got a classic mk1 transit recovery insured by footman james, had accident some guy runs into me, now there saying they dont insure recovery's ?? i have had no help wot so ever, keep away from this lot PLEASE,,

So far today wasted 2.5 hours of my life trying to renew my policy. On hold for 40min then another 50mins pushed from pillar to post. Useless and incompetent, they really do not care. Used to be great but now I would strongly recommend you avoid.

Used to be a very good and fair company. Still are not that bad for specialist insurance. Try to compare as always when it comes to insurance. They seem to change there policies regularly which is hardly ever at the customers advantage. Staff are mediocre in terms of knowledge and being helpful. Hit and miss

Been going with footman James for a few years now and I m happy with the price of my cover and the staff are helpful and very professional in what they do and Thay are not pushy at Trying To sell your extras you do not need just nice and simple Straight forward customer service

Were great once now they are just a bad joke, was placed on hold, diverted to renewals (for a new quote?), gave some details of the vehicle including the age, placed on hold again, then told by the new policies department we wont apply classic status to anything less than 30 years old these days (could the woman in renewals not have said that?). There are lots of cars under 30 years that have achieved classic status with other insurance companies, car clubs. Try Brentacre instead they seem to have a clue.

Avoid! If you are unfortunate enough to cancel your policy then they will still keep a very significant portion of your payments, my car died so I decided to take it off the road and I essentially lost the equivalent of 9 months of my policy money. Absolute con artists! Never again

Had a few issues on renewal, don't reply to correspondence which if I hadn't followed up with a phone call to check forms received I would have been out of the time limit for an agreed valuation. Took ages to get through to customer services on each occasion and very limited knowledge by the agent when I was trying to get answers. Forms that were supposed to be emailed never arrived. Postage of documents takes over a week!

Helpful customer service team, very friendly and professional. Everything was explain clearly in terms I could understand. The sales rep offered me the extras and explained them very clearly, but she wasn't in anyway pushy trying to get a sale. Really happy with their service! Good price, good levels of cover, great customer service. I opted for the breakdown cover too, good price and covers European breakdown cover included. Second time insuring with Footman James, and I am likely to renew with them when the time comes.

I am now on the 7th phone call and not happy . My dad passed away 2 Jan and still waiting for refund from insurance policy . Staff polite but no one return s calls and department s don't communicate . Very poor service

They have a new wheeze now. Instead of sending new car insurance out as paper documents, they now send out emails instead. Trouble is, I didn't receive the emails either. I have been with FJ for a good number of years and have been well satisfied with their service but, of late, their performance and service are deteriorating rapidly. Glad they can afford to peeve their customers off.

Have been insured by this Company for years with a Motor Traders Policy, my details have not changed, no claims with the exception of a windscreen. This year I am they are unable to insure me as their underwriters policies have changed. I now have serious doubts as to what I have been paying them for, thank god there was no claim as I suspect it would not have been paid. To top it all the staff have no interest in what they are being told. Be careful is the advice.

Having been a customer of FJ for around 20 years with my classic Land Rover, I received my yearly quote, followed by two more, as I was not happy with the first. I am so disappointed with FJ, I suppose loyalty means nothing any more. I would advise anyone else to try RH insurance. (No, I don't work for RH.)

Although my policy increased slightly, it was still cheaper than most other places so i can't really complain. Never had an issue with customer service either. Always been able to get through promptly with a friendly adviser always happy to help on the other end of the phone.
