Very nice place. Traditional Polish food, we enjoyed a lot. Live music -evergreens - added a nice touch to the atmosphere. A bit noisy and service could have been a bit quicker. Warm recommendation.
Great Polish cuisine and a friendly staff. We will be back !!!
We returned such service with a candle to look all over Warsaw and the food .... Even yummy !!!! I recommend veal liver to lick your fingers
Meringue for dessert.
We'll be reporting again next week!
Food average, portions very small, service not very nice.
This is something brilliant. Greetings ladies and gentlemen.
Probably one of the best all-around restaurants i have ever visited. The service was excellent and the food of amazing quality (the steak tartare is not to be missed). I was in Warsaw for three nights and i dined there twice!
2nd time I visited this establishment - and I was shocked to see the negative difference between the first and this visit.
Chain is judged by its weakest link, voila my feedback
Sunday evening, middle of July. Restaurant empty. Tartar not available ("meat was not up to our expectation, so we sent it to the supplier"). No famous presentation. No atmosphere either.. only a wish to leave ASAP.
Will not return. Not until Mr Gessler acts with an improvement.
Very poor service, tiny portions. Triumph of form over content!
Fresh and delicious foods cozy atmosphere and friendly staff
Service a bit pushy to accelerate the eating , but definitely good food and service overall.
Everything was very good except dessert that wasn't enough for everyone.
Shocker. Of the approximately 30 restaurants we have visited as part of the restaurant week in the last few years, this restaurant occupies position 29. Food quality unacceptable, poor service.
Top location for a great Polish dinner with fantastic food and dishes being prepared freshly at your table. A really nice experience!!
A great place with an atmosphere, live music, dishes served individually. The card is very short, but there is something for everyone. Waiter service at the highest level.
Very good kitchen, funny waiters. A little loud, the buzz of conversation, the pianist. A good place for feasting rather than for lyrical meetings
Delicious food: great veal liver with apples, exotic and fresh fish soup. Charming service, allowing you to feel at home. We will definitely be back!
Was quite disappointed to find that the owner had given away our days-ahead-reserved table. We had been on a "tour" of the restaurant to choose the table suitable for our occation, so to find it occupied by others kind of ruined it.
The tartare was made next to the table - a plus. Well tasting. The sturgeon ok. The deer in armagnac - deer perfectly cooked and the beets was amazing. But in general the food was quite bland.
What I did not expect to see at a Michelin recommended restaurant is a waiter dropping a rye bread loaf on the floor and then put it back in the basket to be used again. Also saw unused bread taken back from tables being thrown in the serving tray to be used again.
When confronted both in regards of the table and the hygiene - totally nonchalant from both waiter and manager.
Will not come again or recommend.
Addition. Open kichen as it is I observe a head waither with a dirty towel over his shoulder in the kitchen handeling foodprepping with his arms filled with ribbon (festival) bracelets. Not good as they are a health hazard. How Michelin has given this place an award twice in a row makes me curious on how it was possible.
The hygiene is most questionable.
On the positive side and the only one. The elderly gentleman working at the bar was absolutely adorable.
Very well !
Gladly again !
Tasty and not expensive, especially the PLN 25 dinner offer. First second and dessert. Yummy
Great food. Outstanding steak tartar lovingly prepared and excellent veal for main. You can tell they really take pride in the food. Excellent service too.
What a place .. Luxury local, good service, high quality food and good price.
The kitchen is in sight and then you can see live how they do everything.
Good atmosphere of people. It shows that it is a place to be seen.
They recommended the steak tartare and didn't fail. This is great but the cook also makes it to you next to the table! .. Come on, don't ask for anything other than this. What a lujazo.
The rest looks good. They also bring a bread spread and if you ask for water they bring you a jar.
Price? .. Steak tartare and a second for zx to change.
A bargain 100% recommended if you want to eat and look good on a visit to Warsaw. You will not fail.
To put a but does not have WiFi for customers. But with this meal it doesn't matter at all!
For me, the best tartare in Warsaw. I have eaten several times and have never been disappointed. The price is not low, but it is not a place for a daily dinner. I did not try other dishes but looking at the tables of the neighbors also looked tasty.
Great atmosphere, a friendly staff, excellent menu. I spent a very nice afternoon here.
Unfortunately the owner and boss have changed, menu with food photos, expensive and not very tasty. Sorry, it was one of your favorite restaurants.
Such a mix of feelings - on the one hand, the service in the form of these older people is totally adorable and the piano makes the atmosphere. And on the other: 40 zlotys for three tablespoons of meat (correctly tasting), paid water as if it was with bourbon and bread put up immediately, for which you have to pay. For example, I do not know what to eat bread for ordering dinner. But the pub arouses emotions and this is the most interesting;)
Disaster ... we stood almost 10 minutes in the entrance ... no interest ...
service just pity to write ...
after drinking a beer of juice, we found that the next hour we will not wait ...
being a witness how an inexperienced waiter throws an hour with a duck cut for the table next to her, giving her cold we gave up ... another experienced waiter understood the situation not to pay even for drinks ... crap crap
even in the toilet instead of towels they serve a lot of gray paper ... and no soap ..
I could still describe a few not nice situations but it's a shame to write. ..
run as far as possible :)
In a word - EXCELLENT! From service to food, it was an unforgettable evening.
Excellent dinner, typical and refined dishes, tartare made at the time in front of the table.
Very good desserts
Perfect service.
Advantageous price for euro.
Delicious food and friendly service, what more could you want :)
I would give this restaurant six stars if I could. One of Warsaw's best restaurants, particularly when Pan Gessler himself visits your table. The service here is peerless.
I definitely recommend it. The food was very tasty, a larger group received it simultaneously. Traditional flavors plus very professional service.
Stained tablecloths, no napkins, terrible service, and food very average.
The climate is specific, the service quite slow, but the food is great. Especially lunch - price / quality great

It may be a place with good food but in the case of several events organized there at the same time (communion) the service is not good. My son got a cream soup in which a rubber band floated, and from the threshold although it was ordered for a specific hour we found empty tables. Only I sat down, the service began to cover the table and for deception the decanters with water were set up ... Generally, the dishes are served straight from the pot on the plate and there is no question about it simply there is nothing on the tables. We had to ask for coffee several times. Everyone ate the cake and the coffee was still lacking. Bad organization is not worth the price
Tasty, inexpensive, great atmosphere, friendly service.
It's not the cheapest. Food dobre.Nastroj this place somehow speaks to me. Sometimes there is chaos
We visited this restaurant today for evening dining, we reserved it in advance just incase. When we arrived it wasnt busy. We were politely taken to our table. However from there on it was an absolute shambles. The menu was short but not very descriptive at all. When the food arrived we were shocked at the abrupt serving technique as they bring a trolly with burners to the table. They just slapped the food down as if its a comical prison restaurant. To our surprise the then got my other halfs order wrong and accused him of changing the order. We stated that this is not the case you must gave mixed your orders. They left half off the foid on the table and expected to leave it there till the other order was done. The waiter was awful. In the restaurant industry its normal to be gentle with plates and serving techniques, however they plonked it on the plate and all over the white table cloth. I called the manager and told him.. what are you doing here there are too many issues? He didnt even apologise and just said okay. The chairs were dirty, the pillar next to the table was damaged on the corner and was actually quite dangerous as there was sharp bit sticking out and this caught my cashmere jumper completely ruining the yarn. Moreover there was no service at all which was quite shocking on the basis its a restaurant not a fastfood takeaway. The sparkling water was not mineral water but a bottle refilled by a carbonator in a tedious reusable bottle. However they charged for it eventhough it was a cheat. From a restaurant like this we expected fresh bottles. The food was just not right at all quite horrific actually and yes served in plates that were given to us with water on them not even bothered to dry! We've been to many fine restaurants however this took the gauntlet for being the worst in Warsaw. We've never not given a tip to a restaurant even if it lacked in a few ways however we didnt leave any tip here at all because it was not a good experience all the way through, non existent service and food that needs more improvement to it than just serving it on a trolly. Not impressed. Will not recommend. Will not advise to go even on the off chance. Dont really like writing reviews but these guys were just lazy and lax not good enough for fine dining in anyway. We apologise that we have put a negative review but the need was really there for it.
they had a very tasty lunch taking a complex lunch for some reason, the host himself served us, as it seemed to us, proudly and beautifully put dishes in each one right at the table and the first and then the second. They don t have WiFi, and this is the principal position of the host, as the waitress explained to us in Russian, so that people come to eat and chat, feeling the taste, not sitting in the phones
Very authentic polish experience, you either appreciate it and love it or you dislike it. If you're looking for delicious food and a true special experience in Poland visit this restaurant. Be open, curious and remember that you're in a foreign country/city, Polish politeness can be lost in translation sometimes.
Delicious duck and excellent service, and it should be ahead of your needs.
The tartare is actually good as everyone says, but in my opinion 40 zlotys for three teaspoons of meat is not an adequate price
Kitchen ok, but waiter service leaves much to be desired. After informing the waiter about the lack of cutlery, he collected them with a handful from the next table and threw it on the table in front of me. We were a group, dishes were confused and served not to the people you need.
Food was good but the service was the worst I have experienced in my life. First waitress knocked down the glass full of cava on me and all over the table. Then after saying briefly sorry she just dissapeared serving other clients while we were standing there and waiting for tissue or anyone to bring something to dry and also it took another 5 min to bring another glass.. We had to ask deliberately for new tissue, also to cover the soaked cloth on a table because they did not even check. They were impolite, the main waiter and waitress and also the cook who served the food. No smile, no bother about the guests. They were even impolite towards each other and disrespectful for the guests. I was asked for the dessert and that it could be a compensation for the event but we did not wanted to stay any longer so there was no compensation at all on the bill. Really bad experience.
We do not expect miracles, the quality of dishes is almost cross-linked
The best duck I've had in my life! Nice atmosphere, sometimes with live piano music, prices a little bit higher than other places but the restaurant is one of the best.
If someone tells you they have eaten a better duck in Warsaw than here, they are liing :)
The restaurant has its own climate and a good menu.
Great place on the culinary map of Warsaw. Excellent specialties, service like from the wonderful 1930s. recommend
The place's own atmosphere resembles a pre-war restaurant - from stains on the tablecloths to waiters that have never been seen anywhere else. If someone does not understand it, he will not like it. Typically Polish food, very good, restaurant loved by my foreign friends.
