Been to the big easy in Canary wharf which I loved, however the one in Covent garden had a more relaxed vibe with live music it fit perfectly, very good service, the lobster and ribs are simply amazing! And of course the cocktails you just can't beat would highly recommend

Whenever there s lobster mac and cheese on the menu, I get it! It was quite rich and had nice chunks of lobster in it. Fries were meh, beer selection was solid and the menu deal including a beer was a nice option! Definitely better than the options nearby

Food was decent, but the Mac and cheese for me was bad, super oily maybe its the way its made, but wasn't for me, also they gave me the wrong order and tried to overcharge me for it. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPT

Good American barbecue. All drowned in excellent barbecue sauce and good quality meat compared to cetene in London. Definitely fresh and well cooked lobster. Fast service around 19:00 full club and nice live music. They have a lot of dishes and menus. Very convincing. Next time I come back to try something else. Bathrooms ok but without soap !!!

The service from the reception was poor, food was poor, waiter was good, the guy with the long black hair..Before i begin this review...Who the hell is the blond girl working at reception, she was so rude and needs to be urgently retrained, you should smile and be helpful to customers no matter what kind of night you are having!...
Well lets begin...I told her we had a booking at 9.45pm via Opentable, after staring aimlessly at the computer she couldn't find the booking, then asked if we had an email confirmation, as i was reaching for it, she miraculously found the booking, then she told us to wait there, then i asked where by the bar, she said just here with no definitive answer..It took 30 mins for them to find a table even though i had a booking at 9.45pm. Eventually they gave us a table by the sink upstairs, when there where plenty of other tables downstairs and around the restaurant. Then i requested to speak to the manager and told him we were not sitting there to find another table, his reply was all the other tables were dirty and they needed cleaning then i said get them cleaned then! Its an absolute joke of a service in this restaurant...lol

Now over to the food and drinks.....we ordered some bbq wings, brisket, tex mex steak and half a lobster..We finished our starters before the drinks arrived not great. The mains arrrived, they were so bland, dry and tasteless i was not impressed at all. The steak had not been seasoned in my opinion. Brisket was passable but not a patch on your competitors Bodeans!
Over to half lobster or should i say quarter lobster at least that was how it arrived, even the waiter apologised for the lobster and brought out an additional half lobster in order to curb my dissatisfaction... To summarise Big Easy Covent Garden is a laboured, poorly serviced and chaotic restaurant thats not worth money. You are better off going to other places like Bodeans or perhaps trying the Kings Rd branch, as the service at Covent Garden branch does not seem to be on par..What shame.

Over rated. There's more salad than lobster in the lobster roll. The chips "fries" were mushy. They didn't bring knives and forks. They forgot one water. We had to ask for salt and pepper which we needed.

The Lynchburg lemonade with whiskey and the one with vodka tasted the same, and it wasn't alcohol.

They messed up the orders at the tables around us.

It would be a lot easier if the staff understood and spoke English better.

I'm giving it a 2 because I ate it. I was hungry. Now I'm hangry.

Don't go "American" in Britain.

Cheerio. Ta ta.

The food was okey. But the service.... We waited 25 min just for 2 starters to be served. Shrimp cocktail and pork ribs. Then for the mains we wait another half an hour.... It seemed the waited was not motivated and bored of his job. At the end of the service i ordered a cocktail and i took 12 min more... Bad experience. I won't come back.

Visited with friends at the weekend and I'm afraid to say I wasn't very impressed. Firstly, it was so stiflingly hot in there with no ventilation (I get it, it's underground, but a few air conditioners wouldn't have gone amiss!). The tables were really close and the chairs were too high for the tables which altogether made it a really uncomfortable experience!

Overall, we were less than impressed and vowed to stick to our usual BBQ restaurant in future. Sorry!

We went there with our US friends for the thanksgiving dinner. Before dinner we had to try their selection of whisky at a really good price. We even joked with the bartender that they are giving it away for free. Not always you have a chance to drink 18 yo Japanese whiskey for 6 pounds. When it comes to the dinner - turkey was rwally great, as well as green beans casserole and stuffing. Initially I was disappointed with the portions but all in all I left full. Recommend.

I came to this restaurant 3 times. A disaster all of the times. The first time the drinks arrived 10 minutes after the main that took 45 min.
The second time the main took 1:20 mim and drinks an average of 30 min after it was ordered. I thought they were producing the wine in the house, that is not the case because the wine was from New Zealand.
The third time my food took longer then the other 4 people who came with me. Having in mind that I ordered a burger thinking that this is the easiest food to be cooked. No! Their recipe seems so complex that I think they kill their cow in their kitchen, my burger never arrived and I canceled my order after 40 minutes and my friends already had half of their meal.
It's up to you where you eat.

Was really disappointed with my experience at this particular big easy branch near Covent Gardens. Loved the starter I ordered which was the fried voodoo shrimp with the blue cheese dripping sauce. My friend ordered the pit-smoked bar.BQ Chicken. Sounded delightful on the menu but ended up being cold by the time it arrived at our table, so I shared my starter with him.

For the main dish we ordered one of their daily deals to share which on a Monday it's the "... limitless bar.b.q 2 pint stein of big easy brew"
I asked for Mac 'n' Cheese to be added to my order which they forgot to bring out, so whilst all the food had cooled down the mac 'n' Cheese was piping hot!

The meal comes with cornbread which was too dry it was defiantly stale which was a let down. The ribs we got where too fatty and barely had any meat, This may have been down to a bad choice on my part had I known before I would have opted for their seafood which I would normally go for. (I just wanted to try something different this time)

I would have left zero stars if they hadn't knocked some money off.

I've had many experiences with Big Easy and none have been bad, so when I booked a meal for Thanksgiving last week I didn't expect to have any problems.

We arrived for our table at 8.45, though were not seated until 10.30, we understood they had a slight delay as we were told when we came into the building, however every time we asked, the staff said it would be a couple of minutes. They did give us some drinks on the house to say sorry which I appreciated and carried on with the night.

The starters came by 11.15pm and where great, though the Thanksgiving Main course was a half arsed attempt. They had obviously run out of food and decided to skip the sweet potato mash and give us a bowl of mushroom soup on the side as the green bean casserole. There were two portions between 6 of us, and only enough food for four people. The food was just to say warm..

We then complained which isn't something I usually do due to the fact the waiters did not care. When asked for management 15 minutes later I heard someone shout, "yes?" to find the manager had finally come to see us.

We eventually got to leave at 12.15pm, the staff were already tidying up and the till being counted. My girlfriends American which is why we wanted to do something nice for Thanksgiving, though this was not a good experience to be polite.

They did knock some money off the bill and apologised with a bottle, which again I appreciated. Though once we left the restaurant was when the real hell started.

4 of the party came down with stomach problems and vomiting, we can only think it was down to one of the portions of Turkey we had as all four shared one of the plates. The illness lasted for two days and people needed to take time off work.

Overall a terrible experience from a chain I have always loved, though I will not be returning.

The reason I have given a star is down to the fact they did help with the overall cost of the meal, though its the first time I would have expected a restaurant to give us the meal for free.

Big Easy is always a good choice for food. It's delicious and the portions are huge.

Although the place looks nice, there is no direct light and you also have to venture through an underground labyrinth of corridors to get to the toilets.

We went for lunch. Our order was a mixed BBQ platter for 4 and 2 lobsters.

The lobster plates were reasonably good value for money, including beer and fries. My lobster was tasty and well cooked.

For dessert I had the apple cinnamon waffle. Amazing. It was so good.

Food arrived at different times, some stuff was missing, some of the food was cold, including the beans. Pretty poor really.

I would never go back. I would tell others to avoid.

Want better value for money, go to Bodean's, where the food is better and it's cheaper. Want even better quality BBQ, go to Pitt Cue Co.

This one-of-a-kind venue is an old renovated power plant that once fed the entire Covent Garden. The restaurant is unique in its kind and it is worth entering even just to see it.
The food ranges from the meat of each to the lobster, prawns, crab also served in combination. The beer is good and the atmosphere is really similar to some American places. A visit is worth!

Terrible. The music was so loud we couldn't talk. It only got worse when the live music started. They have speakers in the toilets so you don't have a second of break. I was ever so relieved when I crossed the path out

Heaven for meat eaters. Definitely not a place for be quick snack as you pass through, but for a meal that would keep you satiated for the next few hours, depending on how much you eat in the first place. The portions are substantial and the meats unquestionable smoked and tasty. It is popular and most tables were occupied when I visited, but book if you want to guaranty entry. Eat well or pop in for a drink you won't be disapponited. Enjoy.
