TRADER'S BAR Review

This is a wonderful Wisconsin bar and grill. The food is well prepared and quickly served. Prices are very reasonable and I really enjoy the friendly and informal atmosphere. Have not made it down to the tiki bar along the river yet but look forward to seeing it when Spring finally returns. There are few places like this left along Hwy 14 and Trader's is well worth stopping at for some refreshments and fun! I particularly love that there is a piece of the old bridge over the nearby Wisconsin river prominently displayed over the bar! This place is real authentic and a really good time!

Best and most reasonably priced place to rent a canoe on the Wisconsin river. Plus, now they've got a tiki bar at the place where you end your paddle.

Was trying to set up a river camping trip. I emailed, with no response, and finally called 2x before getting the chance to speak with someone. Ordeal which took 2 weeks. When I got through to someone, a young girl, I was told that renting only one canoe, getting dropped off in Sauk Prairie was not worth their time. I was not offered any other options, or an apologetic comment, so I guess when their website says overnight river trips, it means for at least 8 canoes...very disappointed that no one responded to my emails and that they are not clear enough about their river trips. Too bad..

I love this place. Food can be slow but worth the wait. This place is a small town watering hole. It is what it is. I like it!!!

Bartender exhibited excellent service managment was not impressive but the bartender was excellent.

Food was excellent, also their Bloody Mary bar was very good.

Love Traders! Laid back atmosphere, beautiful setting, and wonderful company. Campers are all respectful of one another and the land they are able to use for the time we are there. Definite Yes!

As far as hick-town Wisconsin bars go...it's great!

They offer a nice range of fresh food. I like dining here. Employees are always very friendly, rates are fair and the spot is always clean.

We had some great burgers here. Everyone was very friendly. Also tried some craft beer that was delicious. Highly recommend!

Awesome staff and understanding when changes need to be made. Did an overnight canoe trip with a group of friends and the numbers changed at the last minute; they didn't seem to mind and were understanding. Super nice ladies at the bar and the boss was a nice guy. I can't think of anyone better to rent canoes from to paddle down the river and spend the night on a sandbar. This was our 5th year!

Service was excellent, fried cod was very good, fried Blue Gill was not fresh.

Camped, tubed, canoed at Traders this past weekend and had the absolute best time. Terry and his staff are so easy going and made everything very convenient and easy. If you want to tube or canoe, call or stop into the bar & grill and they'll get it set up. Call when you get to the pickup spot and they'll be there soon to get you. The campground has campsites right on the river and a sandy beach for swimming as well as a boat launch. Ice, firewood, food, drinks, tubes, canoes, its all right there on site. I will absolutely be back.

AHH-mazing burgers and different kinds of cheese. 100% recommend the ghost pepper jack cheese. Very friendly environment.

I went and talked to some guy at the bar and told him what site I was interested in. He told me to go and set up and someone would come talk to me. Then someone else showed up and claims he has also has this site and so said i had to leave. Terrible communication and an unhappy customer.

We called and asked to order a pizza to go and were told quite rudly " No , call back in an hour !!!! " She then hung up . We wont try again and will tell everyone of our experience .

The owner and is daughter are amazing! My husband and I get there so infrequently, however we are never disappointed....

Charge me for everything they put on the bun I will not eat there again.

We called at three o'clock in the afternoon to order food and she said call back in 20 to 30 min because her bar was full , so we had sub instead and I drove by an there was only four cars there

By far the easiest way to canoe, if you and your group like to horseplay and soak in the fun. I have been going to Trader's for over 15 years now. Other rental places will give you time slots and a schedule to go by for designated pick ups. If you miss the pick up times then you're basically screwed. Plus, you constantly worry about time management when there are scheduled times. Once you are out on the majestic river, it is hard to keep track of time, how far you've gone down river already, and where you are located. Cell phone signals may be difficult out there too. With Trader's, there are no schedules to follow. Their landing site is their own, so you can get back whenever you'd like to....and your car will be there aleady, so packing/loading your things up is at your leisure as well. Simple, easy. Best way to enjoy yourselves... leave the stress at home folks!

Best burgers around. Service is excellent. Don't just drive by this place. Stop in.

Traders is a perfect Wisconsin bar. The food is excellent. The service is great. Multiple visits this weekend, and different staff, same results. Wish I came this way more often.

Friendly staff and cold beverages. Did not try the food so can't comment on it.
