I' ve purchase a New 2007 Toyota Thundra in 2007. I love my truck and I keep the maintenance on the truck when it's time for maintenance I always keep it up, so I went to the dealership to ge an Oil Change . And the Representive to told me that their was a screw missing from the tranmission, Now mind you that this is a brand new truck,, and the representive said that it need to be repair, Now before I brought my truck if the tranmission was leaking the leak would have been in my driveway,,,my truck have 144,000 miles never gave any trouble ,, something is wrong somewere because the Representive had a very nasty attitude with me,, I beleive it was a set up in order for the dealership to get money,,come on now, a 2007 brand new truck tranmission going bad,, My wife have Toyoya Camery 2001 never gave us any transmission problem,,with over 250,000 miles.
I worked here for a while, they underpay their employees, end of story
A symphony of human and robotic interaction at its best. Everyone should see how things are made in real life given the opportunity.
Interesting place yo learn all about what make Toyota great
An easy experience on a guided tour as the tram travels the plant. We saw how Tundras and Tacomas are manufactured bumper to bumper. Clean and efficiently run. Cameras not allowed in plant.
Nice and quick tour.. My next truck will be a TOYOTA TUNDRA TRD PRO 4X4
Excellent assembly plant, very clean and tidy, I really liked his work style and his way of working. If you work in the automotive industry, you should definitely visit this plant.
Very father the route that you get on the floor :).
Just Amazing, the epitome of a company that can build vehicles with such great quality. Great tour!!
It was a very disappointing experience! We got a babysitter and drove 40 minutes for the tour. There was a storm and realizing we d be 10 minutes late I called to confirm that we could still go on the tour. I was told we could as there was a video first. We got there as the video was ending. They had already done the guidelines and regulations and told us we could not go on the tour! I asked to talk to the manager since we called ahead of time and asked if we should even come, but the man in charge refused saying his manager was at the plant already and kept pressing how it was a rule! This is the littlest amount of power I ve seen go to someone s head. Mind you they were waiting for people in the bathroom. I spoke to a girl and she at least radioed her manager which the man said wasn t an option. The manager asked if we were ready to go and if people were all loaded, which we were and people weren t all loaded in the shuttle! She Said said we couldn t go! I understand rules are there for safety, but a little consideration about why the rules exist and professionalism would have been appreciated. The first thing they said was you re late you can t come! We are moving and super disappointed we ll miss touring the Toyota plant. Be aware if you plan on going, and be prepared for a power trip.
Visiting the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas, Inc. plant and visitor center is always an amazing experience. Not only do you get to see the ways that Toyota vehicles are made, but the entire team and staff go above and beyond to organize tours for large groups and answer questions. The customer service is always top notch!
If your looking for a career this is the place to start
As a long time owner and fan of Toyota vehicles it was interesting to see how the Tundra and Tacoma trucks are assembled. A lot of emphasis on safety and training of employees. Very worthwhile tour. Learned about the history of Toyota and this plant in particular.
Pretty cool tour! Definitely worth taking an opportunity to go through! Only problem is now I want to buy a new truck!
Nice place, you can see history of the brand and how they established on san antonio
Excellent explanation about the production processes
This was very interesting. They took us on a tram ride through the place and we got to see the cars being put together on the assembly line
I do not speak English and I did not understand anything
Super cool manufacturing factory in San Antonio. Amazing tour experience due to a family member who works here. Very proud of being a member of Toyota group. The only thing is if they have enough handicapped parking.
Awesome tour! Very interesting to see the TPS methodology put into practice.
Amazing tour! You must do this. Toyota is the world's best car manufacturer and it shows!
Great experience for the family. Tour the facility and what plant workers do.
Everyone should visit the Toyota site and take a tour at some point if they are in the San Antonio.
They've done great work for the environment with the pollinator garden!
It's a plant just like any other. See security at the guard shack are very nice and helpful. The plant is huge so it's very easy to get lost
Was only here for work "my job" only... Can only say that the first responders were very helpful and knowledgeable
They don't know how to treat employees here they treat them like animals give them like bunch of hours and don't let them even spend time with their families the worst place to work for.
The Toyota visit doesn t just explain how trucks are built, the visitors center and the tour also cover the Toyota Production System and continuous Improvement, lessons that can be applied in any type of organization.
I worked at the plant for almost a yr and loved it,,, until the drama started.
Great tour to make you appreciate how much goes into making the Toyota Trucks. Make sure you wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Check the guidelines before going. We started in one building with a Toyota exhibit and interactive displays. Then we used our car to follow our guide to the plant. At the plant you go over the rules and get on a trolley. We were given a headset to listen to our guide as we went through the plant. Unfortunately, something happened and the line was shut down about half way through the tour. Afterwards there is a question and answer session.
Our guide could have been more knowledgeable and we were disappointed that the tour was cut short but we did enjoy what we did get to see.
I would not recommend this tour to those with young children.
Getting into the facility was like being at a daycare center. The security guard had the vocabulary and intellectual aptitude of a 4th Grader. She tried to tell me that I had no business there? Duh? I was called for a job interview but 20 mins at the gate and wrong directions, I didn't get the job. Unprofessionally supervised and managed security. I believe in Honor and Toyota has none.
An absolute Must-See if you are in the area. Visit their web site and make a reservation 2 weeks ahead minimum. The tour takes you right into the assembly line where they build their trucks. You can't take picturea inside, but you will leave in awe of the place.
Fun free place to visit, informative hands on museum. A fun tour of the factory.
Just spoke to a Toyota representative with phone number listed above I had a simple question regarding parking and where to drop off my husband SHE was very rude over the phone but i did keep my calm Toyota needs to hire happy represenatives who are happy with there jobs of answering phone calls .
you need to know exactly where you're going or you can't get in
I'm standing waiting for a door for two hours, and they don't have a bathroom for the drivers.this is inhumane.
The tour was comprehensive, informative, and memorable! Our fourth grade class was spellbound with all the robots assembling trucks. The rules of the tour were clearly stated, high expectations were set, and our students made us proud. The tour staff at Toyota was friendly and professional. This was a superb field trip.
I have a whole new outlook on Toyotas. Beautiful trucks
This place is an armpit. Wouldn't recommend trying to get a job here.
Fascinating visit, though too rapid, i wish we coild pause more, there is so much to see!
Trucks are made here. Trucks are good. People like trucks. These trucks are made in Texas. The only trucks made in Texas. Timmy rode a Texas Toyota Tundra to TMMTX while listening to Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor Rich Man Poor Man Beggar Man Thief.
Neat tour, part of visitors center under renovation so could not see some of the exhibits.
Took the tour with my folks. Really enjoyed it!! Highly recommend!!!
Amazing place. Excellent example of Supply Chain Management in motion.
I have family that works at Toyota plant and they work their employees like dogs. Especially since the new role out to keep the line running Monday thru Saturday. I rarely get to see my dad anymore. They'll make you come in on your days off for they don't have enough people working the line. What's worse is employees are faking injuries also causing others to work in their place. Not worth the $20 an hour working at a sweat shop.
Very cool to hang out and learn about Toyota's history
Went to pharmacy. Great staff! Very helpful and friendly!!
I deliver to Toyota to building 38 and the employees there are rude. They don't acknowledge you and everyone around seems to mad dog you. If yall hate yalls job....leave. And like another reviewer said if your on schedule....they'll make you late
Excellent car museum and very good place to get to know the automotive industry
There is a meeting room with 40 chairs and all where full, then you go on the tram, each tram has 10 rows for two. Some guest are large so you are cramed into these seats 3 to a seat and our group of four were separated to fill the seats, the tour was very fast in and out tour. The question and answers are in the main hall it's hard to hear the questions and answers with over 80 people in the main hall. I have been on factory tours with other automakers which are much better and you can see the paint shop and the stamping shop. Toyota can learn from others.
I was a chaperone to 3 different Elementary schools, it is amazing how everything works together. The kids loved it.
Check out the displays, in the gathering location.
