I recently purchased a 2020 Atlas Cross Sport with Les from Trend Motors and I could not be happier. The entire process was incredibly seamless and not the usual stressful car shopping experience. The dealership went above and beyond to get me in the vehicle that I wanted and they did it quickly. I highly recommend Trend Motors and especially Les.

I had very good experience at this dealership. They went out of their way to make my car buying experience a pleasant one. They beat my credit union financing terms too. Note: I am still waiting for my gap insurance refund, hope that will be resolved soon.

Dealt with Brian Sheurs. He is a great and honest guy. I Knew exactly what I waned and the price I wanted at. Spoke with Brian on the phone told him the numbers I was looking for. He Called me back in 10 min and we had a deal. Picked up the car couple days later. He had all the paperwork ready before we got there. All the numbers were as is we had agreed on the phone. No last minute tricks that are commonplace in many dealerships. He took his time to show all the new gadgets the new car came with. Few signatures later we were out of there in no time. I called Trend Motors today and asked if I could come in for an oil change and would be there in 20 minutes. My car was overdue for one. They took care of me right away. Their service was amazing and they showed me that I needed a new air and oil filter as well as new wiper blades and a tire rotation. My car feels so good and I m so happy with their service, I ll definitely continue taking my car here for it s services.

Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable about my needs. Best thing I could ask for getting service from a dealership. Worth the drive to come get service done on my Jetta.

I want to share my bad experiences with Trend Motors. I bought a Tiguan a couple of months ago and it came with only one key. Mike in finance offered a key replacement policy from Zurich at the closing. Mike did not tell me that the policy was not valid if the dealer doesn't give you two keys.Also the car came with a three month warranty no charge from Trend Motors. Again Mike offered a two year warranty and now I lose the three month that came with the car. Now I have a worthless key replacement policy. These are deceiving practices from Mike and Trend Motors. My salesman John Bednar was no help in any of my issues I had. Will not buy here again.

After helping my cousin shopping around for cars, I was truly impressed by the professionalism and knowledge displayed by Michael Ladenheim, at Trend Motors. The Jetta was among the cars we were looking into, but thought is maybe out of our budget. Thanks to the wide selection at Trend Motors and Michael's expertise in meeting our needs and wants, we were able to find a model that fit what we were looking for and bumped all our other back up choices out of competition. She is now a proud VW owner, and I will return to Mike later this year, when I am ready for my next car.

Leasing a new Volkswagen Jetta at Trend Motors was a surprisingly pleasant and painless experience. Dean found me the exact vehicle I was looking for, at the price I was looking for as well, and not a penny more. I've had good experiences here. My sales person was really nice and as honest as a sales person can be. I love my certified used VW and will definitely go back here to get a new car when the time comes. The people are nice and very attentive, the atmosphere calm and not too pushy.

Bought a GTI and am very satisfied. The sales team works great together. The salesman, Izzy, is a very nice and honest individual and got me exactly what I wanted.

I did not run into a single problem or issue while dealing with Mike Ladenheim. I was lucky to find the exact car I wanted on their online inventory (I couldn't find any in stock within 40-50 miles of Jersey City). I called Trend Motors and Mike was more than happy to get the car ready for me for a test drive. When I pulled into the dealership, it was exciting to see this specific car waiting in the front. Mike immediately came to greet me when he was paged by the receptionist (who was pleasant as well) and we went for our test drive. Mike was very friendly, easy-going, but still professional. I decided I loved the car and wanted to talk numbers in his office. Mike realized I did my homework and shopped prices with different dealers, so he wasted no time in cutting the BS sales and 'numbers inflation' talk. He simply took the numbers that I was looking for, presented to his manager, and came back with a final price that was very reasonable to me. After some number crunching on my end, I decided to shake hands on the deal, knowing that this was probably the lowest price I can get my car. I financed the car through VW Credit and ran into ZERO snags in the process. The whole team was great and the whole transaction was hassle-free and quick. The only thing that held us up was waiting for the car to be detailed and prepped to be driven off the lot. That's how fast everything was. From arrival to test drive until driving off the lot with my new car, the process took less than 3 hours. How's that for "cut the BS?" I highly recommend them, as long as you know what you're doing. Mike was awesome and I never felt pressured or duped. So do yourself the favor and do your homework with prices, it'll help cut the BS. Because honestly, most dealerships can do that to you. It's your responsibility as the customer to shop prices and stay firm with your price, based on what other dealers have offered you. And if you pay a visit to Trend Motors, you'll probably end up with the car you want. Never settle for less.

I had been ready to purchase a car with Trend Motors, but unfortunately my experience there was a negative one.

I set up an appointment to look at a vehicle back over this past summer -- a blue 2017 Certified Pre-Owned Jetta with 9,000 miles on it, listed for a little over 15k. When I arrived to look at it, Les met me and advised that it had just been sold to somebody else that morning. I was disappointed of course, but had planned on purchasing a car that day, so I asked him to show me some other options.

He showed me two other 2017 Certified Pre-Owned Jettas, each with 35,000 miles, and priced between $14k-$15k. Les seemed very unprepared, every time I asked him a question he would have to look it up. At one point I asked Les to help me better understand why the two cars he had shown me were only a couple hundred dollars less expensive than the car I had originally come to look at, but had more than triple the milage (9,000 vs 35,000). He ultimately said "Do know what market value is? We price all of our cars based on market value."

I may have been a young woman buying her first car, but I've done my research and I certainly know what market value is. I told him that, and I asked him to further clarify why the market had priced the blue car with 9k miles around $15,000, and why the other cars with 35k miles were not priced proportionally lower...was it about features? Damage? Was there something different about the cars that I was missing? He struggled to find an answer for me, and ultimately said, "Well the blue car you came in for was an incredible deal." Which, of course, did not line up with the market value reasoning...I wanted an incredible deal too!

Despite these red flags, I was still interested in knowing more about a rust Certified Pre Owned 2017 Jetta listed for $14,400 with 35k miles. I was very eager to make a purchase that day. When Les presented the car facts, he also gave me a list of thousands of dollars of fees that would be added on top of the list price of the car. The fees that stick out in my memory were an anti-theft fee and a fee that somehow was supposed to account for pre-owned certification the car went through. Again, I had done my research, and when I questioned the fees, Les insisted that they were all industry standard. I told him I would take the car if he could roll the fees into the $14,400 list price, and he went inside to "see what he could do." When he came back, he said he could reduce one of the fees by $250, but that was it. I thanked him for his time, and left. It was clear to me that we were not going to get anywhere.

I live in Jersey City, and was hesitant to go all the way home without a car. So before heading back, I stopped at Paul Miller Volkswagen in Bernardsville and purchased a 2017 Certified Pre-Owned Jetta with 15,000 miles on it, for $14,900 -- NO MADE UP FEES, no runaround, and their staff was incredibly knowledgeable and respectful. When I asked my salesperson Jeff to share any fees that would be associated with the purchase, he laughed and "we don't do that here."

I will never return to Trend Motors and will deter my friends and family from going there as well.

I just bought a 2012 Passat from Trend Motors, and in short: I'm a happy customer. I dealt with Luke Paglione, a guy who definitely knows his stuff. I'm a fairly technologically savvy person, so my questions were a bit more than just "where are the headlights" etc, and he knew the answers. If he didn', he found out. I definitely appreciated that. He also didn't force the car down my throat, like a bad salesperson. He was the opposite. He listened to what I was interested in, he paid attention to what I said (and didn't say) and helped me arrive at the right solution. That is the mark of a good salesperson.

Jesse, the finance guy, was great to deal with (I had no idea he had started just a few months back. He spoke like a seasoned veteran). He was confident in the necessary forms and material, and made the process of signing my life away easy. :) If you're in the mood for paperwork, he's definitely your guy.

I've only had a few dealings with the Trend service department on my old Passat from a few years back and never had any problems with them. While I was waiting to meet with Luke, I observed a member of the Trend service department doing a consultation with a customer who was picking up their vehicle after a recent service visit. The service rep went through the paperwork, explained what services were done, and reassured the customer that everything looked good, etc. That level of empathy and detail significantly bolstered my confidence in doing business with Trend, and I am looking forward to that level of service when I come in for my regularly scheduled maintenance.

Would I recommend Trend Motors? Absolutely. But, like with any car buying experience, be clear with what you're looking for. If you don't know what you're looking for, that's okay because the sales staff will be great with helping you arrive at that before you sign the paperwork.

Brian was a proper salesman for the current culture in consumer spending. Buying a car should be straight forward as buying a TV or washing machine. I was not asked to leave a review like other dealership salesmen who said they depended on it for incentives or whatever bs they tell me...to put burden on me and annoy me. I cannot comment on other salesmen at Trend VW. But, salesman like Brian should be the standard; no over compensating, over welcoming/doing, making you feel uncomfortable just to end up wasting your time. Unless I am just lucky, consumers these days don't need to be convinced by anything except a confirmation...price basically. Emailing and getting the final out the door price was simple as googling the price of a cell phone I wanted to purchase. If dealerships don't come to realize that old school techniques will drive customers away and create unnecessary losses, they will join the so many failing, going out of business dealers we see today. Thank you Brian for proving to me why dealerships are still ok means for purchasing cars when people buy things more and more without human interaction.

Jason, The Service Manager there, Is the rudest person I have ever had to deal with. It took me 3 weeks, and 3 different drop-offs for them to finally complete my car. When calling Jason and asking why I was getting treated as a low-priority customer, he had nothing to say but criticizing comments on how it is probably my fault. When I dropped my car off in June, my Air Conditioning was perfect - no problems! When i got my car back, there was nothing but hot air coming out - and this is in July. I called Jason, and he had the audacity to ask if I checked my freon to see if it was out - AS IF I WAS THE MECHANIC!!!! The worst experience I have ever had with any dealer - on top of that - their mechanics left their tools under my hood, and left loose screws waiting to fall into the engine compartment. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THEM AT ALL - not even an apology was given to me. You need to do something about this Frank Maher.

Love this place. Just leased a Passat. I'm so happy with the car! The service I received was amazing. No pressure. Let me look at options without pushing anything. I highly recommend!

Trend employs honest staffs and that is why I travel 100 miles round trip to this dealership. Ask for Megan Chulley in Service. She is courteous and a pleasure to deal with. Dealership is clean, and well-runned. Antonio and Anita are by far the best sales duo that I recommend. Both courteous, and professional - they make the whole process a breeze.

Edit: June 2019 - Megan C. is still my go-to service representative. Art was the technician who worked on my vehicle. He is meticulous with his work. They are the reason why I travel 50+ miles for my service. Highly recommend.

I drove home two days ago with a new (to me) car and a huge smile. Casey called me 5 days ago, right after I sent an online inquiry. He showed me several cars and then worked with Luke to get me financed. They both treated me fantastically every visit, while we worked with banks and I got all of my things in order. Luke made sure I got a good interest rate and monthly payment while Casey had my car derailed, gassed up, and ready to go before the final signature done! They treated me wonderfully and got me into a beautiful 2016 Ford Focus! I highly recommend them, especially if you are worried about financing. Brian and mike the sales guys treated me and my sister like garbage. Very unprofessional and very pushy. They kept telling my sister she needs to make more and put it down for a car. They also kept asking personal questions not related to the car or the situation. So fed up and sick to think such people would treat me and my sister like that.

I was surprised to see that the person at customer service has to use the floor as a file cabinet in the tiny little triangle area she was seated in.

Brought a car in without an appointment and Christopher Haroldson got it on the lift right away, identified the problem, started planning the repair, helped me reserve a rental car, and got me a ride. Trend's work was thorough and professional, and the service department kept me informed on the cost and progress of the repair. I'll be back and recommend Trend without reservation.

We had an outstanding experience with Anthony Cagno at Trend Motors! We were looking for a new car and Anthony took very good care of us, showing the different models, trying them, and explaining the characteristics that make them unique, he is super knowledgeable. When we decided to go for the VW Atlas, Anthony was extremely helpful in selecting the right trim and engine, and even when it comes to finance, we was very good at offering all the available options and helping us to choose the one that was more convenient for our budget. I was here today trying to purchase a used Jetta, my sales person was great and the finance manager did his job the best he could but... I was walking around the showroom and whatever manager sits closest to the cars in the showroom definitely needs to rethink the way he talks about people. My credit is not the greatest so it took some work to get me approved, I saw the finance manager go into his office to ask for help and all the manager said was "get effing rid of him, we dont have time for this, did you finish closing out the deals from earlier." Now I know he was talking about me because he mentioned my last name more than once and I find it extremely disrespectful to act as if my business is not important enough. I work in sales as well and I know that if my boss heard me talking like this, I wouldnt have a job anymore. So message to that manager, pay attention to who is walking around the show room before you decide to talk bad about customers.

No complaints. There were some computer problems that kept us waiting for hours, but the staff was friendly and comped a meal at a local diner.

I was a bit skeptical of going to Trend Motors after reading some disparaging comments from previous buyers. Despite the negative comments I decided to keep my appointment and I'm really glad I did. Dean Houston was great! He was not the typical salesperson one would expect. He was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and best of all NOT pushy. Awful experience, nobody had any idea what they were doing. Was overcharged on closing costs, and the car is a month old and the check engine light is on....don t cheap out like I did, buy a decent brand.

They were able to schedule me for a same day appointment. The service department was also very upfront with the things I needed done and kept me in the loop via phone. I used True Car to determine pricing for my 2015 Jetta SE w/ Connectivity. Trend Motors had the lowest price by far. I was immediately contacted by one of their salespeople and we scheduled a time to meet in person. The saleswoman was outstanding, as she got me into the car to test drive immediately and we began negotiating. They quickly honored my trade-in request and the deal was complete.

I have only two gripes - once we closed the deal I waited for a couple hours to get the car. I was made to feel it would be ready right away, which is why I waited on premises. While I waited, my saleswoman talked to me about upcoming new models, including the e-golf. She let me test drive it as well! As I said, she was very good- I was just getting impatient to get into my new car.

My second gripe was that I asked, as a favor, if they could send me photos of my trade-in after they detailed it. I never received the photos, and called many times to follow up. When I finally reached my saleswoman, she said they sold it immediately before any pictures could be taken. While I'm happy they were able to turn my car so quickly, I was disappointed not to have seen how they cleaned it up.

Overall - very good experience. I use True Car for pricing, so I would happily return if the price is right when I'm ready to buy again.

I bought my car here. They're friendly with good prices on their cars. If you live nearby, they're great. I travel pretty far to go to them for service and they always try to accommodate me with an evening appointment. I'm usually in and out for an oil change in about an hour.
