Legit one of the best places for an aviation enthusiast. They have everything from the YF-23 to p-82 twin Mustangs. Absolutely amazing facility and beautiful planes. They let us host a drone race in March and it remains as one of my favorite memories. I always look forward to going back.

I came to this museum with my Boy Scout troop. It was extremely informative and it created a great experience for many of our younger scouts. The pictures were great, and the staff at the exhibits were kind and welcome to explain any questions we had. The connection to the younger scouts was vital to their experience, and the people there helped provide it. I couldn't be more thankful for the great experience, and I loved the sheer amount of things at the museum.

It is amazing museum, has large collection of WWI and WWII air craft and few artillery. Many amazing historical aircraft, nicely staged, maintained. Many historical bombs, missile and anti aircraft artilleries. Aircrafts are restored and we'll arranged with historical artifacts.

This is a wonderful aircraft museum where you can see the aircraft on exhibit up close and personal. You can even board and walk through the Boeing jet that was Air Force One for Kennedy through Reagan. You can see a lot in 2 or 3 hours, if you're just passing nearby on a road trip. But there's days worth of things to see if you live close enough to visit more frequently.

This was awesome! My son loved all the different planes and rockets. He got to sit in a fighter jet cockpit and "fly" it. They also had a space shuttle flight simulator where you can try to land the shuttle as well as some computer games you can play on the wall. Definitely going back!

It is one of the best places I have ever visited. I went there without much expectations though I got to know from friends that it takes few hours of time to look around. This museum has so much to offer. It gives you detailed idea about inception and rise of aviation industry since more than a century. What is the role played by Aeroplanes, jetplanes and etc. in World war 1 and 2.

There are more than 6 divisions in the entire museum. The first 2 being for both the world wars. You can find the details about how the war started, who were heading which departments, the background behind the war, the war slogans, the uniforms, the news articles, original engines, original aircrafts, original objects and weapons used by them. Next division is about the later growth of aviation and aeronautical industry in 1960s at the vietnam war and cold wars. Then being, the missiles section and NASA section.

All the divisions are well maintained with security, infrastructure, air conditioning, etc. There are restrooms at every walking passage. There are also stores with lot of shopping things. We have ordered for Dog Tags which costs $7.52 including tax.

One who wants to know the history of aeronautics, US, world wars, Air force, this place is one stop for it. I have clicked around 300 photos, but still I dint captured half of the objects in the museum. There are some replicas created of planes and there are other planes which are original and vintage. You can walk through some of the fighter planes.

Also, there is Virtual Reality experience offered in the last division where you can find NASA and astronauts related objects.

I dont think a 10,000 word review is sufficient to write about my experience here. Whether you are a passionate engineer or a regular goer who likes to visit new places, I would say this place is must.

Hands down the best aviation museum in the country, if you have even the slightest interest in airplanes or military history you'll want to plan on spending the entire day here. The collection covers airplanes from the beginning of the history of flight until the modern day and the complimentary exhibits are both fascinating and educational. The place can definitely get a little crowded, and as such I recommend getting there early, but even in the crowds it is a trip very much so worth making for the whole family.

The museum was excellent and is free. It is very large and we did not get through it in one day. They have amazing pictures from the 1st and 2nd world wars. We did not get to the Vietnam and Korean exhibits. It depends on how much reading you want to do of the exhibits. They had info on the dev of airplanes which was interesting.

I've gone to The Air Force Museum to many times to count.
They have some displays that I remember from the 1970s. There are constant changes and updates to the museum. The place is huge. They have I max theaters. A super cool but expensive gift shop.
They have all types of aviation related material. They have video displays that go with different topics and aviation history. They have some hands on displays. If you walk the tour as it is set up. From earliest aviation to most modern. The tour would take a full day.
Some things are outside. There is a nice picnic area. I would say more but I don't want to spoil anything.

Great place for all lovers of planes, ranging from the early beginning, the Wright bros first flight, to the latest stealth planes. Huge premises: it needs several days to see everything properly

On our way home from vacation a few years ago, saw the sign and stopped. We were all blown away. It's an amazing place and we should have made it our vacation destination. We could have spent days there.

We have visited this place many times. In the last 15 years they have made many changes for the better. Years ago you had to take a shuttle to see larger planes. Now, everything Is in one building arranged in a linear time line. Lots of resting places to sit. 2 cafes. Great gift shop.

The museum is fantastic and admission is free! There is ample parking but, you may have to walk a little if the museum is busy.
The museum is divided into galleries each connected by a central hallway. Each gallery is devoted to a particular historical period, beginning with World War 1.
The galleries contain aircraft, equipment, uniforms and informational displays and videos explaining the items on display. There are also informational displays on historically significant or interesting persons from the time period in question. There are also some aircraft on display outside of the galleries and there is a memorial park outside of the museum, dedicated to US Airforce personnel.
Museum personnel provide free tours of each gallery and the time and gallery location are announced on a loudspeaker prior to the start of the tour.
The majority of the items on display are military equipment but, in the last gallery are the planes (former Air Force Ones) used by past US Presidents and you can walk through the aircraft interiors.
There is no food or drink allowed inside the museum, but there is a cafeteria at the rear of the museum. None of the items purchased at the cafeteria may be brought into the museum. There is also an extensive gift shop at the museum entrance.
