Dirty room, clogged sink and generally decrepit state of the property I observed during my recent stay didn t deter me from giving Soho Grand a second chance due to their convenient location. I was booked to arrive there from CA on the day of the Feb 12 blizzard hitting NYC. Delta Airlines advised in advance of bad weather-related delays and cancellations and kindly waived the change fee. Requested Soho Grand to do the same and change the arrival for just one day later. But no: after hours on hold, ugly, unfriendly attitude and requests of evidence (like they didn t know a blizzard was at their doors with only all media outlets screaming about it) Soho Grand insisted on hitting me with the $408 fee, even though I complied with their demands and actually did forward to them the required evidence . I would have spent twice as much on incidentals! Apparently common sense and the notion of hospitality has evaporated from this hotel. Stay away from it!

I had drinks and appetizers at the hotel bar and had a great experience. Cool ambiance with great drinks and food!

Nice atmosphere in the bar area. Great to relax on the couches with a drink.

This review is for the bar/lounge. Visited on a Friday evening. DJ started playing weird MoTown tunes which completely killed the chill mood. Weird B&T crowd turned up. Drinks are good but somehow small; hence overpriced. Staff kinda stuck up too. All in all place lost its soul and edge which it used to have.. sad.

Dope hotel. Awesome breakfast. Beautiful people hang out. Ran into Boris and Nicole... such a sweet couple... great excellent service! I'll stay here often

The bar was very well stocked and the mac and cheese and lobster is to die for!

Such a very beautiful place. Room was cleaned always and enjoyed the pool.

Had a few drinks here with friends on a Friday night. The drinks were good, the bar was nice, and the music was good.

Great spot for a drink. Table reservations in the bar are annoying, but still a gorgeous place to waste away a night.

The Soho grand is a beautiful hotel located in a great area if you want to be downtown lower Manhattan or Soho. As New York City goes the hotel rooms are fairly good size. The service is excellent From the moment you drop off your car. Food at the hotel is quite good in fact a pie 8 probably the best salad I have ever eaten in my life. Yes I was hungry and yes I paid $40 for it but God it was good.

Lovely hotel, went for a staycation and enjoyed the location and being close to Chinatown and the West Village.

The staff was very professional. The wait to get in wasn't too long and there were food and drinks constantly available.

If you don't buy no drinks right away. They will kick you out.

I went on a date at the Gillian's. Both her and I were very impressed. It's a very Instagram worthy place that was perfect for the weather.

Hotel is cool, well located, the staff is very helpful, but if you have a long stay... the cleaning is absolutely terrible! Even tipped the housekeeper to get a better service...

Attended a social function here. The hotel common areas are lovely. The glass staircase a la Soho sidewalks is a nice touch. Very friendly staff.

Excellent hotel. Great location. Cleaned properly with all amenities. Excellent customer service. I've stayed in many hotels and Soho Grand is probably the most accommodating. I recommend this establishment.

I've always been impressed with the ambiance of their lobby bar and club rooms / lounges. While a bit expensive their limited food offering is quite good and their drinks are well made. If you're looking for a somewhat low-key start to your night then this is the place for you

Really nice hotel, it has a classic feel to it. I was lucky to have a room on a higher floor and the views are so nice. Everything was clean. Since I booked online I was able to get a credit for food and drinks!!

The bar is great and beautiful here, usually a good scene at nights at bar. Staff is helpful and rooms are clean. Runs might be small but but normal for NYC standards, but 1 thing always tend to be broken in room. AC, leaking something or something doesn't work. But overall all a nice hotel

Gorgeous penthouse veiw of NY! Attended a penthouse rooftop wedding and it was beautiful. The staff is very friendly and attentive to their guests

Unfortunately I did not visit the rooms but the good was great, the dining rooms were beautiful and him was able to play piano.

Soho grand hotel is a good spot overall. There are a few good bars in different rooms. It can get busy at times so might be good to get a reservation as well. The nightlife becomes more of a club vibe after midnight on the weekends with a DJ also.

@ceck out I ve got a bill for some stuff of the minibar but I didn t use anything.
On the desk they apologised for the mistake and told me they cancelled the bill but now I just been charged.

Solid hotel. The rooms are a decent size with a hipster look. A bit dim when you come into the hotel. The fitness room was great. Shower has okay pressure. Room feels clean. Not much of a view but the surrounding area is great. Near canal street and the vendors or subway. Worth the price.

Loved it, great hotel, very nice staff. When I come back to New York I will stay here again.

Rooms are small. Bit of a party hotel and great garden bar.

The SoHo Grand is a nice boutique hotel not far from the Canal St Subway stop. The rooms are modern and comfortable including a TV with Chromecast support. The basic free internet is capped at 5 mb and is almost useless for streaming however.

Stayed for 4 days over Christmas. They were understaffed (long lines for front desk and long waits in restaurant). Also, the maintenance people painted sealant one afternoon that caused us to evacuate to another floor due to the fumes. Quite an inconvenience to pack up and move to another room. Now there s some construction noise from drilling that is causing a headache. Overall a big disappointment.

We stayed at the SGH after we were married earlier that day in NYC. Sekou, who worked at the front desk, checked us in was absolutely incredible. He gave us complimentary glasses of champagne to help congratulate us, and then also gave us 2 free breakfast tickets for the next day. He was extremely friendly, accommodating, and made our stay extra special. We will definitely be back to stay thanks to Sekou!
