Easy location set in Beautiful surroundings friendly staff good food first break since lockdown strange times but enjoyable

Hidden gem in the Wicklow mountains,just needs a spa & pool

Food is unbelievably good. Fabulous views and great staff. We use it for every function (communion/confirmations and birthdays) and they always deliver.

Always loved this hotel as its where we got married. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only down side is they changed carpet in the rooms for wood floors so things are a little bit noisy

Tricky golf always in good condition. Good price too if you get a deal on golfnow.ie

This was a 5 star experience. Caring in every way.

Woken at 3am by drunken and rowdy guests pounding on the bedroom door.
The response from the hotel was just pitiful -"They made a mistake" and "we don't know what was going on in their heads"!!
Absolutely pathetic

The food was good. It was expensive for what we had, I would not go back. They were busy so the service was not great. Long wait.

Lovely hotel , good golf course but gets flooded easily in wet weather.

Rooms were spotless, dinner & breakfast very tasty & Cathriona and staff in the Beauty Rooms provide great treatments. We will be back.

Excellent hotel in beautiful surroundings right in the middle of a golf course.
Good big rooms and good beds - that means a lot.
Standard quality food, slightly more expensive than usual.
The hotel is only an hour's drive from the airport.

Book this place NOW. They serve the most divine food . The staff at the desk, bar, restaurant were utterly perfect.Not overintrusive as in alot of places. They are a credit to the place even the lovely lady cleaning said hello with a smile on her face. They offer Golf as well. Message to owners Well Done cant fault a thing. Bravo

Great place to go and relax. But would love to stay in big house again. It's beautiful. Food in bar good. Not so in restaurant.

What a gem hidden in countryside of Wicklow. I know nothing about golf but it looks to have a nice course around hotel.

Great service the staff were really nice and helpful. The room was nice with a great bathroom. The food was pretty good, maybe a bit overpriced for the menu. We personally didn't play any golf but the facilities seemed nice

Didn't stay at the hotel but played the golf course. A super track where every hole is different. Eventually making your way to the lakes where there are two holes that skirt around it. The index 1 is a great hole.

Disappointing service in restaurant.
We had booked a stay and play deal to include a dinner. There were 20 people eating in the restaurant so by no means under pressure. The food was lovely but very disappointed. I choose the pork belly which I was told came with veg and spuds, the veg never came. My husband paid the 7 supplement for the steak which read lovely with mushrooms etc what he got was a piece of meat on a plate with chips in a cup. He had to go up to the registrar to get attention. He got some mushrooms on a side plate. I had asked about the cheese and crackers board,(another supplement) did it include blue cheese. It did just no crackers. I had to ask for the crackers which were more like biscuits. When we were paying for the extras I mentioned how disappointed we were with service and I was told that "normally one table gets all the issues" I left disappointed. The serving staff and kitchen staff taking their eye off the ball.

Booked Tulfarris as our Spanish golf trip was cancelled due to Covid.. WOW.... why have we never been here before, the hotel is excellent, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean, the food in the restaurant was delicious with good service and the bar was food was excellent too.. a special mention to Melissa in the bar who was very accommodating (following covid restrictions) to ensure we got to see the Pro14 final.. An excellent weekend was had by all our group and will most definitely be back..

Room was great... especially the bed was like a cloud. So comfy.. staff were warm and friendly. Food was lovely.

Fantastic golf course even if we played in a storm. Great challenge and fantastic scenery. Then to the bar for a lovely steak dinner and a refreshment or two.

Found it by chance and im glad i did could not fault the welcome we received room was excellent staff polite friendly and helpful great hotel beautiful surroundings highly recommended

Had a fabulous stay in Tulfarris. Room very comfortable, setting beautiful and food fantastic. Special mention to Bernard and Karen for their exceptional customer service. The team really went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely return.

Great scenery helpful staff and lovely place to stay

No Service, customers come in for bar food are just left sitting or standing there till they either ask the bar staff if they can have a menu or else they got up and just left. When the food did eventually arrive it was ok. My Wife asked water twice and it never arrive. Overall disappointing.

I stayed in Tulfarris hotel with my husband on Monday night 28th of March.
We had an amazing experience. The staff, room, food and service was fantastic. We had a really nice relaxing time. We played two rounds of golf which was thoroughly enjoyable. I do have to mention 1 staff member Neal he was at Reception and also I spoke to him on the phone. He is very professional and has a brilliant manor with guests not only us but with all guests. You leave reception with a smile on you face. He is so kind and explains everything so well. The hotel is lucky to have such a wonderful employee on the team at Tulfarris. We've stayed here before and it was excellent the last time but this time around the overall quality has declined. The staff were amazing and friendly.
The special covid restrictions were just for show, apart from staff, we were the only ones following guidelines. The rules were not being enforced on other guests. The hotel was pretty full of golfers and a wedding party, the bar was quite busy so we stayed clear of it. Our room wasn't great, the toilet seat had marks on it and looked very unhygienic and there was hair in the bathtub when we arrived. There were 2 single beds pushed together to make a double. We had dinner in Fia restaurant which was average but the breakfast the next morning was incredibly bland.
We used to love this place but felt like the hotel is now overcharging and underperforming in quality .

Lovely renovation, reasonably priced & beds you can sink in!

Hotel itself is a lovely place and if you golf its the place for you. My stay was ok staff where fantastic and very helpful but my room was ok. I never really like to complain but i feel like this was needed to say as my money went to this and i felt like it didnt match up as to other places i had stayed. As most hotels the bed was two beds pushed together which always leads to a uncomfortable rest. The tea and coffee facilities was so bad. I would of thought that the money i spent and the look and feel of the hotel this didnt seem to fit. The cups were awful to use i had to take a pic for this review. Nothing worse for first thing in the moring to frustrate you by using this horrilbe and lacking facilities. Bearly enough for 1 let alone 2 cups of your choice and look at this horrilbe cup and yes even though i tried not to spill it happened anyway just looking at this picture you would say 'why' have THIS as your cup. Our room wasnt the best location. Right on the side corner of the building where there was a staff only entrance which slammed shut and a 'staff golf buggy' parked right outside our window which was so loud when tured on. Also the carpark was not far from us so you where awaking by people walking to there cars by the rumbling noise of the bags wheels on the bumpy pavement

Lovely views, lovely clean spacious rooms. Food the 1st night in the restaurant was superp, however the 2nd night we were disappointed, way below 1st night. Bar service was hit and miss, however the man in charge of the bar was super very helpful. The girl lounge and restaurant staff were excellent however 2 barstaff wearing surgical facemasks would rather avoid work than help the staff prepaired to work. Overall an enjoyable couple of days

The setting is very nice on an expansive golf course in a very picturesque location. The bar and bar food were very good. It is a decent base to explore the surrounding area.

My partner and I have been to this great hotel three times and we can not wait to return,we both travel a lot and this is our favourite hotel and location,all of the staff are very friendly and hard working,all of the food in the Restaurant is amazing and the evening meals we have had are the best we have ever had,even if you are not staying at the hotel just go in for a meal,the surrounding scenery is stunning,there is also a great large bar to relax after your meal.

Social distance protocols were good.
Service not so. The sever who seated us took a drinks order and promptly forgot us. Between ten and fifteen minutes later a different server arrived and took our order.
The soup order was very slow arriving and when it did it was so cold it had to be returned.
Even after the delay with the soup it took forever for the main course to arrive. One of the items was pan fried fish and the suspicion was that it had been frozen.
Not sure that we will be back there anytime soon.

Fabulous hotel.. have stayed here just for a nights break 4 or 5 times and am never disappointed. The staff are amazing and can't do enough to help

We have just returned from two nights at Tulfarris. It wasn t our first time and it won t be our last. Staff in Restaurant and Reception were pleasant, friendly and efficient at all times. The food was delicious. Restrictions were adhered to at all times. Our room was beautiful with view over golf course. Chocolates and a card to congratulate us on our anniversary....many thanks. Welcome drink of your choice is a nice touch. Well done all....we will be back.

A Few Good Men band & DJ had the pleasure of providing wedding entertainment at this fantastic venue on a number of occasions.
Great location, very friendly professional staff and always a great atmosphere.

Fabulous location, gorgeous scenery perfect for a couple looking for a night of peace.. staff went above and beyond for us suites are fantastic and food is devine!!

This is a very homely comfortable friendly location for any Staycation. One day, 2 days or any amount of days. food superb, rooms amazing g and staff exceptionally friendly. Been there many times over the past few years and will go again in a few weeks time. A golf course in impeccable condition made this breakaway location fantastic.
