I am currently employed by The Bradley Center. I am writing this review to urge any skeptical parents...DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. I have over the course of a year seen residents get progressively worse than when they came in. They end up learning more negative behaviors than positive. If your child isn't aggressive or doesn't self harm, they will when they leave here or will do it more frequently.

Lisa Fox, our CEO, purely cares about profits. This is a for profit business with no effort from the administration to actually heal children. It's simply a scam to hook in money from your insurance providers. Your child WILL get access to adequate therapy in a contained environment (not safe FOR them as they're at high risk to get attacked by other residents) but their day to day programming is a total mess due to the lack of support from the administration. CEO Lisa Fox is much more concerned with her love affair with the facilities psychiatrist Craig Taylor (the man who will zombify your children with medication) than she is with making the facility better.

The Director of the RTF, Carmen Corna, along with her supervisor Beth Hines, came as refugees from the failed Glades Run RTF which under their leadership was closed by the state due to safety and health concerns. Carmen's leadership has not changed. She along with the rest of the administrative team, have not been seen stepping foot on your child's unit or school. They make their decisions and changes to your children's programming without ever knowing how that program actually works. This is with the exception of our clinical liaison Chuck Lord, who to his credit does actually work unit shifts despite being part of the high and mighty administrative team.

These are issues that have been consistent prior to the past six months. Under the current stress of our nation wide pandemic, things have been even worse. The Bradley Center claims to quarantine the new admissions they are forcing in at great speeds (for profit). One might imagine this involves sequestering this children in a separate location. It does not. They are instead "quarantined" on the same hallway as your children who have lived in the facility for months. They are told not to leave their bedrooms, on the same hallway, but there is nothing forcing the resident to actually do so other than staff prompts. These "quarantining" children are using the same bathrooms and showers as your children despite being potentially exposed.

It wasn't until 8 months into this pandemic that the center has changed their policy, and now forces a negative COVID test before admission. Prior, residents were being admitted without being tested prior, and were simply waiting for their results on the unit and in the same programming. This policy was only changed because recently, one of these faux quarantined residents was revealed to have tested positive for the COVID, after exposing the entire hallway and staff to the virus. Multiple staff are now forced to be off the schedule because they were exposed.

I have also seen residents who accused their roommates of inappropriately touching them, and the residents were not properly separated. Rather the offending resident was moved across the hallway, and allowed to interact with the potential victim in this case. Why is the alleged perpetrator still so close to the victim? Because they refuse to move residents around at the risk of not filling empty beds and keeping their profits incoming.

I don't have all negatives to say. The Bradley School, for all it's intents and purposes, does an excellent job at providing special education to students and residents. Their principal, Melanie, is exceptional at her job and models great behaviors for both students and her staff. The direct care staff at The Bradley Center is also incredible. For the pure lack of support they get from the administrative team, the lower staff so their absolute best to provide crisis intervention and support to your children.

My point still, do not send your child to this for profit fake trauma center.

Dr. Craig Taylor is an absolute horrible human being and should no longer be practicing. He loves to over Medicate children/adults with special needs. Completely over looks the fact that others have guardianship of his clients and DOES NOT watch for side effects of his patients. His answer is all ways MORE medication. Is also known to have a very unethical past in his career...

I worked at the Bradley center, and several other RTC's since. They all are pretty much the same, but I was terminated after reporting a staff member sexually assaulting two underage clients. That staff member happened to be the former CFO's best friends son. Probably why he wasn't fired for his multiple termination worthy offenses. I saw a teacher break a kids arm for annoying him. I saw a female staff break a clients nose for pulling her hair. It was so bad I used to work 100 hours a week just to protect the kids from the staff. A joke.

I was here for nine months and learned a lot. I received wonderful trauma therapy by a well educated therapist. The program is very strong and staff do care. However, staff have an issue with communication and things often get twisted.

Our daughter spent a year in the Bradley Center and has been home 3 weeks with threatening to harm herself plus more defiant behaviors than when she left. Her therapist even said that she was worse. Plus the nursing staff was a joke, giving a Type 1 diabetic cookies twice a day for snacks. Her A1C went from 7.4-10.1.

From your local guide William Robinson. Well I grew up in the North Campus of the Bradley Center. And I went there back in 1980. And now two point out I am 43 now. And I have lived in Pittsburgh, but for 26 years I was living in Uniontown Pennsylvania. But I came back to McKees Rocks Pennsylvania. And I have a lot of memories of first Bradley Center.
