The workers are nice and the floats are fine, but we waited over an hour for a shuttle, no one who worked there could tell us when the next shuttle would come. Why can't they just rent the tubes from Riverbend Park? It seemed like a huge hassle to have to be shuttled to the park and then be shuttled back to the park and float. Our hour float turned into a 2 1/2 experience in near 100 temps. I spent over $60 to rent 2 tubes. Next time I would just buy my own tubes and do it on my own.

Just buy your own floats and walk. It s cheaper and you ll save time too! This is a racket that s unnecessary while it s easy to figure out how to float the Deschutes river for anyone with a smart phone and a minimal level of physical capability (walking 2 miles).

They accept credit and debit cards. The process of getting a tube and dropping it off at the end of the float is very easy. In addition, they let my wife and I drop off the tube at the end of the float and skip the shuttle back to the park and float, since we did not drive to the park and float and were able to walk back to our place, instead. The float, itself, was enjoyable. The water was cold and it felt good since it was hot. There were a lot of people on the river but, most of the time, we were by ourselves, which was nice.

The float is great, and the staff try, but I ll never use this place again. For some reason, you now have to go to this location near McCay Park, wait 80 minutes or more for a shuttle to take you to the drop-off point, then float down, and then wait for another shuttle to take you back. It was waaaay better when you just picked up at Riverbend Park, which is where they take you anyway. Save your time and money, go buy a cheap tube from somewhere and use that, avoid the lines.

I m local and my first time P&F. Took some visiting fam. Kinda embarrassing. Too, too bad, this group is so inept at handling the crowd. The float is awesome, just the team here is overwhelmed, understaffed and poorly managed. 2 hours wait is worse than a theme park! The lady working said they knew it was going to be a busy day months back; duh! Need more staff and transportation. Really too bad.

This was my first time ever doing a river float! ...

This was my first time ever doing a river float! coming from hawaii, it's kind of an odd thing to do, but it seems popular, so we wanted to try it.

overall it was fairly well organized. we came mid July on a hot weekday afternoon at 2pm- we were really glad that it was 88 degrees out which was perfect, because the water is absolutely frigid! it feels like ice water, but they said the temp is in the 50s. your butt gets wet on the float (which is okay when it's hot out), and the tube is really huge so it's a little difficult to paddle yourself around, but we managed to do enough hand paddling to stay out of the weeds since the wind can blow you to the side. the "fish ladder" rapids get you WET totally. but that was very fun and some people were doing it again. the whole river cruise is perfect even for the water averse, since most of the waterway looked like it was no more than waist deep.

the "park and float" time from arriving there, riding shuttle and then into the water was about 30 minutes since it was popular today (the large bus holds about 50 people). it did seem to come every 15 minutes.

they do sell 50-60$ sandals or 25-35$ waterproof phone bags if you need it. I was worried about drinking water, but we did fine without, just a one hour float to midway and then we got out and walked back to the rental spot 2 blocks away which worked nicely. it's fantastic that they will hold your car keys for you, so you really don't need anything.

the staff was great and you play a little bumper cars on the river, but it was an enjoyable time for our group.

A great family experience, albeit an unnecessary one, but if you re looking for something to do in the old mill district while visiting Bend, this float rental place is a nice place for beginners, or those who don t have their own floats. I totally recommend doing this as a whole family. There are some river rapids that give a fun experience that you can repeat for as long as you d like, or one the little ones can skip if they are frightened. Again, totally recommend for beginners.

Float itself is fun, however the shuttle bus was disappointing. Today
while waiting for the bus to return us to our car we had an unfortunate experience. The line was long and the bus filled up. When It to got my turn to board I was told "sorry we are at max capacity, another bus will be here in 30 minutes." While frustrating, I totally understood. What happened next was the bus driver let the person behind me go ahead. There did not seem to be any reason why they would need to go before me, so I am not sure why I was bypassed. Do not know if this was discrimination or not, but I certainly will just walk or drive myself from now on.
