Unbelievable, I could easily spend a full day here, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, it's incredible to stand in front of some of the most famous aircraft in history, and to see aircraft like the stealth bombers in person, and then on top of that the staff are incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgable, one gentleman approached us to educate my family and I on one of the new transport planes, it turns out he was a pilot on one as well as flew a voodoo up to twice the height of commercial aircrafts cruising altitude, what a great moment to speak to someone who's been there and done that.

Highly recommend, I would plan on spending a full day possibly two to fully see and enjoy it all. Food was over priced and bland, I would suggest packing a lunch and having a picnic weather permitting.

You need more than one day to see it all. I barely got through the modern era the space gallery and the Cold War in one day. And they are expanding! Stay close by and take at least two days!

If you are into military, planes, jets, rockets, this is a must. Place is enormous, plan on spending the day if you are really into it. You could get out in a couple hours, but you'll miss so much.

The National Museum of the US Air Force is by far one of my favorite places to spend time when I'm in Ohio. With historic displays dating back before the Wright brothers and new technology like the Reaper hanging on display, there's more than enough to see and learn than anyone could really appreciate in a day. I've come back year after year and still find something new (or old) to love.

Really neat exhibits about World War 1 and 2, Vietnam War, Cold War, Modern day planes and even a Holocaust exhibit. Nice food at the cafe upstairs and a huge gift shop with tons of cool items. relatively cheap price for what you get to see, you get to go inside a couple of the planes and there is multiple cockpits you get to sit inside with all the buttons and everything. Fun for all ages

This place is awesome, although I a huge fan of planes. I went to visit 3 separate times while in Ohio to see everything. Very big, the volunteers are so sweet and helpful, I enjoyed the movies. They have a really cool space exhibit and flight simulators as well. They had an air show the last day I went. I really enjoyed it. Free to park and free to get in! Don't miss out, check it out!

Well worth the visit! Tour guides are excellent! Plan to spend the whole day here. I don't even care about planes but when you wall around the corner and see the ACTUAL Memphis Belle, it's hard not to be a fan. Again, can't say enough about the fantastic tour guides. They really made the experience so much better

First time back there in about a decade. I was blown away. For anyone who loves military or aviation history, this the place to go. Every aircraft there has some sort of historical significance. If you REALLY want to see everything, take two full days to see it. There is a hotel right across the road that s very convenient

First off its amazing all generations enjoy going and its FREE ADMISSION. The only thing u pay for is gift shop items and refreshments or the 3d ride.

My favorite area is going to the air planes u get to walk through its really amazing to see how technology has changed and learn about the history of our military forces. I love it.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This place is one of the places I dreamed of taking my son, even before he was born. I dreamed of carrying him on my shoulders, looking at the planes.

If you enjoy the National Air and Space Museum, you will love the Air Force Museum. Like the old Aberdeen Proving Grounds Ordinances Museum had about all the artillery, the Air Force museum has all the aircraft. Biplanes to ICBMs to towed targets.

There's excellent choices for where to eat, and where to sleep. Not that all are even acceptable (local Days Inn, roach motel).

If you have ever looked up into the sky with awe, and definitely if you have ever held a cyclic, collective, yoke, stick, or aircraft throttle this museum is a must see. The collection of former Air Force One aircraft is incredible. The spaceflight collection is a priceless part of our national and planetary heritage. The vintage warplanes can teach many future generations about the hard work required to preserve peace and security.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I want MORE! Have some more "hands on" displays for the kiddos, heck partner with COSI and have some little science and technology play areas. Land around it seems like the hood so should be pretty cheap for some investors to come in and renovate the area. This would be an awesome tourist destination if the area around it had more to offer. How about a airforce theme/water park? Like a mini Kings Island. Or an airforce themed dave and busters type establishment? I can see shops and hotels, unique ohio and Dayton produced products, restaurants, bars, a theater. Make this a weekend destination not just a daytrip for locals. We need more stuff to do here in Ohio! The Airforce Museum could be the unique corner stone needed to really build up the area. Plus great Highway access off a busy cross-country highway I-70.

I have been here over the years too many times to count! Include this on your next mini-trip, or even your next cross-country vacation -- it's FREE and a great way to fully appreciate all that manned flight has done for us and for the world.

Great Great Place to be there. Every flight enthusiast in the world must visit the National Museum of the US Airforce.

This Museum showcases warplanes as of their time of service, starting from the very beginning. The area is divided on the basis of era like initial days of flight, WW1 era, WW2, Cold War era and modern days planes.

There are fighter planes, bombers , very few choppers , latest UAVs are at display. Small section is dedicated to space exploration.

I would recommend to take good camera with you. There are attractions for kids.

Souvenirs are beautiful but some are quite expensive. But don t forget to grab some.

This is by far the best aerospace museum in the us. There are more exhibits and real airplanes than anywhere else I have ever seen. It's better than the one at Washington DC. No others come close

Absolutely a fantastic place to visit. The Museum is so large you need the whole day to see it. It took me a day and a half because I wanted to see the D Day services. You will be amazed at the size of the aircraft inside. There was a B-52, a space shuttle, retired Air Force Ones, not to mention all the Fighter aircraft. It is a must see Museum.

If you love airplanes, there is no better museum, period. The collection is mind-boggling, and features what seems like every US military airplane ever flown (OK, not every cargo plane, but you get the idea...) They also have a nice display and monument honoring the Berlin Airlift. It's definitely worth the trip.

For the Avgeeks this place is like a religious pilgrimage - I have made the trek from the east coast 3 times now and its like a kid at Christmas... This past June, I spent 3 full 9-5 days shooting over 4100 pictures with a fellow avgeek and we are already planning our return!
