TRUE HABIT , Brooklyn NY Review

I was shocked to see anything less than five stars for this store--then realized some of the reviewers are confusing this shop with an online retailer. I had to leave a review, because I've shopped here many times and have always had a wonderful experience. Really great collection of high quality clothing that's constantly rotating, and the people who work here are always so kind and helpful. The staff gives their honest opinion and dont ever seem like they're pushing a sale on you.

As a visitor I ve twice been in this boutique. Every turn I make in this store I see something else that calls to me. Fabulous clothing, bags, books and delicate fashion jewelry. It s already become a must stop when I m in Brooklyn.

LIAR CON ARTIST SELLER. CONNED THEIR WAY OUT OF NEGATIVE EBAY FEEDBACK. PROMISED A REFUND BUT DIDN'T DELIVER. SAD EXCUSE FOR A BUSINESSMAN OR WOMAN. EVEN IF YOU ARE A MAN YOU ACT LIKE A WOMEN OR LITTLE GIRL RATHER WITH YOUR COWARDNESS. WHAT KIND OF FOOL WOULD BOTHER TRYING TO CON THEIR WAY OUT OF NEGATIVE FEEDBACK WHEN THEY ALREADY HAVE HUNDREDS OF NEGATIVE REPLIES. THIS SELLER DELIVERED POOR QUALITY DAMAGED ITEMS AND PASSED THEM OFF AS NEW AND RUINED A CHANCE I HAD TO MAKE A NICE OUTFIT SETTING WITH A NEW NECKTIE. BUT ITS OKAY FOUND A BETTER DEAL ANYWAY. I JUST CAME HERE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW HOW MUCH OF A COWARD AND FRAUD/CON ARTIST YOU ARE AND FOOL TOO! MAKES NO SENSE TO CON FOR POSITIVE FEEDBACK WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE SO MUCH NEGATIVITY COMING YOUR WAY AND STILL TO COME. JUST SO YOU KNOW, IT'S TRUE WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT KARMA, AND IT ALWAYS COMES BACK WORST YOU CON ARTIST COWARD! THANK YOU AND HAVE A GOOD DAY!

I absolutely loved Habit the last time that I went there. Their staff was lovely and helped me when I had questions about sizing, and I left feeling content with what I had purchased. Besides clothing, they had a few small gift things (books, candles, jewelry, etc.) that I just had to have! 5/5, can t wait to go over when I m back in Brooklyn.

Cute store with helpful staff and a great selection of clothes! The clothes were very cool and flattering. The prices (with the fall sale) were awesome!

I've never been so upset with a store before in my life. They double charged me for what I bought, and dealt with the situation so poorly. During the transaction it looked like I was only paying $55, but when I checked my bank account it showed that they had charged me $110. When I called to get the situation taken care of, they were extremely unhelpful and unconcerned about their error and my inconvenience. Instead of getting the situation taken care of right away, they took their time and were extremely unorganized during the process. It's been almost 2 weeks and I still haven't gotten my money back. It's even more difficult because I don't live in the area, so I can't easily sort the situation out. Most places would give an extra discount for inconveniencing their customers in such a great way, but they wouldn't give anything - further showing their indifference for their customer and their horrible service.

Disclaimer: I am reviewing this based on what I think my wife thought of this store. As the husband, I stood in the corner on my phone as she shopped, but it seemed like she liked this store because she bought one of those blankets that women wear in public. I am not the biggest fan of those blankets, but I must say this is the best looking blanket I've seen and my wife looks amazing in it. This store had helpful staff and offered several discounts. I wouldn't make a special trip here, but if you're in Park Slope and need some clothes (and are a woman), stop by Habit!

I went shopping for the first time at Habit on Friday and really had a great experience. The sales girl was very helpful and the pricing very fair. Will return.
