January 25th, 2019 I arrived at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center in dire condition. They took me directly back. Dr. Ifeanyi Obianyo MD immediately responded to me. What a wonder, caring and intelligent man he was. The nurses were sweethearts. The entire staff was very gracious. I highly recommend this hospital to one and all.

Sincerely,
Willard C Upchurch

Delivered my baby boy here and I couldn t be any happier with my experience! All the nurses were amazing but the one that left such an impact was nurse Sara, she was with me through my whole labor and I truly couldn t have asked for a better nurse. Dr Riggan was the on call doctor for my delivery and he was absolutely amazing as well, I couldn t have asked for a better doctor to deliver my baby boy. I wouldn t deliver anywhere else! I even had the manager come check and make sure I was being well taken care of, you can tell they truly care about their patients.

Office will not allow you to bring baby to postpartum appointment but will let patients bring a visitor to ultrasound appointments. I witnessed women bringing their babies to postpartum visits throughout my pregnancy, which I had prenatal visits on a weekly basis. Some sort of communication on this updated policy would have been helpful. As well all know getting any where with a newborn is not easy. This practice also let my provider go 6 weeks prior to me delivering. I called the office manger explaining my situation and she couldn t have cared less. I will not be returning to any HCA facility.

The facility was easy to locate. Once inside the building was well signed and easy to navigate. The wait for my scan was minimal and the attendant provided clear instructions and expectations.

They took care of me while I was there but that was it. I came in because I was in so much pain from just randomly passing out. They did a bunch of test and X-rays, didn t find anything so they let me go. Gave no reason for why I was just passing out and gave me some medicine. They medicine they gave I can t take because it interferes with another health issue that I informed them about AND I still went home to pass out again. Uggghhhhh I wasted my time going here

I received amazing care from the entire staff, the nurses all the way to the registrar. Hope, my nurse, is phenomenal at her job. She was professional and friendly. No one wants to go to the ER but she made it more comfortable.

I have always had a decent experience here. However i am 37 weeks pregnant and went to labor and delivery with chest pains, back pains, and a headache. But when i was give my discharge papers, it was clearly written that there was no pain experienced, even though directly under it was written that i had been experiencing contractions.

Went to the emergency room last Thursday for a swollen foot. After talking to one of the staff about my condition he told me to sit and he will be with me in a minute. Very nice. Another nurse walked in and started complaining right in front of me about not being able to take me or another patient and was very unprofessional. The man offered a solution and kept professional and apologized to me. When I finally had blood drawn, the male nurse who did it caused hematoma with extreme bruising. Now, because I have a blood clot disorder, I may have to return to the emergency room if the internal bleeding doesn't stop. Horrible.

Absolutely the worst hospital I have ever been too. Been waiting 5 hours just for someone to see my fiancee about stomach pains. 5 hours!!!! For stomach pains and couldn't even get a nurse to come into the room after paging and paging and was finally told to just wait my turn. Absolutely atroish behavior and terrible staff. Will never be back and good luck getting paid guys!!

Every time I've been a patient here, I have felt truly cared for and in very good hands. The nursing staff is always very pleasant and caring. The Doctors are just as caring. They treat you like they would a family member. If you must be in the hospital for anything, this one is tops!

there for a 5 day period, one of which was in CCU. CCU nurses are the best. Very attentive to need and seemed to work well together. Regular recovery floor was a mixed bag. Some very good nurses, some that left a bit to be desired. Seemed to be a bit of a conflict of disconnect between nurses and technicians. Seems as if I had to request meds twice, slow to react to my needs. All in all it was a good experience and the small hospital atmosphere made for a restful stay.

Went to the ER in excruciating pain only to waste my time and money and my deductible. I already knew I had a cist on one of my ovaries and my GY said it won t cause any pain and if my pain is so bad to go to the ER cause they couldn t do anything about my pain. So one day it got that bad I couldn t get out of bed and I was crying and just in so much pain and didn t want to go to the ER but felt like I needed to go cause something is wrong. I already went the my regular doctor who was a joke that just gave me pills and a ex ray with no follow up or info on how to get to the core problem. The GY that just found small cist that seem to be shrinking, so the only other option was ER surly they can help. I was sadly mistaken after 2 hours waiting cause the doctor who came in was in a rush and after a min said I ll be right back then came in 25 mins later to ask what all is going on so i told here what test was already done and how I had a small cist on one of my ovaries. She proceeds to say my condition wasn t life or death and gave me some pain pills. I told her I don t want pills i want to know what is wrong with me. My pelvic, back and side hurts really bad and I feel light headed there has to be a test they missed. She ordered a urine test and said it was ok and said she couldn t do anything more. 6-8 minutes total with this doctor who seemed not to care at all about trying to help me to waste 2 hours of my day and a 150 dollar deductible for services I didn t receive cause she did not help me at all. I could have just suffered at home, now I get a letter saying the doctor was out of network and wanting 700 dollars for doing absolutely nofthing to help me. I wouldn t never go back to tri star ER. I see doctors there but the ER is not the way. Maybe it was just her but they had all my insurance information and normally they will check to see if it is in network or not but they didn t care at all and added all these charges in my account and me for absolutely zero help. They sent a paper home with me saying I was diagnosed with a cist but I told them I had that, they never diagnosed me with anything and only did a urine test and have pills.

The staff and Dr's were the greatest in the same day surgery. But when my husband was put in a room upstairs the nurses were rude and disrespectful. He ended up walking out when he needed care. They wouldn't provide the nurses name for him to file a complaint. Took 25 minutes to get the nurse into the room when he was taken up. The nurse from the same day surgery had to do everything. All I know is if your on the 2 nd floor beware of a nurse named Chris. He's very disrespectful. And don't expect much help. never going back to this place. Nurses need training on patient care. On the floors. Same day and Dr.s were great.

Whatever you do - avoid this place at all costs. Their billing is so screwed up, I can't get a correct, or even a copy of my, statement. I haven't gotten a bill for ER doc fees yet, and it's been 3 months since I went in. They billed my insurance, of course.
If you call the billing department they answer and take a message due to high call volume. I was told that it would be tomorrow or the next day before I get a call back.
Obviously customer service and all-around patient care isn't important to this facility. Nothing like making the sick and injured also be stressed out over billing problems. Absolutely ridiculous!!
I received great patient care, but that doesn't matter if the whole experience is ruined by total lack of compassion for patients.
This would be a 0-star review if possible.

Hendersonville is great! My dad has been to several Nashville area hospitals over the last few months and this is the only one I trust He has been here 3 times since September and has been on several different floors .The nurses are GREAT at caring for the patients as well as communicsting information from .the doctor. My dad has always left here with his problem solved. Unfortunately, I am unable to say that about some of the larger hospitals .

Worst experience here. The doctor came in to look at my son who was already diagnosed with pneumonia the week before brought him in because he was constantly puking and I was afraid he was dehydrated and not keeping down the antibiotics, he didn't listed to my sons lungs or take his temp or anything , told him to stick his tongue out and left the room, ordered him a shot that he already had the prior week and I had already told them he'd had the shot. The nurse almost gave him the shot before I told her she wasn't aloud , my 5 year old didn't need any more meds pumped in his little body especially when they hadn't even looks at him or cared what meds he'd already taken . I don't know how they were so careless with my little boy but we will never return to this hospital.

My surgeon was great! However the rest of the hospital experience could have been so much better. Pre-op, in the bed while nurses are doing their thing, someone from Registration wanted payment. ?? Where am I supposed to have my wallet with me, let alone the fact that during my registration phone call not a word was mentioned abut my co-pay. Registration person went to husband in waiting room, who was just as stunned as I was. Upon her telling him that the charge would be pending due to the fact that she wasn't quite sure what our amount would be due to insurance, nope, the next day that charge posted! Same person then loudly commented for all to hear that she would let the nurses know after talking with another person in the waiting room who had the same reaction my husband and I did and did not have a form of payment with them. So, if you don't pay your portion at that time your level of care is not the same? Why would nurses need to know that? We are not talking abut an office co-pay of $35-50. My payment was the 20% after insurance. This may be the new norm but I felt that it could have been handled differently, maybe during the phone call the day prior.
Still in Pre-op, a nurse very much showed her displeasure about a fellow co-worker to not only the other nurses but the 3 of us patients...unprofessional!
In Recovery, waking from anesthesia to 2 VERY LOUD chatty nurses talking to each other from different sides of the room about home improvement shows... I realize I should have not have made the comment I did while waking up (referencing how annoying the talking was) but I was scolded by a nurse that I was rude!
Should I ever find myself in need of hospital services again I will look at other options and not utilize TriStar. Just an experience like no other that in my opinion should not have been.

The only reason they get 3 stars from me is because both times I had my kids there . They were awesome!! But when I went in a few days ago. The nurse was snobbish and I also heard them laughing at a patient that was leaving out and she was AN ELDERLY WOMAN .. That just makes me sick! The night crew plays absolutely to much.

I was there for an MRI, and the tech had called to see if I was willing to have it done at the off site facility instead of the in-hospital site. That was fine with me. He said if I could get there right then, I d be able to get it done and everyone could be home before the original schedule. Everything was fine, except that I got there at the scheduled time, and he obviously was not going to get out of there early. During the MRI he told me that there was too much movement, and he was going to have to repeat the scan. I told him that I was not moving deliberately....my muscles in my shoulder were spazzing, and I could not control that. It was the most painful MRI I had ever had. My arm had to be in a position that caused a lot of pain, and I know he had no control over that. But after he was through 2 of the 3 series he had to run in the repeated scans, I told him I needed to stop. I wasn t upset about being in the machine (I was premedicated for that, and it did not bother me at all) but my shoulder/arm were in a lot of pain. When I asked if I could come out for a few minutes, and get to move my arm, to see if it would help me get through the last part of it, he seemed irritated at my attempt to delay things. I wasn t trying to make it more difficult on him. I just needed to move my arm. He said If I bring you out, we have to remap and restart the whole thing. I said Please just finish up then. We were the last ones there, and I m sure he was ready to be going home. But it is the first time I have ever had anything done where I felt like the I was bothering the tech. Maybe just a bad day for him.

Though busy at the time the staff was very attentive and the providers were very thorough. I was very pleased. Any other ER during the busy times will see many times the average wait time of this place. Staff here are top notch and the providers are second to none. You can tell that these people really strive to be the best. Id trust my life to them all.

I cannot day enough good things about dr. Babb wit...

I cannot day enough good things about dr. Babb with the Tristar (bluegrass women s group) and every nurse, surgeon and the anesthesiologist that was with me for my c-section. It was a 6 day ordeal. Giant shoutouts to my nurses Ashlen, Melissa, Gwen, Chelsey (sorry if incorrect spelling but she had her baby a few months ago), Evelyn, and Michelle!! Ashlen was with me in the very beginning and was the sweetest, most caring person and I m glad I had her by my side through the initial scary stuff. Michelle was an absolute godsend and fun to be around. I was in and out of it when I met Gwen but she was very friendly. Melissa helped me through an entire grueling day of inducing labor and was an absolute champ with me. Chelsey and Evelyn were my amazing night nurses and brought me snacks and LOTS of ice water. Again, very caring. In the surgery the male anesthesiologist and surgeon-I think his name was Donnie-and all of the nurses present were awesome. Our NICU nurse Kandace was the BOMB and very helpful with information and encouragement on our little one. For such a tiring, long first experience becoming a mom I couldn t have asked for a better place to be at. Right down to the lactation consultants and the staff that delivered food and came in to clean-all around 6 out of 5 stars. Thank all of you so much for your drive and sharing your talent and gifts to help others the way you do. We will definitely deliver there again and will recommend everyone searching to you!

My husband and I just welcomed our first child on Thursday at The Birthing Center. I had to have a c-section which is already traumatic but also add being a first time parent in the midst of COVID. The surgery went as well as could be expected. Everyone was great. On the second day I started to really feel the recovery from surgery which is hard and painful and other emotions of being a parent and dealing with new changes in life. The nursing staff was amazing. Minus one nurse but I really feel like she was the exception. However I need to give a shout out to my nurse Tammy that truly nurtured my family throughout the last three days of my stay. She has to be an angel sent from God. She was so patient, informative, loving and personable. I really felt that she cared about us deeply and wanted to prepare my husband and I for all the ups and downs we were going through and are going to go through. I know anyone that has her care when they have their baby here is in the absolute best hands!!

Lazy staff who do their jobs half ass. Rude nurses and doctors that treat patients families like crap. My boyfriend almost died. He discharged himself because of the hostility from them towards him and the family. Had a new nurse who was supposed to be shadowing someone taking care of him. No actual doctor was. Present. From now on we are using Vanderbilt because we refuse to be treated the way they treated us. Too many mistakes were made by them medically and personally. This hospital needs a spring cleaning please bring in a new staff who knows what they are doing and how to treat people with respect.

Going to the hospital for an illness is daunting i...

Going to the hospital for an illness is daunting in itself. Now, lay in the illness itself; uncertainty as to what's next; worried family; and a nursing staff that is extremely busy and not able to answer your questions because they sometimes don't know what the charge nurse or on-duty doctor has called for.

The excellent nursing staff that prepared an ICU stay for me seemed to have the crucial information to get me started on the protocols necessary to administer to me in very short time. I never felt like the ICU team was waiting for command on high to take the next step.

A hospital admission and stay is not like checking in the Ritz Carlton. There is nobody that says, "Have nice stay.". No bellman, waiters, concierge. But you are constantly surrounded by professionals in brightly colored scrubs looking out for your well-being from the moment you arrive on their hospital floor.

My stay in the ICU was like watching a wonderfully choreographed performance. All of the staff caring for me knew what the past shift had done so there was never a duplication of service from one shift to the next. Extreme discipline in documenting treatment notes seems to be the norm at Hendersonville.

I am extremely pleased with the staff and quality of care I received at Hendersonville Medical Center.

I have gone to the Advanced Wound Care department every week for months and they are friendly and efficient.

I also had to go to their outpatient MRI because I have a filter in my body that they didn't know if it would clear their new MRI with a larger magnet. I'm really glad that option was available for me to go to.

I was seen and released in the ER in about 4 hours. I did not improve over the next two days and went to the Centennial Hospital ER, where I was admitted for 3 nights to actually treat the problems. Had Hendersonville admitted me, I could have started the healing process 3 days earlier as I knew it was going to take awhile. Sadly, I was denied being admitted even though I argued for it based on my past history.

I had a wonderful birthing experience here at the birthing center on the 19th. The staff exceeded my expectations. This was my first child, and it being during a pandemic, I didn't know what to expect. They made my husband and I feel very comfortable and safe, and were there any time we needed them. Our room was large and cozy and, even though visitors were not allowed due to Covid, there would have been plenty of space for them. My husband and I were satisfied with the food and the options available. I just couldn't have envisioned a better experience for myself. Everyone we had contact with were fantastic and I would 100% recommend the birthing center at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center for your birthing needs.

The care provided by the clinicians was fantastic! They were attentive, caring, and communicative. My only complaint is the handling of records to my primary care. My PCP is not in the Tristar network, but was told many times and before I checked in that they could still send my records/results to that dr. Some of my results were fairly urgent, and was given the expectation that my doctor would receive them the following day after my ER visit. It took multiple faxes and requests on both mine and my providers' part to get those records.

The service that the staff and Dr. Jones provided to my mother was great. From time of entry through the ER til the the next day when she was safely able to leave without concern, there wasn't one unpleasant experience. She/we are a little more understanding that it's a hospital and you may not always be able to see or hear what it is that is causing something to take a little longer than one would think. She was visiting from out of town and she was so much happier with the kind and friendliness of all the staff that she interacted with being far different than that of which she is use to from her local hospital back home.

Took my 4 year old daughter here on October 30th after she had a severe head trauma (fell off of a 6-ft retainer wall and hit her face 3 times on the way down to land on rocks. She was unresponsive and couldn't talk and you could CLEARLY see by looking at her poor face that she needed immediate attention. The ER staff WOULDN'T EVEN LET MY HUSBAND CHECK HER IN!!! Then once I arrived, I was holding my child looking for someone to help with complete desperation. The nurse who was taking vitals (in so may words) basically told me to shut-up and sit down. What is she had a brain bleed? Fractured skull? There were NO other children in the ER, and every single patient in there was mad for us. I ended up HAVING TO LEAVE and took her to Skyline where she was back with the trauma team in less than 5 minutes and had a CT scan in within our first 20 minutes of arriving. If your staff can't leave their crap at the door if/when they're having a bad day...then they SHOULD NOT be in the medical industry! I have more than one TERRIBLE experience with Hendersonville's ER...but after this last one I will NEVER return. Completely uncalled for and absolutely ridiculous to treat concerned and (internally) panicked parents in such a rude manner. What if it had been HER child??? Please do something about the way people are treated there by the staff AND quite a few of the doctors! Sometimes it may be the difference between life and death...and I shutter to think what would've happened to my youngest child had we stayed and waited for someone to assess her state and attend to her wounds! Get it together Hendersonville ER!
