Very efficient US passport replacement! About 2 hours total, but that may vary based on time of day. No need to prefill forms, all done on terminals there. Photo booth on site. Cash or card for fee. Need parents DOB and place for form. Never leave your passport in your rental car!

Having submitted a visa application to the American Embassy in Paris on December 22, 2017, To date no return from them. The telephone service leaves something to be desired (I was hung up on my nose 100 times) .... if I knew I would never have started the procedure .... Today I just want to get my passport back, but I don't know not how ...

I have traveled to Iran and went to issue an American tourist visa.

To issue a tourist visa, first make a reservation from the dedicated page.
However, the page is quite unstable, so endurance to wait without waiting is important.

Arrived a little earlier than the hour with a small bag and all the necessary documents on the date I booked.
Leave your smartphone at the entrance and go inside.

Reception does not start on time.
The inside is already a long line.

The interview is like a bank teller.
When it's over, head for the exit, and return to the outside with your smartphone and other electrical equipment.

You can receive your visa by mailing it home or at the shop.
If you are worried about getting it to your accommodation, please ask for it at the store when you make a reservation.

I received an e-mail on my mobile phone in about a week and got my passport with a visa safely.

Nice on the phone, when you can reach them but they don't say that no visa is given for an Iranian woman to visit the USA as a tourist. You have to make an appointment and pay 160 to find out. If such visa requests are 100% refused, you might as well say it on the site or by phone instead of taking 160! It smells like a scam ........

They make people wait behind barriers on the other end of the avenue! Once there the reception is rather pleasant, but impossible to have any information if your case requires an additional procedure. It is even worse if you call by phone, we do not even listen to you and redirect you directly to providers who generally do not have control over what is happening. It's been more than 3 months since I made the request and still no response, I can't even collect my passport to travel elsewhere. A shame !

Lost, Stolen or Mutilated Passports: Traveling Immediately

The Embassy will only provide emergency walk-in services from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. ...

One might assume that they are open 7 days a week for this kind of emergency but they are not. Misleading information on the website and utterly useless People. We pay taxes to send these people on a very well paid vacation to Pari. Shame on you!

My bag with my passport and a lot other things was stolen in a Mercure Hotel in Bordeaux. I experienced all the chaos and hard times in France. The French Police and hotel staff are so incapable and lazy, probably beyond anyone s imagination.

I came to the US Embassy in Paris with all prepared documents to apply a new passport. The Embassy staff were all helpful and efficient. I got a new passport in 30 min! Amazing service and efficiency. I do not know if any other countries could have such a wonderful Embassy.

Horrible. It's been 4 months now that I'm waiting for my passport. Four months that I try to obtain information in vain. Unable to obtain information regarding the status of the visa. It's a big black box where nothing filters. It's just a shame to block people without telling them anything, ask or explain.

I was extremely impressed and proud with the team at the embassy. Outstanding customer service and professionalism. We visited the embassy to register my newborn, apply for SSN and the first passport. Our appointment was at 10 AM, by 10:40 AM we completed the mission and 7 days after we received the passport and the birth certificate.
VERY IMPRESSED !!!! PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN

I went to the appointment at 10 am, waited 20-30 minutes in line and finally got my turn to speak to the interviewer. I get some questions like "what's the purpose of your visit", "which city are visiting", and what do you do in Paris" not more than 2 min later, the guy rudely gives me a paper and my passport back and says "you're not eligible, you can read in the paper why" in the most cold blooded manner.
I'm well established, living and working in Paris.. probably my origins has something to do with the denial? No worries tho, I'm not even disappointed :D

Be very careful with your visa requests !! Ask for ALL the proofs. They lost my passport with the visa to 1200 and I had no refund because I had no receipt from them (they give it on request)!
Very very disappointed with them!

My husband is a French Citizen, I am an American Citizen we were trying to get a SB1 (return visa) for my husband (who has been a permanent resident for over 20 years) to return to the US because he went over his year of being out of country two months because our son and I were sick and had to have medical treatment while being in France. He had his green card, drivers license, SSN everything for over 20 years of being in the US, but we decided to go to France for a bit. So he goes to his interview at the US Embassy in Paris, France 1st person he sees is Asian asks if he has all of his papers, answer yes of course, take a seat someone will call you 2nd person British tells him he had to go pay $275 for the SB1, then sits and waits again to be called 3rd person American starts asking questions walks off every time he starts to answer, if she is not walking off she turns her head to ignore his answers, asks for his paperwork does not even look at them, when he starts to answer the questions she asks more questions and does not listen to the last answer, when he tries to interrupt to answer she boles right over him right into another question. All to be denied because she said that his reasoning for being out of the states was not sufficient enough and he did not plan on ever going back BECAUSE HE COULD FORSEE MY SON AND I GETTING SICK WHILE IN FRANCE. Our son (US Citizen) was having to see a heart specialist to make sure he was okay and we found out he has a heart murmur but luckily not life threatening. Not to mention we have a checking account still in the states, our mail is still going to my mothers in the states, both my mother and father have health issues and I just lost my grandmother. Her answers were that I will have to file the I-130 that will cost another $420 that could still be denied AND the wait is about 2 years. He felt like she treated him like a piece of trash in his own country, while she sits and enjoys the privileges of the health care system in France. He wanted to ask her if she enjoyed being her to enjoy it. Being denied is one thing, but at least be nice to people so they do not feel like SH** in the process because they already feel like SH** for being denied. Makes you wonder how our US Embassy could employee such cold hearted individuals who get to enjoy the benefits of living abroad to treat the citizens of that country like SH**!!! I have always been treated nicely in France and at their Embassy in the US
