I have been with True now for about 7 years. I switched because they found me car and house insurance for half what I was paying. I check often and True is always the best. And I had to make a claim once and they were quick at dealing with it and my rates didnt go up. They are the best. Tell them I referred you and I get a free bagel!They are the best!

I was buying a new house in Ithaca and wanted a local insurance agent to give me a quote. I had called around 5 or 6 different agencies. I was driving past this agency and I thought I would give them a call as well since they looked to be local. I called on a Tuesday afternoon, talked to a woman (can't remember her name) provided my details and she said she would have a quote over to me most likely on Wednesday. On Friday I still had not received a quote so I called again and talked to the receptionist (I believe her name was Alex), she took my information (phone number and email address) and said she would follow-up with me. By Tuesday the following week I still had not heard from anyone.

True is a great local agency. I ve had a few policies with them including Auto, Commercial Auto, Motorcycle and Contractor s. They ve always been super helpful.

The insurance company I was with before True, started out with good rates, but they kept jacking them up every year and after ten years or so, they were pretty pricey. We owned 4 houses and 3 vehicles at the time. I checked with True, and they got us coverage on everything and saved us a bundle. Rates with these policies through True have fluctuated a little bit, but nothing like the steady increase I was seeing before going with True.
I had gone about 30 years without a homeowners or auto insurance claim, but just a couple years after switching to True, we hit a deer at 50 mph and did almost as much damage as the car was worth. I paid the body shop the deductible, and that was all. My insurance paid them directly. I didn't even have to file the claim myself. Five stars! A month later, our vacation house was broken into, vandalized and cleaned out. I anticipated that dealing with the insurance company was going to be a nightmare. It wasn't. I thought we should have gotten more for some of the things, but overall, I again give the insurance company 5 stars. Six months later, there was a devastating fire at our rental house. My greatest fear was that our insurance company would dump us (I could hardly have blamed them) They didn't. When our premiums came due, they were no much different from what they had been before these three catasrophes. When things like that happen, you really need to feel like your insurance company is your ally, not your adversary. I always felt like Erie (through True) was on our side. I am so glad that I got our insurance through True. I only wish I'd talked to them 30 years earlier.

I can't say enough wonderful things about True Insurance. We have been with them since we moved to Ithaca in 1990. We have our homeowner's insurance, all our cars, and our sons have renters insurance through them. The team is extremely friendly and helpful. They help with everything. If you think there is a problem, or if you think your insurance has gone up too much, they will go out of their way to find a solution. True Insurance was the easiest part of our move, and I just totally don't worry about our insurance needs - True takes care of everything.

True Insurance has been my insurance agency for decades; car insurance for 30 or so years and business insurance since 2009. Aside from being very friendly and helpful they also have contacted me when better policies were available at better rates. I highly recommend True Insurance to everyone.

We ve been using True insurance for five year for both home and auto. Excellent service. Prompt returns of calls and helpful with questions, and very reasonable prices. No claims so far but we expect helpful service if we ever do have one
