This is an icon of NYC. Alot of history here and the original grave sites are intact some of them are over a centennial in age. Really great to see the history of NY preserved in such a fine manner. If you are in the area this is a must see. Currently undergoing a major overhaul but it will be well worth it in the end.

Trinity Church - perhaps the most famous church in New York, located in the heart of the business district - at the crossroads of Wall Street and Broadway. Separate attention is deserved by a small cemetery inside the church fence, where you can see the tombstone of one of the founding fathers of the United States, Alexander Hamilton (1755-1804) (his image can be seen on a 10-dollar bill), the hero of the war for US independence from the United Kingdom, James Lawrence (1781- 1813), the inventor of the world's first Nautilius submarine, Robert Fulton (1765-1815), a monument to John Watts, an American lawyer and politician, and many others. It's quite a quiet place. Many city residents and visitors come here to pray. I recommend to visit this historic place.

As of March 14, 2019, the main church is undergoing massive renovations and no one is allowed inside. The cemetery grounds are still open. Notable markers include those of Alexander Hamilton and his extended family and associates (Hercules is buried further away near a tree, and Angelica is buried on the opposite side of the church from Alexander and Eliza), Robert Fulton, as well as countless unknowns with markers dating back to 1681. There is a small prayer chapel still open, only accessible through the rear of the church. Overall a stunning example of early American history. Reverence and respect are of course expected at all times.

The Trinity Church is quiet and empty early in the morning as the day progresses it becomes busier with visitors and tourists. This place is undergoing renovations and may be a little dusty. However, it is so beautiful and the architectural details are breath taking. They offer FREE guided tours, this is a great opportunity to explore this iconic place.

One of the oldest and most beautiful churches in New York City. It would probably be a sin not to give it five stars and I really like it here. They have a wonderful music program and they have a famous choir on Sundays as well. They actually play on the radio. It's such a beautiful Church. Christmas mass is absolutely amazing and I suggest you visit whether you are a local or not.

Historic gravesite of Alexander Hamilton and his wife Eliza. If you're a fan of Hamilton this is definitely a place you should visit. There are other important figures burried there. The church it self was going through renovation but they have security outside for the safety.

I was pretty disappointed when I found that there wasn't a series of catacombs containing ancient treasure underneath the building as depicted in 2004's National Treasure starring Nicolas Cage but I'm willing to let that go.

1. Quite historical and old monument 2. The scenes for the movie "National Treasure" was shot here 3. Nice wood work and nicely maintained 4. The architecture reminds me of the European churches

With the exception of the continuous stream of tourists and having to go through metal detectors, which is to keep us safe, there is Tranquility. A great space to just Zen, and breathe.

I will always have the most wonderful memories of my son's wedding, it was an avalanche of emotion happening almost simultaneously with the change in the NYS law. The ceremony was so beautiful as befitting the church.

Anyone else visit this place just because of the Broadway musical Hamilton? I did! I went there with my family to see Alexander and Elizabeth Hamilton's graves, but while there I saw Hercules Mulligan's grave as well. We spent a while searching for Angelica Schuyler Church's grave, but we found it and I was so happy :) Definitely visit if you jave the time. Lots of historically important people are buried there.

Love this place. Beautiful historic. Alexander Hamilton, Eliza and Angelica are all buried there as well as some other well known contemporaries. Some limited access areas due to renovation.

A beautiful, historic church that seems out of place surrounded by all of the neighboring buildings and skyscrapers. My daughter was excited to visit not just for it s beautiful architecture but also for all of the major figures from our country s history laid to rest on its grounds. This visit was something that we will always remember and hope to visit again some day. The staff on the ground were extremely friendly and very welcoming.
