Tyfoon Restaurants - Big Easy & Clos Maggiore Review

Amazing food, super busy so would recommend making a reservation. We sat at the bar, which was good, but a little uncomfortable.

It's ok. Over priced for what it is and the music was so loud the staff couldn't hear what we were saying to them. It's a restaurant not a club.

When I first heard of big easy I thought this was going to be a tasteful fish restaurant with an American vibe. I ordered the lobster bake in the garlic sauce which was accompanied by crab claws, potatoes and shrimp. The food took about 20-30 min to arrive at the table. Presentation was alright, however for the meal the me and my friend ordered the table was a bit small to fit all our plates on it. The food looked wonderful but the food tasted bland all I could really taste was the garlic out powering everything, even the potatoes tasted like garlic. The fish you could tell was good quality but it lacked flavour.

Portions big, prices high, level of satasfaction high. Vegatarians please stay away, your hay and grass has been eaten the cows and pigs that ended up on my table. Ribs were amazong, chicken almost like in nandos, cant ask for more. Also they have nice selections of american beers and ales. Definitely worth a visit. Oh on a negative side, walking to the gents loo takes forever

Good food and a good experience, have been a few times now.

This is one of my favourite places in London. The new location in Covent Garden has all the Chelsea favourites but feels more NYC than Louisiana. Lobster festival is always a life win as as the margaritas. You really can't go wrong here.

Fantastic BBQ food and great atmosphere. 12.5% tip added to the bill is cheeky and unnecessary, most will tip voluntary. Overall a good experience and would go again.

Bar and resto serving up lots of pork, beef, chicken and seafood - we went on a Tuesday for their unlimited jumbo shrimp and we were completely & totally stuff afterward! The food, as always, was excellent, the cocktails were a tad on the pricey side, but were also very good and we would recommend going there but we book in advance just to be sure we're not waiting for a table, as the place gets BUSY!!!

Amazing food. Staff we're super friendly. Great happy hours. What more could you want?! The only criticism is the distance to get to the toilets but it's worth it!

The space around the table was very tide. The dishes which were supposed to be spicy were not but the ones that were supposed to be NOT spicy were spicy. Quite expensive for the quality of the food.

Very expensive place. We usually eat out a lot and to be charged table service which was appalling I argued the fee. Orderd ribs and there was no taste to them. Complained about them and was told they were fine.
We are mystery shoppers. And this has failed the test. Wouldn't reccomend this place but each to their own. Nearly 100pound for 2 drinks and a steak and some ribs which a small percentage was deducted.

Their lobster is fantastic, the ambience of the place is vibrant and well lit. The staff are very friendly as well. Quite expensive, but its worth it.

The three stars are for the value for money for half a lobster, fries and salad and the friendly service. Came for brunch.
The brunch deal includes a bottle of fizz or a pitcher of mojito per person! Yes that's right, per person. However, the fizz was a "prosecco blend" , watery and sweet - not even the lambrini of proseccos, it didn't even say prosecco on the bottle. The mojito was a jug of pre-mixed slushie with a whole bunch of fresh mint thrown in. I would have preffered a glass or two of better quality drink than a bucket load of unbranded whatever it was.

Very busy place. Good vibe and staff very efficient. The food is simply delicious and mouthwatering. Fresh lobster meat is one of their highlights. Live music also available sometimes. Quick service. Good portion for the price. Definitely recommended if you love seafood. No regrets.

Nice Thanksgiving dinner, a bit loud, but I guess part of the experience.

Had quite a poor meal here. I eat alot of ribs and the ribs that came out were extremely fatty. They said because this is because it's St.Louis cut but that shouldn't meat you bite into a rib with no meat all fat.

Complained about this and they didn't offer to replace meal with something else or anything. Poor.

Will only go to Big Easy on King's Road which is alot better.

Booking is mandatory at big easy ! Very good ambiance, a little bit noisy but very well decorated. Great choice of bourbons and whisky. The menu is centered around meat and lobster, don't go in for anything else. Be prepared to eat a lot, but everything is tasty, cooked as it should be and smoked daily.

Amazing food great atmospher! Came as a group of 9. 2 meals came late but i think we were just unlucky as the service is very good. Staff is great. Manager apologised and reduced the bill and offered all ice cream. Great place to go. Not for family with young ones though as quite noisy.

Amazing place

Stick to the big meat platters, this place is all about size. I started with the voodoo chicken wings which were lukewarm, the mac and cheese as a side to my main was disappointing but my steak was good, however, for the price, I'd go elsewhere in the future for steak.

Very tasty seafood platter. Sit downstairs if you can, the upstairs is very noisy and crowded with uncomfortable high seats, the downstairs is much more civilised. Drinks half-price early evening but you have to get up and order from the bar which is a bit weird. Food was great though.

Overall pretty good. Got a mix of things which included ribs, brisket pulled pork, Mac and cheese and beans. The ribs were top class with an extreme level of smoke and tender as hell. The however was very dry with no smoke flavour whatsoever and the pulled pork also didn t have any smoke flavour and was over seasoned with the dressing they use for the pork which was very salty. The Mac-cheese for damn awesome though, not dry and cakey like you get at other bbq places!

Overall the value for money is pretty good for a bbq place as we had 3 large servings of meats, plus a lot of sides for 50 gbps including a pint. All I say is get the ribs!

I come here specifically for the extreme choice of interesting whiskeys, exotic vodkas and other spirits! The food is also rather good.

Hideously expensive for what it is. Ridiculously noisy, could not hear a single word my dinner companions said.

Brisket was delicious. Just not enough of it. I can't give more than 3 stars to anyone that serves instant mashed potatoes. Just can't do it. You want an overall quality rating, serve quality food. Instant mash is not quality.

A lively and very busy restaurant, probably need to book if you require a table at a certain time,good menu selection and reasonable given the location,my only criticism was that the food we had was warm at best and not piping hot!
Would go back again!

Great place to eat little expensive but well worth the visit

We came because we thought we were getting bottomless brunch, as it is advertised, but it turned out to be 3 drinks each spread out over 2 hours as the service was very slow. We talked to another group who were in the restaurant at the same time and they said they got bottomless and had a great time.

I believe we drew the short straw on our visit because the service was very slow, staff unattentive and dismissive bar one person, mistakes in order, poor food, slow to bring drinks, and we had to ask for the bill about 5 times. The manager did her absolute best to make it right which nearly stopped me from writing this review, but based solely on the fact that we were completely conned out of having a bottomless experience I feel like this review is justified.
