business of helping people and many places very happy to charge you thousands of dollars for the minimum required emergency protocol. Olive View has a great staff. I saw Dr. Alex Zhornitskiy (Might not be spelling correctly). He was incredible. Took the time to go through every possible reason for my pain and through process of elimination together he was able to direct me in how to care and who to see moving forward. I am lucky I did not have an emergency condition but if I did I am confident he would have found it.

One Of the Worst hospitals to go to and the staff are soo Rude the ER takes forever

The people seating in the registration for urgent care they are lazies 2 man doing nothing talking and 2 women rude and nasty and not friendly at all,like if they are doing people a favor. Thanks to people like us they have a job and a pay check every week.

While I know that one doctor does not a whole hospital make, I must say that I have had one of the worst experiences in my entire life here. In dealing with the staff here in the emergency room, someone very close to me was forced to go through some of the most damaging and difficult times in her life. The mental and physical scars that resulted from the things that occurred will never go away.

So far so great! Been going here for wrist surgery and PT and the staff are awesome and pretty much everything is very well managed!

This place is denying my mom a CT scan just because they say she has a Kaiser insurance and my mom doesn't have such thing she has medical. My mom has a different address than this lady who has insurance at Kaiser. This dumb place is telling her to go cancel that insurance at Kaiser (pretty much go cancel someone else's insurance) seriously how in hell? If it was someone from their family going through something like this they would sure help them. My mom has a cyst and we don't know if its good or bad, I'm dying in the inside because I'm freaking out and for these people it's just as easy as "oh well we have to cancel your order. If this gets worse or something happens to my mom this will be their fault. My experience in general with this hospital has told me that this hospital us more full if people who need a good job to pay rent and that's the only reason why they are working there THAN people who actually love their career and truly helping people. So STUPID, so PEOPLE if someone with a good insurance has the same name as you they will stop any service for you even if you have been going through hell like I have. Just as simple as that. Bunch of lazy and rude people

A mistake was made by a doctor and the pharmacy at the hospital that almost killed me and left me going through 4 surgeries and almost completely bankrupted me.

The hospital was investigating it but the main administration and legal was unwilling to meet with me to discuss their mistakes properly and offer a suitable outcome. The best I got was a note their legal department sent along with a doctor telling me they wont meet me after dragging everything out for months.

On top of all of this, an unknown doctor has been harassing me via telephone from the hospital lines and the investigation has had very little result. It took them months to look up the call logs. Also many of the relevant pharmacy records seem to have "disappeared".

The legal team even tried to lie to me and said they found nothing right after their investigation team admitted they found evidence of the calls. Once confronted with that knowledge the admitted they did have some evidence of the calls.The county has also been unresponsive to my claims.

All in all if this hospital makes a mistake don't expect anyone to help you afterwards. They will sweep it under the rug,

The actions of one bad doctor, pharmacy and irresponsible hospital administration shouldn't reflect on all the other amazing staff there.

Horrible hospital, terrible ER ever. Has been there from 8:30am till 5pm AMD never got treated. Will never go back and will not suggest any one to go there.

I am here visiting a patient on the 5th Floor ( Jul14 - 230pm) from all the aweful bad reviews-- I am not convinced from the haters and complainers. The security to the information desk to the nursing station , they're all amazingly friendly. And this particular gentleman, Arthur ( I believe he is one of the cleaning staffs/houseman) who actually dropped what he is doing and offered Assistance. He went above and beyond!!. He looked around until he found the nurse who was taking care of the patient i was looking for. He deserves to be recognized of how little gesture could make someone's day seems so alright. And to the nurse, " Mimi"( I think that's her name, a very nice young Filipino nurse)... Thank you for your gentle smile and courteous attitude . You don't get that alot nowadays. Management should take time to recognize all your hardworking staffs and still manage to smile. I know how challenging of all the work loads you guys have to deal with eveyday and every hour of your shift . Hospitals are not the happiest place on earth-- but to have someone working for your organization with these kind of great attitude?!!! -- --- They create warming experience. See, I am a KAISER PERMANENTE member for more than 14yrs now and I have been admitted in Kaiser for more than 11weeks -- _ Its very similar service I got and the interaction was surely the same. Olive View deserves to get more stars - They went above PAR.
I am a true believer that you should have a little "empathy" to get what you deserve. So, for the negative reviewers _reality check: " Where you nice to these people?"..... coz, I bet, you guys got what you deserved. I am not a nurse or a Doctor _ But Hey, treat them with kindness, you will get kindness. You treat them with disrespect_ Thats what you get! AND PLEASE STOP expecting red carpet treatment. This ain't Four Seasons or Ritz!!

Fake reviews are really obvious, you can get paid to write a good review but no one gets paid to write a bad review. I could care less about wait times, it's the stories about people not being taken care of, misdiagnosed, and ignored that concerns me enough not to go to this hospital. Oh well, nothing in life is free and when it is, it still isn't worth it (Joker laugh).

Where do I start. Such a horrendous experience stripped of all human rights.And if you are there for treatment of mental health issues,good luck on complaining about your professional (or lack of) treatment if you are a patient in a mental hospital facility who's going to believe you? It really was very bad for me. I came in for a very strong pain of sciatica and my aching chest. It took me more than 5 hours to assist me was not a doctor was a nurse named Maritza to explain that I had done to calm my pain his answer was very grocery telling me that I needed it if I already thought I was a doctor. I think that if a doctor is not going to take the time to treat you to one because it seems unimportant to our suffering. At least they should take the time to train their staff to know how to treat people

Please Olive View lay off the people at the front desk who answer calls for information the operate hire new people who love doing there job and helping people with information about extensions because the people who work there right now are very rude and not helpful at all they don't like doing there job I called around 12:16 pm for the extension for the ent dept. The lady keeps fowarding me please

First time here , and it was the worst experience in my life ! Had to wait 4 hours to get called inside to still wait 1 and a half to get someone to check me . The employees are not so nice , they told me they were really busy and rooms were all busy , and when it was my turn to come inside , all the employees were on their phone , chatting and sleeping ! And a lot of rooms were empty and the people outside are dying of pain and the wait ! Never again will I step foot in this hospital AGAIN!

A very bad experience they do not attend quickly, I was in a very strong pain and it was better I left I went to another place and they told me that it was my heart, what would have happened if I had waited longer, very bad

So far doctors and nurses have been great. Took my son for a podiatric appointment on a broken toe and doctors have been very thoughtful and carefully with the desicions they take in reference wirh my son. The radiologist Chief of the that department was so sweet and worry for my son's well and bcu of his age they made sure they run all the necessary test. Clinic E rocks.

Horrible service. My son was in severe pain waiting for help for more than 5 hours. He had a trauma. No one cared at that facility to give him ice or pain medicine to elevate his pain. Only when I called the local news , they called on him. People at Olive hospital do not have mercy ; they are indifferent to your pain! do not go there!!!!!

I ended up here after ****ing up my knee pretty bad in a bicycle accident - kneecap full of rocks, blood all over. GG honestly made it not so bad though - the place was clean and bright; the staff was friendly, sympathetic, and effective; I was seen quickly even as a walk-in; and most importantly, Kurt is obviously very good at what he does, and kind and competent to boot.With an Anthem Blue Cross PPO the prices were fair - solidly less than I'd expect to pay at an ER.I'm glad to have GG nearby for the next time I wipe out :)Also, Kurt, if you're reading this - recently I met a very smart guy on our maps team, and he assures me that they'll be rolling out new Tesla-custom mapping soon that'll fix all the problems you've been having navigating between Superchargers :)

At the emergency room they are fast, efficient, and caring. From the start at security to when you exit at pharmacy. Keep up the good work guyz. :-D
