I put a $500 deposit on a vehicle in January 20th with promise that the vehicle is going to arrive between January 26 and February 3. On February 17th I decided to buy from another dealership that had the vehicle of my choice in stock. Since February 17th I'm waiting for my security deposit back. No response to my emails. When I call they tell me another department is dealing with it. Today is March 7th and I still don't have my $500 back.
I just leased a 2020 Tiguan from this dealership, working with Dean and Jeff. I have a new baby and work full-time, so I have very little free time to sit at a dealership for hours. They worked with me to get everything set-up in advance, so I only had to visit the dealership 1x for a couple of hours. I could not be happier with my vehicle or my experience at Trend!!

Just had the best car buying experience of my life. Easy, great price, well-informed sales staff and totally non-adversarial negotiations to get to the bottom line. My sales guy Glenn made it so easy and I didn't feel like I left too much on the table when we settled on a deal. Sometimes getting a little away fro a suburban metroopolitan setting makes a huge difference.

At the start of this process everything was great, very willing to work with us and negotiate. However, once the car was purchased it was impossible to get ahold of them. Our license plates had not arrived and no one would call us back. I ended up having to drive over an hour to find out what was going on. At this time I learned there was an issue with the vin number being off with the insurance. They knew this but never contacted us or returned calls. Once it was dealt with we still had NO plates days away from the temporary expiring. Luckily I was able to speak to a women named Jessica who had them overnighted. After reading fb reviews this seems to be a common issue for them. Disappointed in the lack of customer service once they have your money.
Trend Motors VW was amazing. They were professional, caring and got us the deal we wanted. A week after I purchased my car I got a call to check in if everything was running smooth. Communication was great and the entire process was quick. I needed a car right away and they were able to make it happen. I highly recommend them. The entire team was just pleasant to be around.
I am so happy that I discovered Trend Motors in Rockaway NJ. Not only was the purchase of my vehicle very easy, all other aspects of my relationship with them had been easy. I returned my diesel to VW and trend allowed me to store my vehicle on their lot while I waited almost 3 months for VW to get their act together. No charge! Thanks, John! Trend makes setting up service a snap with their online calendar. And once there service is quick and thorough. And they give you a pass to a local car wash. Yes they ask you to give them a good follow-up survey but they deserve it. I cannot recommend Trend higher. So high, in fact, that I drive almost an hour to use them for my service needs. Try them!

Stephen from Trend is the only person from a dealership that returned my inquiry when shopping for a new car. Normally I'm one to shop around before making a decision. However, Stephen and his team made me feel like family and answered every single one of my many questions. Avoid this dealership at all cost. My son used the service department for an oil change on his VW and they took advantage of him with a "warranty" tire rotation that ended up costing $180. Very unethical. Taking advantage of people especially at this time is disgraceful. You can be sure I will be telling plenty of friends and colleagues about it.
Between my husband and I we have owned many different cars of all different makes. Car buying was always a miserable, painful experience until we decided to get a volkswagen from trend motors. With the help of our saleswoman Meghan F. we were able get exactly what we wanted. No game playing, over pricing, anything. From the moment we walked in and out it was nothing but a pleasant experience. We even met her coworker Dean who was also very friendly.Even while getting the car serviced the entire staff is very accommodating and genuine. All of the staff at Trend Motors treated us not only like human beings but with respect and dignity! I will never go anywhere else for another car EVER! Brian Sheurs, my salesman was truly remarkable in all aspects of the sales process. He was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful to this 82 year old customer who hadn't bought a new car in over 18 years He knew his stuff and considered my needs making the whole process a real pleasure. At our first meeting I told him I was considering four or five makes and wasn't sure whether I should go for mileage or AWD. I had gotten stuck in my driveway twice this past winter with my old MB rear wheel drive car so I decided to opt for the Tiguan. I called him several times with questions and he was unhesitatingly patient and helpful. I also found the culture of the whole Trend Motors staff to be very helpful.
Excellent place to go if youre looking to spend at least $1000-$2000 more then what the car is worth. Keep in mind as far as their preowned vehicles go, tack on an extra $3000 from whatever the advertised price is on the website. Sure their prices are a couple hundred dollars less then the competition. But thats just to get you in the door. If you do your research and come prepared you probably wont end up buying from here. Just dont let them hustle you. These cars are a dime a dozen and theres plenty of other VW dealerships out there.
I bought my first new car from Trend Motors yesterday. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly. I mostly dealt with Justin and Scott and both of them could not have been more accommodating or pleasant. I drove two hours to Trend Motors because of their great price. I plan to go back there when I decide to buy my next car. I could not have had a better experience!
This dealer has a horrible used car center and the service department full of crooks. Think I m lying go in there interested in a used car and try leaving. You ll have to bring a crowbar to pry them off for you. Or get a quote for a car service and then call around and double check local dealerships. This dealership will cut corners on your vehicles service and try to rob you. To the point you better have someone check there work (and the price) now I know dealerships are high but I m talking about double and quadruple the price of other dealerships. If you have any interest of shopping there you better bring your mechanic before my nightmare turns into yours.....
This dealership is now local to me and I m glad as my overall experience was great. Brought the car in for service and was greeted by a very kind and professional Service Advisor Megan. The service was done in a reasonable amount of time and with no frustration of being upsold unnecessary parts and labor from Technician Nick, who happens to be a car enthusiast like myself. I should also note, I had an unforeseen mechanical problem that was later repaired by this dealership. My concerns with the repairs on the vehicle were put to rest by GM Frank who I can say is compassionate to costumers. If purchasing a car from this dealership is anything like my experience with the service department, then I m looking forward to buying my next new VW.
I had a great experience at Trend Motors of Rockaway! I was working with Luke since my wife had much success with him in the past. She had nothing, but nice things to say about him and the dealership in general. I had spoken with Luke on numerous occasions about different options for me in a VW car, but he never pressured me into anything. He felt inclined to give me all the facts of each vehicle and not just sell me a car. He was more interested in educating me about the VW lineup and not just having me drive a car off the lot immediately. My wife and I truly enjoyed our car buying experiences at Trend Motors and will certainly be returning customers. Just purchased a Golf from Trend in Rockaway. I normally dont write reviews but felt I absolutely must as the service I received from John, Bruno and Luke was impeccable! John (my salesman) was so patient while we waited for several hours to hear from the dealership where I had leased my previous car. Took the golf for a test drive with my mother and boyfriend in tow and loved the car! Bruno the manager worked out a VERY fair price that we felt comfortable paying and on top of that offered an amazing warranty in addition to the warranty that was still left on the car as it was a 2017. Luke the finance manager was very knowledgeable and answered all questions honestly. These guys are top notch! SO UNETHICAL! CHARADES! ROTTEN SALES TRICKS! Worked out a whole deal with them on a new lease for an Atlas. Haggle back and forth and they give you a great deal on paper which is unbeatable however, they give you tier 1 pricing knowing all along which of the 8 tiers you are in. They keep this charade going through the deposit, signing initial deal sheets, and right up until pickup. They ask for proof of insurance set a date a d time for pickup. Walk in the door they congratulate you and make you sign deal papers again with the salesperson reflecting the awesome price. They then move you to finance to finish up the paperwork. The finance manager asks if you want the door shut before he talks about credit. He then drops the bomb that the payment is $80 more a month. They know this from the minute you walk in and keep the lie going until signing figuring you have invested so much time already you will agree. No chance! Any dealership playing those games is NOT TRUSTWORTHY, we ran out of there and went to JACK DANIELS VW FAIRLAWN, they showed us all 8 tiers up front and explained what tier we fell into. Picking up the car from them In 2 days! Totally different experience.
Since relocating to New Jersey, I have had a fantastic experience with Trend Motors regarding service to my 2009 Rabbit and 2010 Jetta Sportwagon TDI. Megan Chuddley and Jason Meyer in the service department have shown great care in ensuring all repairs and maintenance have been done as if they owned the cars themselves. Their candid advice really made me feel that my cars were getting the best care possible to maintain their exceptional reliability. Definitely the only place I will be taking my cars!
I was introduced to Trend Motors VW by COSTCO. I had a VW Jetta that was to be returned a few months from then. I took a trip to Trend from Staten Island, being retired and being December and unable to play golf I figured I would waist a day. I was contacted by the sales DPT after my first inquiry and when I finally made it to the dealership I was impressed by the welcome I received by the sales consultant. When I sat and discussed what I was interested in I found that from the sales rep to the sale Mgr. were all very accommodating and helpful. With a few months to go on my lease they took my old car back, made me an offer that was impossible to pass on my part and within a couple hours my New Passat was Ready for me to drive back to Staten Island. Since then my Experience with the Service .has been nothing less then great. All the Services consultants are delightful to speak to for their cordiality and the way they treat the customers. I could choose to have my car Serviced in Staten Island VW but rather travel close to 100 miles to go to TREND MOTORS. Thank you for all you do every time. John Blandi

Typical dealership. Always trying to make a dollar. Lost my wheel lock, they charged me $75 to remove three lug nuts and replace them. Absolutely ridiculous
Trend Motors VW is an Outstanding dealership. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Dean Houston as our sales representative and from the first email Dean was exemplary. My wife is new to VW and had some major concerns about seating due to her small size and back issues and Dean was more than accommodating. After visiting several other VW dealerships, we came in to test drive the car to get a feel for the seats with no pressure from Dean. He made sure my wife was comfortable and took her time in making this decision. Test drive on a Friday and Monday afternoon we were signing papers and picking up the car. The entire team at Trend Motors was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the process. Our future car searches will start and end at Trend!

My experience at Trend Motors was excellent. It was my first time purchasing a car from a dealership, and they made it easy. Glenn spent tons of time with me on a busy Saturday afternoon. When it wasn't possible to complete the transaction on the spot, he even picked me up and drove me to the dealership early the following week. His years of experience really showed throughout the sales process; he seemed to know intuitively when to engage me and when to give me space. I am admittedly a bit tedious when it comes to long-term purchasing decisions, but he was patient without ever feeling distant or disconnected. F&I did a great job of laying out all my options for me without ever making me feel pressured into buying something I didn't want. Solid salesmanship all around - I drove off the lot with a smile on my face in the exact car I wanted at the price I expected.

Even though this place is close to me I drive extra to go to Crestmont VW. The lady at the service counter (I am blanking on her name) should be made to study customer service 101, so she knows not to sass the customer when they are trying to find some information. Otherwise she should work at the donut drive through down the road, not a place where people bring their $35k-$40k investments for service.
Had a great experience at Trend Motors! Anthony C was very welcoming and provided on point information. My need wasn't easy to find but the team over at Trend Motors went above and beyond to locate the car. After 2 weeks they had identified my vehicle and were able to get me in to view it - I could not have been more happy. Anthony C was great during the process and he communicated everything perfectly. Overall great team performance and I would highly recommend using them.
After 50,000 miles and five scheduled services I've experienced a positive sense of satisfaction with Trend Motors. Scheduling an appointment online is very easy. Waiting while the vehicle is serviced is in a pleasant environment. Explanation of before and after activity is clear and concise. I highly recommend Trend Motors for both sales and service.
When I called Frank Maher at Trend Motors and told him I wanted to lease a Golf with a manual transmission, I expected to hear a groan. Instead, I heard, "No problem." And there was no problem. Trend didn't have one on the lot but located a couple, avoiding white, the one color I had ruled out. When I picked up the car -- TORNADO RED! --the lease options were explained to me, but there was no pressure; the choices were left up to me. The receptionist mailed me the plates and registration so I didn't have to drive all the way back to Rockaway, and a week after I got the car, Justin called to ask if everything was OK. It was. More than OK. And I love the mileage. If you're not driving a stick, you have no one to blame but yourself! You certainly can't blame Trend.
Highly recommend working with CJ as a sales consultant and Mike as the sales manager. I have had nothing but terrible experiences with car dealerships, but this was incredibly pleasant. I was a bit hesitant to drive so far for a car but very happy that we did. The experience we had with Rich was excellent. My son got his Mitsubishi Lancer at a price he could afford. My family has bought ALL of their VW's here, along with the majority of many of my friends. When it was time to purchase MY first VW, I too came here. As a customer, I developed such a connection with this dealership that I proudly took a position as a sales consultant here! I LOVED it - Trend Motors is not a typical dealership. It is family. The employees, the Management, and the Owner are all family. They don't just sell cars, they form relationships. Due to life changes, my employment at Trend Motors unfortunately came to an end, but I will forever vouch for Trend Motors. If it is not local, make the trip! I can guarantee that purchasing a car will be the best experience you ever imagined to have, based on my experience on BOTH sides. I had the pleasure of purchasing my new 2019 Golf Gti from this dealer in September. I originally inquired about the vehicle online and received a prompt reply from their customer service department. Shortly after, I was set up with sales consultant Joshua Vojt. He did an excellent job communicating with me throughout the entire process! After exchanging emails for a few days we were able to agree on a price before I even came in. Let me tell you the price was an excellent one! With my busy schedule it was a relief to be able to avoid potentially what could take hours in person. Upon my arrival, Josh treated me like a real person and not just a number. He took his time to make sure I understood all the features of the car, and that the vehicle was in pristine condition before actually signing the papers. Even though I had test drove the same model at a different dealership, he recommended I drive the one I planned to buy. Another point I would like to make is I received a very fair offer on my trade in. Thousands more than 2 previous offers I had received at other dealerships. Also, everyone else I met with was friendly and helpful concerning any questions I had. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my vehicle buying experience at Trend Motors! Being a two Volkswagen family we choose to do our maintenance at Trend Motors, Here is just one of the reasons why. Our last service visit to Trend could have been a nightmare, but Jason and Trend Motors made it fantastic. The extended warranty company did not want to cover our repair. Trend thought it should be covered and through their consistent and knowledgeable efforts, they were able to get the car repair covered. Through the whole process they were in touch with my wife and I and kept us informed. Jason and the Trend team was professional, courteous, and friendly during our visit. I have been to many other car dealerships service department and never once did I feel like the service department was on our side, like Trend was. I have no problem recommending Trend Motors to family or friends.
A few weeks ago I was jumping around different dealerships looking for a car. Eventually my search brought me to Trend Motors and a Certified Pre-Owned CC. I went in and met with Luke. Right off the bat, he respected my position that I was "just doing my research for now, not looking to buy anything that day." We took a test drive in two cars that day, and that was it; we said thank you and went home. There was none of that pushy salesperson behavior that I had seen so much of in other dealerships. The next week I went back and bought that CC from Trend motors. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience at this dealership. I did not run into any one that was pushy or rude, and the staff I dealt with seemed very knowledgeable and polite.
I am very satisfied with leasing my vehicle at Trend. My sales person Samantha Cox made the process very easy. She got me the price that I was looking for. Both my wife and I were very pleased at how quickly and easily the process went. This has been the best experience in obtaining a vehicle I've had.
Bought a used Nissan Rogue 2012 from them in the end of May. A few kinks along the way but overall a good experience. Our salesman CJ T. was very helpful and just a great person all around. Would definitely go back to him when the time comes.

This was the best car leasing/buying experience I have had. One of the online sites sent my info to them, I figured they were too far for me but they asked for a chance to price my lease. They had the best deal. I worked with Eryn over email and the following day we drove down to pick up the car. In and out of the dealer in 30 minutes. The owner also came out to thank us for our business. Considering we drove over an hour to get there, I thought that just sealed the great deal we got and worth the trip!

I fear that dealership service will be a rip off. They have always treated me well here and the costs are reasonable. They get service done quickly and I have never had a complaint with quality. If their service specials offered more of a discount I d give them 5 stars. Typical discount is 10% or maybe $20 off certain service like brakes.
Car sales men do typically get a bad rap, but this dealership in particular are really rude. My family has purchased cars from them for years and i will certainly be the last victim. They not only tried to screw me out of a transmission recall THAT WAS COVERED ON MY WARRANTY but little womened me for months making me drive and hour both ways for weeks on end before they finally caved. I then had to keep my car there for over a month while they aquired parts and serviced it! My cars just about paid off and good riddance!
I ve had Honda, Mitsubishi, Acura, and VW. VW s are by far my favorite. Between my mom and I, we ve leased 4 cars from Justin David. He is the BEST! Very patient and knowledgeable of all the cars. We highly recommend this dealership and Justin :)
We purchased an Atlas recently from Trend Motors and everyone there is very friendly and down to earth. They made the car buying experience as painless as possible. We used to take our previous vehicles there for service and the service department always treated us well, so we knew we would choose Trend as our dealership when the time came to purchase a new vehicle. The Atlas is an amazing vehicle, but very technical, and Trend has been there to answer our questions. Don t hesitate to pick them as your dealership!

He never pushed, bullied, pressured, or rushed us at all during our transcations and that is a rarity at most car dealers. Even the finance department was a breeze to work with; they understood our needs and didn't pressure us into purchasing any of the extras that we were weren't interested in. It's easy buying a car, but service is what keeps you coming back. Trend is far and away the most competent and customer oriented service dept. I have experienced. I've purchased BMW, Infiniti and Acura vehicles from Morris County dealerships over the past 8 years and have never seen the friendliness and respect for the customer at these other dealerships. Service manager John Lindstrom is a pleasure to work with and Megan is the best customer service rep I've seen at a car dealer. I actually look forward to bringing my GTI in for service because of the quality of the work performed and the great attitude of the service people.
False advertisement! After driving all the way to the dealer to buy a used car, I was then presented with additional fees that I had to pay for not wanting to finance. In my case nearly $700, despite their website claiming: "Price includes all costs except for licensing costs, registration fees and taxes."

Took my Tiguan Friday to fix my moonroof, they said we need to cut the frame and replace it for over $4000 or break the glass and pay $6000 !!!!! They didn t even try at least to put it back on the track.paid 160$ for nothing ...also they left black spots on my interior

I have been looking for a vehicle for awhile and as a student I needed something that would fit my budget while I was still in school. I came by myself to look and found a car in my range. I then came back with my parents. I had been working with Jessica who is fantastic. However, Dean should be replaced. As a manager you should be able to type in numbers correctly which he can t do. He gave me a price I agreed to sign with. However when I went with to meet with finance they told me my payment would be over 20 dollars higher a month. When the finance gentleman Mike caught Dean s 1000 dollar error in numbers, all dean said was that he could take only 300 dollars off. Well after wasting 5 hours at the dealership I walked away without a car cause Dean doesn t know how to do his job. I ll now be going to a different dealership.

By far the best experience we ever had from a dealership. From my first call to the delivery of my new car we couldn t be happier. Justin was our salesman and very responsive throughout the process Mike their finance manager made the entire transaction easy and even saved additional money at the end. Dean their service manager didn t let a customer walk in the door without noticing every time they needed assistance and would make sure they were taken care. Do see a great and honest Sale person name Luke Paglione he is not like most of the up selling guys you may have ran into in the past. I had the best experience possible purchasing my new car at Trend Motors, thanks to Luke Paglione who made it happen. He was so helpful and he made sure i was happy and satisfied with my new purchase. He helped me set everything up and made sure i was comfortable using everything (including bluetooth which i was new to) before i even left the dealership parking lot. Also, he followed up with me on my purchase a few days later which made me feel like he wasn't just trying to sell me the car but he actually cared about my experience and how i liked my new car. I just purchased a 2016 r line tiguan from Eryn. She was honest and super helpful. She accommodated all of my request. ( I'm super picky) she was absolutely amazing. Even after I already purchased my car she has been helpful. I have never had an experience like this before. Went to go look at GTI type R manual car and was told you cannot test drive it with no explanation why. A $40K car sorry im not buying it until I see how the engine runs. The salesman Brian was extremely rude in his deliverance! I decided to call the Summit location and spoke to Diana who was told me that you can test drive it at that location. She was extremely helpful in answering all my questions. Summit will be getting my business now .
Bought my second VW from Justin David of Trend Motors. The car market is so comparative and there are so many choices. I liked my prior VW and decided to go to Trend Motors to speaker with Justin. Their customer service is outstanding. It is a bit far from my home, like 40 minutes but it was worth coming here rather than going to competition which is only 5 minutes away by the way.
The prices they have online are fake even after showing you all the fees. They try to overcharge you on a bunch of non sense fees. There is also a fee if you pay all cash upfront called a "non-finance" fee. Don't trust any pricing you see on their website because they will charge you at least 3,000 extra. I tried to pay all cash for a car that was 7,850$ and they told me I would need a check for 11,000
