They are frantically trying to get as many family and friends set up with fraudulent claims that they cannot be bothered with any legitimate claims. Never in my life have I ever interacted with such lazy, pathetic and ignorant people. I am talking COMPLETELY WORTHLESS!

So how does this work? Just like everyone else, I start calling at 7:58am (it s already busy) and continues to ring busy through out the day. I simply need a password reset and the website told me I need to call. I have emailed a few people but received little Response.

I still get a busy tone whenever I call. I have been filing since 04/03/2020. My homepage displays no issues and I confirmed with my employer that there were no issues or delays on their end. I need to know the status of my claims.

I was ignorant and impatient and I apologize to NV DETR. I am changing my review to a 5 star. NV DETR has worked on my claims and resolved any issues on their end. Thank you.

ATTN: SUPERVISOR. I filed claim weeks ago. I received my card in mail, I do my weekly claims and NOTHING!!! I call every day NO LUCK. This is horrible I have 3 children, an no income. Come On !!!! Please Help!!!!!! Look into my claim and figure out what s holding up my benefits. What is next step? I wish I could just go back to work not to depend on this overwhelmed system.

My claim been under review since July 29. Spend 6 hours and 40 minutes on the phone waiting just for some lady to tell me that it was the wrong extension. She did transfer me to a busy number. It s a damn shame to treat people like this during the pandemic

Over 4 months sitting at the "pending status", finally received a phone interview 3 weeks ago. Still have not had any updates and the website says the same thing since I filed late March. This wouldn't be so bad if they just communicated with people. I have emailed several email addresses daily with no response. Called like everyone else! WE JUST NEED HELP AND THIS WAS WHAT IT WAS SET UP TO BE FOR US HARD WORKING AMERICANS AND NEVADA RESIDENTS. HELP!!

When I call and finally manage to get through to the automated system it says you can be placed on a call back list and yet when you get to the point of it saying the operators are busy it does not give you that option and just hangs up on you. Great management of a garbage system in the current time .

I called 784 time from 758am to 1004am. Each time the line was busy and only managed to get through 4 times. There's no way to vet to the queue part because all reps are busy (pretty sure that's the point of the queue. After approx. 2 hours the queue was magically full. This system makes no sense. Unfortunately going to try again later today.

I have been out of work since March 16th, I called every day until april finally got through and filed , now its dam there the end of may and nothing, I received my card paperwork saying I was approved but they still have my payment on hold , their system is bs af I dont understand how people like uber drivers and beauty salon workers can file and be successful but can't get the people going that has actually worked this is bs and I hate everything about Nevada, my uncle in California a uber driver filed after me twice and still got paid racks before me . I paid back the full amount of money I needed for being overpaid over 4 months ago, and they contacted me saying I need to pay it again. If they lost the check or mishandled it, that's their fault, not mine. I'm trying to contact their department, but I can't event get through. Useless and basically trying to rob me.

I have been calling for TWO MONTHS. I can NOT get through on these phone lines. All lines are busy and you only get an answer machine that says we don t have availability to take your call before closing and they hang up. I have been hung up on several times and during this Covid-19 crisis I know like many others experiencing hardship, it is very stressful not having access to unemployment. I m going to try to keep calling during business hours and hope I get through eventually. I can t even apply online as an existing user. The system is messed up.

If I could give this 0 starts I would, I ve already filed my claim, and received the card AND NOTHING!!!. I reviewed my claim and I saw what s holding up my payment. What do I do now? Probably the most unprofessional Ive had to person...

Probably the most unprofessional Ive had to personally deal with. I have heard of people having bad encounters with local government programs but this is embarrassingly bad. Move their phone number for support but don't set it up for a call waiting process. This caused them to not be able to handle the incoming call volume.

Whats worse, most of the issues that the phone calls are calling about could of simply been fixed by better website management and simply understanding of the pandemic. Have a whole city almost unemployed, maybe I should make some by passes for those people. Or maybe FULLY knowing that the most of the casinos are paying out their employees money for two weeks due to the pandemic, we should put a button on our weekly form for those claiming that money....

Instead of making it lock their entire pay out process making it to where they have to chain call for THREE WEEKS AND STILL NOT GET CONNECTED TO ANYONE. Causing them also to not have money for three weeks. Simple fixes would of made everyone's life better but common sense seemed to escape them.

Giving them one star is giving them too much credit. I was laid off from my full time job and applied for benefits immediately after on April 1, 2020. My claim was denied because they didn't have my earnings. I immediately filed an appeal and sent proof of my earnings by sending my paystubs. It is now October 12 and still haven't got anyone from DETR to acknowledge this proof and the last person I spoke to said I needed to send them again even though she could see them. So now they need proof of my proof. I have spent countless hours calling trying to get through to speak to a claim representative which is almost impossible. The three times I have gotten through, they have hung up on me and offered no assistance. The last one named "Bee" hung up on me because it was five minutes after her shift. I have been waiting 6 months and she is snapping at me because it's 5 minutes past her shift and she has to go and then released the call.

I have reached out to Susie Lee who is my State Representative, the Attorney General, the Governor, the Mayor, and did not get help from anyone except for a response that said "wish there was something I could do".

The election is coming up in three weeks and I will be voting for anyone new and anyone currently elected will not get my vote regardless of Rep. or Dem. For the governor to impose lockdowns that put 30% of us out of work and to do NOTHING but defend DETR and not do anything to compensate for the flood of unemployment claims that came in is why I won't be voting for him in 2022.

I have been a W-2 Employee as well as a 1099 Employee and I have never collected unemployment. I worked my last position for 20 weeks and made $30,000. I was let go from my job and I was denied unemployment. Every time I have filed I have been denied. Now our Governor shuts down the state and there are 300,00 filing for unemployment. I can't find a job I work as a 1099 in sales 100% commission and no one will spend money so that's worthless. But, I am sure when the new hires for unemployment are let go, they will collect unemployment. The system is broken, can we find someone competent to fix it PLEASE.

Our daughter filed for Nevada Unemployment in April. This is now September. She got a 4000 plus check on Sunday May 9 and on Monday the 10th they filed for reimbursement, claiming she was NOT owed the money. They made her file an appeal, which she did, and hasn't heard anything from them since. This is the worst public office ever!! We live in Utah and my husband was laid-off from his job. He applied for, and got, his unemployment with the extra $600, 2 weeks after he applied. What in hell is wrong with Nevada?

I give one star but would give zero if I could. Was out of work for two months due to the Covid situation and was told to apply for PUA. I was told I was qualified and months later all of a sudden I'm told to file for regular UI, along with thousands of other people which is highly unprofessional. As of now, it is virtually impossible to get through to regular UI on the phone. I filled out their information the best that I could and even sent a email to explain my situation (I'm back at work now and want paid for the time I was off, but it only asks questions as if you're still unemployed). Whats even worse is my wife is still waiting to be paid, and shes been waiting since around February!! There should be a Federal investigation of this organization and people punished. Theres no way this should be this disorganized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Opened my claim on line- the message said to call- that was March 23-it s now April 24 and I can t connect with anyone. 7:30-9:30am mon-fri only to hear the queue is filled for the day. With so much unemployment can t we hire people to answer the phone 24 hours a day/7 days a week? I emailed the Governor- also no response. While I agree with the shutdown I feel politicians have to remember who they work for. Any of our public servants having trouble with unemployment? This is not acceptable!

Like everyone one else I call daily, busy signal forever, then it goes through full for the day. I actually got through put my number in the queue for a call back at 7:30pm computer called me said this is your return call press 1 to speak to an agent then it said sorry we can't take your call please call back. OMG so frustrating. I have faxed, emailed, called what else can we do? DETR if you're lucky enough to get in the queue for a callback and you don't actually return the call with an agent wouldn't you think that person would be put in the queue for the next day eventually to be able to speak with a real person that might be able to help them.

As of 5/22/20, a fax was sent saying it had been 22 days since my aunt sent all requested information for her PUA after being denied UI for months. She has not heard a word back and numerous times has made up to 90 call attempts to resolve the holding pattern her claim is in. It says she qualifies for PUA and no other information is needed, yet she has received neither payout date nor pay. She has worked her whole life paying far more in taxes than most, yet is in limbo with no correspondence as to why, even after numerous emails and faxes. This is unacceptable, my husband and I filed later and already received ours. I plan to email and call anyone I can every day until her claim is paid!

They don t answer the phone and every number they do put out is like a joke because the lines are either busy or their queue is filled for the day like this is a joke. I ve never filed for unemployment but they make is so hard to ask any general question by not answering the phone. Maybe they should hire more people to help but this is insane.

So frustrated they need a better system I call everyday for the past month and a half always busy or right at 8 am the que is already filled up. Haven t received a letter a card nothing. I am out of resources to get a hold of somebody. Usually you get a letter and an interview but since this virus it s terrible trying to get a hold of someone. 10 weeks can t get a hold of anyone. Sat on hold several times for over an hour just to have it hand up on me. Don t they know they will create more homeless? I can t get any answers and issues are incorrect and can t correct them. Filed appeal on April 28th. Not one word from them. 10 weeks no money. I can t get food or anything. All other services said I don t qualify due to last years income. What are we supposed to do.

Tried calling for the past two days and always get the same recorded response:our que is filled up for the day please call back later.I just wanted some general information about partial unemployment benefits and can't even get that.When I tried to open a claim through there website,it told me an account was already on file.When i tried to log in it said account already exists. It said wrong username or password.When i went to the link to try and reset my password it didnt even have any way to reset or choose a new one.Is this a joke?Absolutely horrible phone system.The only way to get anything done is if you go down to their office early.And I wasn't even trying to file a claim just get general information,good luck if you have anything really important to do.I even called & spoke to a director working for detr on st louis ave.I told her the issues I was having and asked if I could file a claim in person.She said no and her advice to me was to hang up and keep calling until I got through.Not kidding.A director that works for detr told me this.Unbelievable.Worst system and service ever.Nevada has to be the worst state to be employed in good grief every law in this state favors the employers not the employees making it even harder to get the potential benefits one needs,terrible state and state services.

I have been trying to get in touch with unemployment found out someone in Miami, FL got a card and stole over 18,000 of benefits while I was rejected for benefits. I haven t been able to talk to anybody and now the replacement card is locked and I m being told to contact my sponsor which is impossible. I don t know if that card was back pay or just someone else made a claim and actually got accepted. It s sad and ridiculous.

Well, I will just be repeating the experience of everyone else. I'm out of my home at the end of the month. I have no idea when I will receive any benefits. I can't get a hold of anyone in DETR to get a better understanding of what is going on. I can only read the news and see how screwed up the system is and not get any response or answers on my inquiries. Really regret moving to this State, but I guess I am stuck here now.

I ve Been trying to contact Detr for a month now.
-They do not answer phone lines
-They do not answer to fix claims on their email provided on the website : internethelp nor detradmin. So why promote this on the website?
-Under things delaying payment is a pending resolution which needs to be reviewed by then as well and no action for weeks now
-I have faxed paystubs over multiple times and no communication
-My claim has not been reviewed by a detr employee, when trying to submit it, it says needs to be reviewed by detr employee for approval.
-My benefits ended September and I ve been applying for 13 week entended benefits since then.
-Not even sure why they still say on the website to go by last names because clearly they are not even doing/practicing what their promoting

The whole department is the WORST in the country. No one is doing anything to correct the claims. On the news all detr does is complain about the system and the issues with it but you are on the inside, do something about it, make a change.

Telling that 3 of the 5-star reviews were negative and were intended obviously to be 1 or 2-stars.

I had a phone interview on July 15th and was told to check the My Documents section for my either denial or approval letter at the end of the business day or the next day. It is now August 11th and there has been no update.

Reaching the office by phone is nigh-impossible. It takes thousands of phone calls per day between three lines over the course of 9 hours to even get one through to being on HOLD and the last time I finally got through and was on hold, I was hung up on 5 seconds after the rep answered in silence. Two weeks ago, I reached a rep (also after thousands of calls) who said they would email a supervisor to email the arbitration department to hopefully get my answer. That didn't seem to help anything.

Reaching the office by mail/email doesn't appear any easier as I haven't received a response yet through those methods.

This place is an entire JOKE!!!!! Just google any reviews and you will see so many horror stories. The Governor and those in charge truly don't care about you or anyone else in regards to unemployment. Why should they, there not hurting financially in any way. On top of that why did DETR wait to be the last state to apply for the extra $300 in unemployment aid? Can't wait till voting season is here, not voting for Sisolak or anyone who is like minded as he is, that's for sure.

A joke. They hired a third party ca center literally to ONLY answer the phones. Once you get through they have no answers or accountability. I literally had one customer service rep ask me "what did I want him to do"? Theres no one higher to speak with, no names, email addresses or phone numbers. In Nevada, if it's not gaming and hospitality related it does NOT take priority!

I had to post at least 1 star in order to post this. I had filled out my info on the unemployment website 2 weeks ago but they said that they needed to verify something so I had to talk to a human.

If you attempt to call the unemployment number you get one of two things. (1) either the call will not even connect because the circuit is overloaded or (2) if you are lucky enough to get through, you are told that they are maxed out for calls for the day.

I understand that there are a lot of people unemployed especially in Las Vegas right now but when the lines are full at 10:30 AM and the unemployment office is open from 8 AM to 8 PM how can anyone possibly get through?!

I have been calling non stop trying to get through for hours. This is just wrong and a major failure on unemployment's part. Someone at unemployment must know how bad this is. What is being done to fix it when so many people need money to live?
