Such a great place. Staff so friendly and helpful, and they're always developing the climbing area, keeping it fresh and interesting.
Really good facility offering climbing walls, skateboard and BMX park along with martial arts school (BJJ, JeetKune Do, Kali etc Al) on site. Also a cafe. Offers various training courses,
Expensive but decent. Much better now there are a few auto-belay lines. Can be hectic if there is a kids party on.
Great roped climbing. Small bouldering area that is not user friendly (confusing problem system).
staff are rude at the stakepark, the prices are too deer and also not much to eat in the cafe
Really nice staff and great facilities. We need more places like this for our young people. The only negative is that it is expensive, which will price a lot of people out. They recently did a buy one month get one month free promotion. As far as I am aware though, they only advertised this inside the building. Therefore, people who struggle to afford to attend, likely wouldnt have known about this discount.
If never been, book a taster session, take some friends.
Amazing fun today! Thank you to the lovely staff. A special thank you to Scott who introduced #stuntmum (haha!!) to her first every time on a bmx and first time on a bike in about 27years with patience, kindness and humour! The boys are already planning our next visit with lessons planned skate boards and bikes. Lessons now accepted as a good thing to do. Highly recommend.
Great facility and very friendly staff. We tried climbing and BMX and it was lot now fun!
Great for bmxing, skateboarding and climbing. The cafe is the cherry on top!
No mention that scooters are not allowed in the park anywhere on the website and after a long drive to get there and be told that I can't ride is very disappointing especially when the park is empty and no reason why scooters are not allowed in
A children's birthday party here. Great physical activity and the kids seemed to really enjoy it.
I ve nit been there yet but i think it will be a really good place for my birthday
Transition offers some great climbs and nice varieties in climbs as well some really tall walls, brilliant place to go
Nice small climbing wall, better suited for bottom roping than bouldering. Nice coffee shop, hot food looked good.
Great for climbing. Good mix of top rope and lead routes aswell as some auto belays. The routes are quite tall, I've been told 12m but they looked slightly taller to me. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Lots of fun for the kids. We had a climbing party there and the service was great. Also, the climbing activities were done safely and under supervision.
OK but could do with a coat of paint to fresh in the place up
Great place very busy.plenty walls for different levels
I liked the climbing wall and AMAG fighting centre. However, we had to cancel a climbing lesson the day before due to an injury related to my girlfriends hypermobile joint condition.
We were told that we could not refund or reschedule unless we got a doctors note.
I get why they want to put people off cancelling last minute but I believe that this was extremely poor customer service in this case and we have not went back climbing since.
It goes a long way to simply respect customers enough to believe what they are telling you.
The buildering wall was not very good for anyone except for very skilled climbers. Also, no grade list or system - so novices can't start on one colour and work up the ranks, as some climbing places have. Just needs a bit of TLC and thought on some bits :)
Climbing: nice facilities, seems to have a bit of a local presence to it e.g. bouldering wall. Bit off putting. It's also very expensive but Friday nights it's discounted. Would be better if it was 4pm instead of 6! Help spread out a bit. Positives routes updated regularly and nice variety of leads n top roles. 3 maybe 4 auto belays as well
Great facilty, with friendly staff. I only use the Climbing Wall, so can only really recommend it, but the other activities available appear to be of equal standard.
The wall has a good range of lines, covering all standards, and varied styles. All equipment is well maintained and regularly updated. I've not used hire equipment myself but I've taught others who were using it and it's very typical. Not always comfortable, but good enough to use!
As others have said it's not cheap, and compared to other walls in the UK, it's expensive. That said, if you don't want to pay, there's plenty real rock in the area!
The interns are great and all the staff are nice and friendly. Also loving the 2017 Sumner camps. The rock claiming wall is amazing and the skatepark has endless possibilities. Never a dull moment. I LIKE TURTLES
:)
The guys are very helpful and really good and encouraging the guys they are teaching
Rock climbing - loads of interesting routes, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Training area and smallish bouldering area.
Great climbing, cool staff. But the price hurts, and it gets predictably busy in the evenings.
Allways challenging for me, good exercise, friendly atmosphere, recommend
Great staff, great place and good price. Trainer was very friendly, patient and supportive with a kid. Perfect for fun physical activities.
Good climbing wall with the problems frequently changed. Only negative is that it's rather pricey.
Not bad, but the auto belays get fewer by the week. Soon there will be no room for solo climbers like me
:(
Great place, used to skate here when I was a kid. Everyone is so helpful to as well as being professional at skateboarding! This palace is definitely a place worth visiting if you're into sports. But be aware that the park can get very busy at times and its hard to get a chance to skate/bike and whatnot. A lot of people hog the park to so it's always best to come back 2 hours prior to closing time! But over all this place is amazing!!!
Great fun - Climbing and Skating. Beginners welcomed by the team with lessons for all levels. Recommended.
Brilliant skatepark! Accommodates for all skill levels, and the staff are really friendly!
Fantastic skate track ... while the kids have fun ...
A coffee or tea upstairs is there!
Staff are excellent. I particularly like the auto belay. A little expensive but works great when it's not busy
It sucks, they don't let scooters in the skatepark, :(
Great for skateboard and BMX
But you can't with Scooter.
We love this space and come as often as possible. Staff is always kind and helpful. Today however the experience we've had with a senior manager was appalling. He was rude, and verbally aggressive. Such a shame and one star is for that.
Great place and good to see so many kids enjoying activities.
Went to visit to find out they allow everything but scooters but the skatepark looks great!
Friendly place to go climbing, proportionally more higher grade routes compared to other climbing walls I've been to but still some good routes for the 6a/b'ers like me, really popular so can feel a bit crowded at peak times
Amazing climbing and bouldering facilities. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Cafe can take a while but the food is overall good.
All the instructors are very good and friendly! We went there for whole winter and my son loves the place and we decided to have birthday party in skate park. There are a lot of issues with communication within staffs, poor planning and lack instruction to customers.
The perfect place to release stress and spend more with family or friends. I congratulate you very much
Loads of good routes changed very often. Brilliant value on fridays especially
pretty pathetic that they dont allow scooters because closest indoor skatepark for me is unit 23 which is 5 hours away
The climbing wall is a lot of fun! There's also an area for skateboarding, BMX bikes & roller blades.
Brilliant healthy food cafe and plenty of comfy seating including viewing galleries whilst watching our grandson competing in wall climbing and bouldering competitions.
Amazing place. Friendly staff. Prices seemed steep to me though
Excellent time at skate park. Guys were great teaching the children to use skateboards.
Staff are lovely, climbing facilities are fantastic!
Absolutely shocked at this place!! My 10 year old boy was so excited to go here after i booked during the week and it moved my booking a day as its not open on tuesday the girl called back and was so nice and changed my booking to saturday. My wife took him down and was greeted at reception by the girl (who was very pleasant and helpful ) then some guy that works there came over and abruptly shouted at my wee boy NO SCOOTERS allowed which by the way isn't stated in my booking. He was devastated and in tears after this he wanted to just go home !!
Was there today for a 3hr session, absolutely great park with plenty for every level, fruitbooter myself
Good for sports climbing, the bouldering was mediocre though
Excellent facilities, staff were great teaching kids on the climbing wall, great viewing balconies to watch what s going on
Took my 5 and 6 year old climbing here. Great setup and nice staff
Transition extreme has fantastic climbing facilities. There are numerous walls with different levels of climb and at different angles. There are two heights of walls, a lower and a higher, so if you're afraid of heights like me, you can stick to the shorter ones. There are some auto belays which automatically catch you when you fall so you don't necessarily have to have a partner with you, however I would recommend climbing with a buddy so you can try out all the walls. There is also a bouldering section with many routes to try out. Finally, there is a new training area for climbing which has a variety of training equipment to improve your climbing.
Great place to take a group of teens fir a session or teen birthday event
Great indoor climbing wall facilities. Lots of 12 metre tall routes of varying difficulties. Mixture of lead routes and top ropes, with a handful of auto-belays for solo climbers. Bouldering area is quite small and limited though.
My son goes to the 5-7 year old climbing club, would highly recommend this place. Staff are very friendly, it is reasonably priced and the cafe is excellent.
Great if your in to extreme sports with friendly staff
Went there today for a skate and was a tad worried that I would be out of my depth. Shouldn;t have been. All the staff I spoke to were very welcoming and helpful and I had a blast. Would recommend
To much expensive Bouldering for 1Hour. This is to much!!!
