My experience had a good amount of unexpected surprises, but upgrading a kitchen can be tricky with a lot of unseen/unforeseen issues - e.g. Ikea lights only work with plugs and not wires, and gap in flooring with new kitchen.

It took MONTHS from planning to finish due to lack of pieces at Ikea etc. But overall the result is good. Installers were nice, and professional in Texas.
My recommendation is that if you want to upgrade your kitchen, triple check everything and question everything too.
You really need to be on top of everything especially if you floor plan is special with non 90degre angles.

Had the company install cabinets a few years ago. ...

Had the company install cabinets a few years ago. They now will not return my call for service. My cabinets are under warranty, and there is a section of cabinet hanging off. There is another slagging on the wall. I have called them 5 times the past month and left messages. My wife has done the same. Did recieve a quick email when I called their sales department. Sounds like a company who won't back their products.

Kitchen installation - My experience with my kitchen cabinets installation has been fantastic. My installer Soul was professional, friendly and safe. He made sure to communicate with me during the install and answered all my questions though the entire process. His friendly demeanor made me feel comfortable and he followed safety guidelines during the entire install. He gets the highest rating and I will recommend Soul with Traemond to all my friends and family for any kitchen installs! Thank you!

My IKEA Kitchen Planner from Traemand was wonderful... so skilled with the IKEA Planning Tool, and full of great ideas and recommendations from her own experience... professional AND fun to work with!

The IKEA Kitchen installation team was excellent also. They came in, set up, got to work, and were finished in less time than we had scheduled. They involved me in the various decisions that had to be made on-the-spot, and did careful and complete work.

I love shopping at Ikea! However DO NOT USE THEIR MEASURING SERVICE!! Traemand is a terrible company.
1) They measured wrong. Who makes a 95 inch ceiling when the standard 8 feet is 96 inches?
2) I can measure a vent bulkhead confidently so why would it be 12.5 inches like they say and not the standard 12"?
3) When I went to the store they'd mixed me up with someone else and attached their floor plan to my account. There's a waste of an hour until we figured that out as it was eerily similar to mine.
4) The guy from Ikea said he'd email Traemand for a redo and they never got back to me so I had to track them down at which point I was ignored for several weeks then met with a weak apology. This was in the beginning of June 2021. I was told after many unanswered emails from Angela, a phone call to their main phone#, and a "VM full" message at Angela's extension that a refund was issued. It was not. Nothing hit my account. I called the main line today July 26 and was told that the refund was issued June 21 and it might take a few days to show (it's been almost 2 months...) and to look a little after that date. Um....yeah since I didn't have the date before this call I have been through my statements with a fine toothed comb and I don't see it.
In summation Traemand is a shady company who takes ZERO responsibility for their actions. You can see on BBB that they take no responsibility and shrug off the complaints and in a rare instance will resolve the issue after the bad review. They even went so far as to post in a response that they're waiting for BBB to catch up and fix the resolved review.
Your better off having your blind dog do the measurements or hire a handy man on your own.
I'm afraid they do the installs too and am considering hiring my own installer.

I scheduled an appointment with this company to measure my kitchen. They never called or showed up, Ive been calling then trying to see about rescheduling or getting my money back for this service and no one has reached out to me, they all tell me they can take a message or transfer me and every-time I get transferred i'm on hold an addition 30 minutes and the line hangs up. This is ridiculous.

The contractor provided by Traemand was fantastic. Very clean and tidy and the cabinets look fantastic. Everything is level, all the cabinets are hung straight, doors and handles are evenly spaced and equally drilled. I love our new cabinets.
The design service was very handy as well to verify my design from the IKEA planner and lay out the quote. We asked lots of questions!

If we could go back in time, we would have not have gotten a kitchen through Ikea/Traemand. Please learn from our mistake. If you have several months to spare and are in no rush, you might have a better experience although other reviews below show others have had horrible installation mistakes and issues with communication. We were on a stricter timeline, and it was a huge error on our parts for choosing Traemand/Ikea. I was being budget-conscious, but in the end, all of the extra costs for materials and time, etc. actually nullified most of the savings.

I had Traemand come to measure our kitchen in late June 2021. I planned the kitchen at Ikea with an in-store planner a few days after that. I had that plan verified in-store at Ikea in the beginning of July and ordered all of the materials. I also placed an order for the plan to be verified online through Traemand, but it took them over a week to do it. They came back with several corrections, stating that the plan needed to be changed to be verified and comply with their warranty. I booked a virtual consultation with a Traemand planner, Jasmine. She could not believe the Ikea in-store people had verified the plan. She changed several things. We had to re-order new items, setting back our timeline by another 2 weeks.

We are incredibly lucky we didn't have too many stock issues, especially during the COVID era. We had to pay a TaskRabbit person to retrieve items from an Indianapolis Ikea and had to stalk the store stock for a few things, but we finally had all of our materials by late July/early August. Our kitchen was completely demolished by our contractor by then as well.

Traemand finally allowed us to schedule installation. We luckily had a lot of flexibility, so we were able to take the spot of a cancellation at the last minute (via Ron Brown). When the installer came, he said that the plan was WRONG and he could not install the kitchen. He was able to do a few of the cabinets, but I had to change the plan on the fly at the last minute, order MORE cabinets, wait another 2 weeks for them to arrive, and only then would they let me schedule installation again. When I went to schedule, they stated they aren't available for almost 4 weeks. We weren't given any priority to schedule despite their incompetence up to this point. Traemand's customer service (Renea Crawford, in particular) is unresponsive and unapologetic.

This is not a COVID-era or "everyone is working with less" issue. These are errors due entirely to miscommunication, incompetence, and disorganization. They messed up the plan 3 separate times. The kitchen should have been installed in mid to late July, but now, it won't be installed until late September.

We can't live at our condo without a kitchen (specifically a kitchen sink) and are lucky to have a family member who can house us for the time being, although they live a considerable distance from where we live. We are renovating other things in the condo, too, but the kitchen has set back some of the the other tasks. I am currently pregnant, and we may not have countertops (and thus, a sink) until after I deliver, which I can't even contemplate without cursing Traemand in my head repeatedly.

I initially scheduled an Ikea kitchen installation with Traemand for August, 2021. After that we had some stock issues with Ikea and we rescheduled for September 2021. One week before the installation I called the company to confirm the time, but no one is answering. I also sent many emails to inquire about our installation and no answering. After about 30 phone calls I got someone picking up the phone and they asked me to leave a message because this was just an answering service. So this company have no actual people working so they just hired an answering service to take messages. What kind of company have an answering service but not actual people to do the work and answer customers question. Now we left with no kitchen after moving our old kitchen and have on one coming to install our kitchen. Plus is really difficult to have no kitchen and two kids. Now we are really stuck in this situation, we have the kitchen boxes laying everywhere in our small home but no one to install it. IF you are thinking of remodeling your kitchen I would say stay away from Traemand and Ikea because they will screw you in many ways.
