Booked the place through booking.com an hour before I checked in to celebrate my anniversary. I went by the first few reviews because I had never stayed at the Trident. However I have stayed at most of the other 5, and 7 star properties throughout India so I do know what I am saying will resonate for many people who travel in luxury.

The property is pretty, it's what attracted me. The staff are courteous and very nice. The property is pretty, neat, clean, and green. Covid protocols are maintained well. The rooms although small, are clean and feel good, esp if you want to stay for short term stays. The view facing the lake is pretty.

What I did not like, and actually felt like being taken for a fool was the food menu prices. They are like crazy! So we ended up paying an extra 1.4 times the room rate for a single night. Plus we had to pay for breakfast additionally. We did go thinking that breakfast would be included. I mean which five star does not have that? And if they don't, they should have informed us right in the beginning.
Ill expound what I mean by the food menu prices.. Like a dish of Red Thai curry vegetarian costs almost Rs 1000 minus the sticky rice. So they don't serve rice with it. They don't even have it. You will have to pay another 500 or so for plain white rice. It does not even feel like the Oberoi or the Taj so the rates seem way overpriced. Coz it's what you order plus plus taxes.

Like I said, the staff was great. The food rates made me feel cheated. That's a first for a hotel stay for me. Never happened to me before.

I wrote this review so that people going there for the first time would be aware that Inroom dining is pretty steep. It's basic math, if you spend 10 k for a nights stay, expect your bill to be double. We did not have alcohol nor anything superfancy. So you see that's the tragedy

I booked this place through Make My Trip for a Garden View room with private balcony but surprised to know that this hotel doesn't have any balcony, they only balcony was available was a kind of Jharokha where a person can hardly stand. The room was small and the pool was clean but there was huge rush in the hotel at the time of my visit. The pool was completely occupied with 70+ people. The food was good and but service was terrible, it took 1 hour and 4 calls to the front office in the midnight to deliver a glass of milk for my son. The restaurant stagg was quite helpful in the next morning.

Amazing experience at the Trident in Jaipur. The staff is super friendly and full of warmth, they will go an extra mile to help you.
Location of the palace is very serene and calm and all forts are nearby. You can view the sunrise at Jal Mahal and also take a walk near the lake.
Breakfast buffet is good. The rooms are a little small as compared to other 5stars but you get a nice view.
Wifi is not that great..
For covid situation the staff is taking all safety measures, there are sanitizers all over the place and even in the rooms they have kept sanitizers.

Super

Don't west your money in trident jaipur hotel this big brand name hotel has spoiled reputation of triden. it is less than two star category facilities. Shower water we have to adjust which is old system. Bathrooms is very small and tube has door so while taking shower water coming out and your bathroom is full of water...
They are giving basic toiletries similar to deluxe or two star hotel....

We had a very lovely stay at the hotel. This property is located right opposite the Jal Mahal and hence offers an astounding view of the Jal Mahal, lake, fort and mountains. The staff is very courteous and ready to help us at any point. The key highlight of our stay was the service that we received. The welcome was in traditional Rajasthani style with aarti and bindi. While we waited for them to complete formalities, we were offered a welcome drink. The room was very well planned with spacious furniture and a direct view of Jal Mahal from the window. The bathroom had ample amenities and a bath tub. The bath tub could have been a bit bigger. The window was in a Jharukha style giving a royal Rajasthani feel. The room had TV, sofa, coffee table, study table, chair, iron, hair dryer, tea/coffee bar, mini bar. The room was very cosy and had central AC. The restaurant provided both buffet and alacarte. The food was delicious. They even asked us if we needed anything specially made. The in room dining was also excellent. The swimming pool is huge and the pool side area is very relaxing. There is also a spa which we could not visit due to time constraint. The restaurant also has some activities for kids everyday.

Elephant ride around the fort is a very important activity. The elephant ride ends by afternoon. So, plan ahead.

Enjoying a meal at Surabhi restaurant inside the fort which serves various cuisines

Enjoying puppet shows and traditional songs. These are available during dinner time.

Turban museum is free to enter in the fort. You can find a large collection of turbans here.

I'm truly out of words to expain the hospitality! The service was exemplary. All the staff were so good and made us feel home. Eventhough we stayed for 4 nights, we wish the stay was longer. The room were spacious and sparkling clean. The food was so great and the restaurant staff needs to be thanked specially for all the care they gave us. The swedish massage was too good and a great stress reliever. Thank you Trident for making our holiday special and we'll surely be back.
