Awesome place to visit. So much to see. Great for individuals, couples, and families.
I have visited this museum multiple times, since childhood. They have continued to expand, and improve, throughout the years. I would highly recommend this museum to any and all who enjoy history, aircraft, and/or science.
Amazing place. Too much to read/see in 1 day. Bring your walking shoes, hangars are bigger than they look.
Lots to see. Something new to see every time we go.
had a great time, many places to rest along the way the food was ridiculously expensive but a really nice cashier gave us great tips on choosing wisely for a better deal
Great place to view the history of aviation. The movies are amazing too.
Simply superb, very friendly and helpful staff. Seeing it all makes a day flash by, if you want to take it all in i'd recommend two days for the aviation buffs. Once you see that yb-70, you'll fall in love.
Free admission and almost any aircraft you've ever heard of. Don't forget to look up to find more exhibits in the ceiling.
Amazing display of aircraft. It's hard to overstate how great and unique this museum is. If you love airplanes, history, or the military, you owe it to yourself to check it out. It doesn't cost anything to walk in (so thank a tax payer if you happen to go!)
A lot of interesting things to see, from many interesting time periods.
The most incredible museum I have ever visited. Over 300 planes. This is a must visit place when in Dayton. So much history. It can easily take two or three days to honestly read and absorb the information here. You have to start from the last hanger and work your way forward. I love it. It has so many volunteers. Thank you all.
So much to see there you need a whole day. I've always seen it from the highway passing through and thought I'd give it a try. Several massive hangars full of unique and historical aircraft, some you can walk through. Simulators for the kids and activities cost extra, but all the exhibits are free. Also a plus for electric car users there are a few free chargers in the parking lot. A must see!
Lots to see. Staff and volunteers were helpful. Many of the walk through experiences were closed due to Covid but still very enjoyable.
Always enjoy walking through the museum. The aircraft are amazing as are the other displays.
Best free museum I've been to. Great volunteer base and more information than you can read in a day
It covers avaition from the beginning through the latest aircraft. The WWIi exhibit is informative. We loved the interaction experience with the histopads. Plan two or three days to experience this museum.
Plan to spend your entire day here, as it is HUGE. Contains some absolutely fantastic pieces of history, everyone should try to go at least once.
One of my favorite museums, They just get better every time I go there.
Great place. Nice gift shop and the employees are wonderful
If I had a question, they would try to answer it.
If you love history and airplanes, this is a place for you. This was an interesting place to visit for all ages. There's lots of walking so bring your stroller and/or wheelchair. You can walk inside some of the presidential planes. If you are clastraphobic, don't do it.
No entry fee, yet the amount of history that is preserved at the museum is amazing. Anyone interested in aeronautics should visit this museum.
Great museum to visit. Thoroughly enjoyed the new Enola Gay exhibit.
This place is huge. Really huge. We rushed through in over 4 hours.
One of the best museums in the USA. Great for kids to look and experience, adults get the same but also the reading is very informative.
Lots to look at. Many activities for kids. Cafe inside to relax and refuel.
Free entry, and more displays than you could hope to see in a day.
Great place to visit if you like aircraft and aviation history. And visiting the museum is free!
Huge museum with an amazing amount of exhibits. You can literally spend 2 days reading all the information and enjoying the planes in display. The free tours add even more information.
Absolutely amazing. Wonderful photo ops. The history and innovation ....just spectacular.
Great place to spend a day with family and friends. The museum is huge so make sure you make meeting plans and schedules else you will get separated from your group. The number and types of exhibits impressed me as I had no idea so many different types of aircraft had been made over the years. The information plaques they have help give the story behind each aircraft. Start in the presidential hanger as its the furthest away and work you way back out. That way when you get tired you don't have such a long walk back to the entry hall. Chairs and seating area's were present to allow you to site and relax / rest. Will have to go back again as we only saw about 25 percent of it in the 4 hours we were there. Walked over 2 miles in that time inside the hangers.
The best. Airforce museum in the world.... simply amazing
This place is awesome. Wright fliers, WW I, WW II, Cold War planes. Space Shuttle, XB-70, SR-71 and YF-12, B-2, F-135, more stealth planes, F-85 Goblin (google it), ICBMs. They even have a real live flying saucer. I had to skip the Air Force One exhibit entirely. Plan to spend a day (or several) exploring.
The entire history of the AF and aviation, free admission, lots of audio-visual, one of almost every airframe, including bombers, fighters, transport air, a space and missile exhibit with a Minuteman II launch control center simulator, gift shop, etc.
Had a great time with my wife, would highly recommend the tour guide
This is an amazing museum. Pretty much inpossible to see in one outing. If you're into military aircraft and engines it's a must see. My favorite section is the cold war hangar. It's just amazing the stuff we accomplished.

Awesome place... plan on spending the entire day there is a lot to see.
Liked that the museum is layed out in sections by years. Was fun to review the planes and memomibilia from the time father flew
If you have any interest in aircraft or military history you must visit this museum.
Great educational experience for the masses lot's of neat

Amazing. Words can't describe how cool this place is
Some planes are overwheminling big. Would go again if have the chance
This is the best hidden gem of Dayton Ohio. It is free to the public, great for kids due to it having food and LOTS of space. The facility is always clean, staffed appropriately with knowledge people. Thank you for being there dor the Dayton community!
Amazing facility with something for anyone interested in aviation and aerospace.
A wonderful places to go see are nations military and NASA items and plenty of history to learn
This place is enourmous! It has four huge hangers full of planes and exhibits. We spent an hour and a half and didn't even see half of it. Plan on 3-4 hours if you really want to get the full experience. And free admission too. Absolutely incredible!
Absolutely one of the most educational and enjoyable museums you could ever go to. My kids learned so much they don't teach on school and enjoyed the entire place. The museum is free and if you live in Ohio you would be crazy not to visit this national treasure
So much to see & read. Amazing experience for the whole family. You'll need at least two days to see it all.
If you come to Kettering this is a must see place, and free to enter.
Great exhibits, all pristine down through the wars. Loads to walk around to see.
Space ships great, made my day.
Best and last to go on an American president s plane Air force One and it was President Kennedy's...awesome.
Extraordinary collection of everything in aviation. From blimps and Wright Brother's bicycles & planes to space craft. Possible to spend days here!!
Most of the guides was very helpful, the food employee's was rude and the food sucks. Basically the first part of building was good, and then that's about it.
My F4 that I worked on is on display. Got a soft spot in my heart for the museum.
Amazing experience. nice plc to learn and know abt planes from WW1-WW2.
Must see museum. Everything aviation! Free admission, tons of nearby hotels.
Neat place to go for a day trip,I would have given it a 5 star rating but the cafe was a bit underwhelming and over priced
This is an American experience of a lifetime. The history every child from every school in America should explore. So much to see. Hours of learning. A national treasure!
Loved it!! So cool!
More than just planes (but mostly planes)
Lots of great exhibits to look at. My son loves looking at the planes. Need some appreciation of history to truly enjoy everything they have to offer.
My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves looking at all the different airplane's:) Also check me out on YouTube at Queen Mary: In My Life:)
This is wonderful place to visit! Good exercise since there is a lot of walking
It's full of jets and the f-22 simulator is pretty great, though expensive.
My words can never express how incredible the National Museum of the United States Air Force really is and I'm not just speaking of the inside exhibits but the grounds around the buildings which with there memorials that together with the inside exhibits tell the history of the United States Air Force. If you want to be inspired and awed by the history of one of our Armed Forces come here to Dayton,Ohio and spend a week and see it all you will not be disappointed. These pictures are but a fraction of what awaits you.
Awesome place very informative and the staff are great.
Very nice place. Total family fun. Starting from kids to elder people. Make sure you have a plenty of time to visit may be a day is enough. Parking can be a great challenge. They have big parking lot but they have large amount of crowd visit place each day. Staff was very cooperative and they have some simulator rides also. 360 degree simulator ride was total fun. Must visit place if you are in that area.
This place is amazing. There is so much to see give yourself two days. Had from 4 years old to 70 in my group and everyone had a great time.
Huge exhibit space. From hot air balloons to present.
This place is amazing i love all the planes and history behind all of them the only thing they need to work on is the food they provide my whole family got something different on the menu and we all got a small case of food poisoning but in all the trip was so worth it.
Great place for a family outing. FREE! FOR ALL. Lovely theatre, and food and drinks are inside!! Or bring your own!!
There is so much history here, you can visit for days and still only get through only a portion of the museum.
Guided tours and the gift shop are always fun, and I have always enjoyed every visit.
This place was absolutely amazing. There was so much history and so much to see. Plus you can't beat free parking and free admission.
If you like airplanes or if you are a genuine airplane junkie, this stop is worth any drive to get there. Four huge hangars! Chronological displays help to understand the history. Everything from the Wright flyer to Saturn rocket. Best of all admission is FREE and the staff is very helpful!
My kid's and I visit at least 4 times a year. There are almost always something new to observe. I Offten have teers in my eye's as i read some of the plaques. We just visited last weekend, and are looking forward to a visit in January 2017. If you have never been there, set aside some time to visit, you mite wanna bring along a tissue.
They've got some really cool exhibits including space shuttles! Don't bring food or drink (including water) or you'll have to walk all the way back to your car. Admission is free, but they want to make money on concessions.
