The experience was outstanding. We just had a baby girl at this hospital nurse and doctor we dwelt with are just out of this world.I thought all hospitals were this good but once i spoke to couple of the friends who had babies else where. Only then I realized How good this place was to us and our little angle. i hope you all get to enjoy this hospitality soon at this place.

How do we trust providers when they mislead in order to receive payment, knowing its unwarranted? My frustration is with registration. My test was ordered, told by the receptionist my fee was $300 due to deductible not met. I could receive 20% discount for paying now.
My insurance paid the hospital with ZERO deductible and only $75 co pay. I'm sure they knew that when I was told to pay $300. Now, the claim is 3 weeks posted, 30 days since procedure and the hospital states we have not heard from the insurance company.
Next year, they can bill me and I will pay only what is required. (Had the money been applied to deductible as stated, that's fine. But they are using my money as operating capital)

I can only give Hendersonville hospital emergency ...

I can only give Hendersonville hospital emergency room a one star because of its location to my home in Hendersonville.
On Saturday afternoon Oct 24, I was admitted to
the ER at Hendersonville hospital. I met the nurse and the doctor on call. After speaking with the doctor I realized he was very inexperienced. He explained that nurse would put in an IV and he would be in contact with the Doctor who operated on my back Wednesday, Oct. 21. The nurse struggled to give me an IV. A second nurse put it in. This is ridiculous because my veins are very dominant and easy to find.
The doctor on call for my doctor wanted them to do a CAT scan or MRI because the emergency room doctor feared a blood clot. An hour later we find out that there is not anyone available on the weekend to do such a test. Now 2 hours later I find out my surgeon requested an ambulance and to send me to the ER AT Saint Thomas Midtown.
Then you have an hour wait while an ambulance is found that is available. I was very impressed with the two Sumner county EMT personnel. One EMT confirmed what they diagnosed at the ER. She later told me they told me the nurse told her they thought there might be an abscess.
The confusion, misinformation and lack of skills and experience of nurses and the doctor made me realize if at all possible please go to another ER outside of Hendersonville if at all possible.

I m not certain about the new system that s in place with Hendersonville Tristar, but what I do know is that I was registered and ready to go and have my labs drawn before another patient came in to be registered. Some how she ended up going before me. There was another patient whereas two other patients had went before her whom had been there, registered and waiting.
I did finally get my labs drawn. This was on the 4 of September and it is the 29th and my lab work hasn t been resulted, so I m not even sure where it all went!

I went to the Portland ER that ER is horrendous the staff does not listen. They misdiagnosed me. The nurse did not want to access my medial port did not ask for the medication I was taking did not ask for my port card that is needed to be on file. I waited longer than I should have for the nurse to finish accessing my port I asked the discharge nurse what the symptoms for COVID-19 were I was told that there were none.

The doctors and the nurses were great attitude wise they listen to what I said and came up with a solution unfortunately the solution fit them best I left still experiencing pain and I still have pain today I went home with prescriptions there were light and easy due to the opioid epidemic it seems as though you cannot get pain relief anymore it's as if everyone is addicted or on some type of drug so they no longer help the ones who really need it this is so unfortunate because I am that person that really needs it struggling with a kidney disease degenerative disc disorder and sciatic nerve damage on both sides of my back my pain was very brutal still is hoping that they start to consider the people who are not addicted to drugs but are actually in pain and find a way to relieve us of our pain rather than relieving them of their responsibilities

I was greeted when I entered by a friendly, knowledgeable staff member who took my temperature and then directed me to the office where I needed to go. At the office, they were prompt - got my info, checked me in, and got me to my treatment room 5 minutes early! The nurse who took care of me explained what was happening nd guided me through what was needed. I had my procedure and was out the door on time. Easy and as stress free as a visit like that could be!

I am not happy at all, I showed up before time for my procedure and was there for more than 2 hours before I was told they couldn't do my procedure because they said I had took a medicine that I had not been told to stop taking, until they registered me and I had stopped the medicine three days before my procedure any way. When I was asked why I wasn't told not to take the medicine they said.the doctors office should have told me. When I checked with the doctors office about it they state that medicine was not a medicine that they require me to stop taking before the procedure I was having.
Now, because it was right before the holidays I couldn't get the procedure rescheduled before the end of the year and it is going to cost a lot more money (which i don't have). So I can't get the procedure done now.
So the combination of events are unacceptable to me.

The hospital has a lot to be desired for care of patients. Doctors a good one but the nursing staff has a lot to be desired. Half of them are sweet and understanding and the other half don t seem to care. When asked to assist my wife in going to the bathroom the nurse asked said she was busy and she ll have to do it.. she was just talking holding up a vital monitor in the hall. Her bed was not working properly and they wouldn t give her meds on response directed by doctor. Hysterectomy is not fun!!!! They are short handed big time and need to get it together before something bad happens. I have never had to complain like this except for the Lebanon hospital that s bad the same way. Sorry for the complaint but this is bad to see my wife have this poor of care!

Facility needs updating. Staff seemed overwhelmed with several part time staffing and switching nurses multiple times both ore and post op. Not on same page at all. Most disappointing was dr did not sign any of the prescriptions and staff handed them to my wife and never caught they were not signed. Created an additional 5 1/2 hours of running and another 1 hr trip back to hospital that evening to get proper signatures. Definite improvements needed.

My wife was in a car accident on 5/21. She went to Hendersonville ER and from the moment of walking in, she was greeted with compassion by Jared. She was seen not too long after arriving and had attentive staff, especially Tamarah, the nurse. The imaging group was prompt and very polite, too. It was a very good experience all the way around. Our family's thanks to them.

The check-in via email/phone call sped up the process considerably. Was met at the door at 6am by a very welcoming and friendly greeter. Went immediately to same-day surgery. My nurse was fantastic. Her IV skills were totally on point . The registration lady treated me like a human instead of a walking dollar bill. The anesthetist and staff were great and told me about everything I could or should expect. Dr. Hande took the time to explain everything he was going to do, how he was going to do it and how I should expect to recover. PACU nurses were great! I had a great experience and would highly recommend your services to anyone.

So disgusted with this hospital! I was charged over $13,000 for a CT scan that the billing department said costs $518.02 (FYI I gave them the exact same scenario to what currently is my problem). I have attempted to dispute the charges and received nothing but a letter saying all charges look correct. What kind of an explanation is that?? I finally got someone on the phone who can answer more than just a yes or no and he explains that the over $13,000 charge is federally mandated. That s is so much BS and does not explain why their billing department said otherwise. BEWARE of this hospital. They will over charge you by thousands and you will receive 0 help in rectifying the issue. I also must state that I was wrongly diagnosed by the doctor and have yet to see copies of the so called CT scan they did. What a joke hospital!

I went in for an ultra sound thinking I was 8 weeks pregnant. The nurse told me I was actually 6 weeks. So where I was so early in my pregnancy we didnt know if we were gonna be able to see the baby or the heartbeat and get a due date. Well this nurse persevered!! She didn't give up. Not only did I get to see my baby's little flicker or a heart beat. She also was able to find out my due date!! I really wish I could remember her name. But it was the ultra sound tech that was working black Friday at 810.

For the most part, the stay for an unexpected appendectomy was good. My first day however was training day and the nurses were too busy teaching medical students instead of taking care of patients. My drainage tube was not emptied, I requested a glass of ice water and waited 8 hours for it. The evening staff was fantastic. Thanks especially to Aleques! I wish all nurses could be like her!

So my son had surgery today at the same day surgery. The only truly good thing I can say about our visit was our preop nurse Jessica and ourour discharge nurse whose name is escaping me was also great but one nurse in particular really rubbed my husband and I the wrong way. Her name I believe is Karen could be Sharon either way one thing . Any time we tried to get answers about our child we got an attitude . I and my husband have the right to ask questions about the child we created without someone copping an attitude. I think any future dental surgeries with his dentist I'll go to another hospital .

My grandmother spent the last five days in this ho...

My grandmother spent the last five days in this hospital. She fainted in her home and had excruciating pain in her stomach. When she got into ER she had very low blood pressure. The staff told my family that they could not see my grandmother for 2-3 hours because there was no space in the room she was in due to the number of staff in the room helping her. It was not until she got home that we were told the truth. She was screaming for help and assistance with no replies for 30 minutes at a time. There was no more than two staff in the room at a time. Although we did have one or two good nurses in her stay, the majority were unhelpful, unattentive, and uncompassionate. After 3 days a family member, who is a nurse, suggested that we let her walk as to avoid settling of fluids, which could cause pneumonia. The nurse agrued with him stating that the hospital did not allow patient on oxygen to walk around the hospital. It was not until later that afternoon that this relative spoke directly to the doctor who agreed with him and allowed her to walk. She was then treated for pneumonia the next two days. This hospital is very understaffed which is incredibly unfair to its patience. If you have a loved one that is admitted to this hospital, immediately take measures to have them transferred to a hospital with competant and commassionate staff.

Terrible E.R. Experience! After sending my son home with wood still in his foot, the billing department was horrible. They outsource their Dr. positions to some company down the street. My son had to be admitted a week later to Vanderbilt and under go surgery to remove it. Hendersonville irrigated it, x-rayed, then sent him home. Now some collection agency is contacting me but I have insurance? Long story short, drive a few more minutes and go to Vanderbilt for care you deserve!

So I came in bc my water broke at 32 weeks... So I essentially came in to give birth to a premie baby girl and it was been one thing after another. All and all I ended up having a hysterectomy and in the icu, while my little one is in the nicu. Seems like the worst case scenario right? Let me say, that while im emotional about the turn of events in my life and a little traumatized trying to process it all... This hospital has been amazing. The nurses are overwhelmingly caring. They have gone above and beyond to help me feel as comfortable as possible. And not just the icu nurses... Labor and delivery nurses were absolutely wonderful as well. The anesthesiologist was even extremely supportive and tried to help me feel more at ease. You couldn't pick a better hospital, for all of ur Healthcare needs! I can't even begin to express my gratitude

The care was good, but wasn't happy that my blood pressure was 160/101 and they didn't give me anything for it. They actually discharged me and let me drive with it being that elevated. The issue that I was initially there for was somewhat taken care of, just not a lot of answers. Overall, the care was okay!!

Thanks for seeing my wife a few weeks ago for her pregnancy. Then when she shows up to her scheduled ultrasound (after she drives through inclement weather) you figure out her insurance isn t covered under your new plan. Really appreciate the great oversight there. Hendersonville name is the only reason people go there, garbage hospital.
