It's so peaceful out here. I highly recommend anybody who's visiting Arizona pick a Saturday or Sunday and just take a half hour 45 minute drive to the canyon up to tortilla flats look at the river running over the road is lovely.

There's a restaurant right there where you can get some breakfast or some lunch.

There's a little souvenir store and a museum. You can grab all kinds of knickknacks from candy with scorpions in it to postcards.

It's a great day and a great way to get out of the heat and just kind of get up in the canyons for a while. We visit here at least once a month or every other month just to kind of break away from the cycle and get out it really is just truly peaceful and Serene up there.

The restaurant doesn't open in usually till about 10, so your morning right. Start your drive about 8 you get up there about 9 to spend an hour in the canyon walking around before the restaurant opens 10am and grab some lunch either there or across the street and make it a picnic. What a perfect day.

Don't forget to protect this beautiful place and clean up after yourself... what you pack in your pack out... Have a great time there. Hope you love it as much as I do

The restaurant we ended up walking out we waited likely better than 7 minutes for service. There were 5 people behind the bar and not one of them would even approach us to offer services. That is the second time we have experienced bad service. In there this year.

I went to Tortilla Flat with my aunt, uncle and boyfriend and we had a great time. I am vegetarian so I had he bean burrito (delicious and filling), the rest of my family had the chili burger - all said it was delicious and not spicy at all. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was so unique. Great place to eat when on the way to the Dolly Steamboat Tour!

We bought the coyote coupon book and ate at the restaurant the food was good. The coupon was misleading that said you can get a scoop of wild prickly pear ice cream! Not so when you present the coupon. You spend over $70 bucks at the restaurant and no ice cream because we didn't buy soda's?
Wow we won't be back

We really enjoyed ourselves while visiting tortilla flat. The live music on a Saturday afternoon was Fan-Tastic!The three piece band played all the classic rock hits and made our visit there enjoyable. The beer was nice and cold. We also had their chili and the loaded nachos. Each was served piping hot with a friendly smile. We also purchased ice cream in the store and lots of items containing prickly pear cactus like honey and salsa.

Great place to visit after the fun winding roads. Dollar bills from all over world, notaded (if you want your dollar bill on the wall, you can't chose where to put it..they have to put it up). See where John Wayne was shot (by restroom,.the story is that someone shot the soda machine on the other side of the wall, and it pierced the machine and made a hole into the life-sized cardboard cut out if John Wayne). Their killer chili and anything spicy is darn hot. I warned ya! Get the bread bowl with killer chili. Also, the Nake Venom beer yum! Enjoy the stretched out skins of rattle snakes and pythons, the barstools that are actually hroee saddles. It can get busy here, but they keep up! A great experience of a rugged west!

Great band and food in the out door patio. It was a little expensive but that is what you get in a tourist town. Enjoyed the shops and ice cream. Many places to park our car. The drive to Tortilla Flats is beautiful. The road is new. If you visit the bathrooms be sure to have your camera ready.

Great place and the ride is amazing. I love the new road. Still need to watch your speed. A Harley took a tumble. Fortunately the rider jumped clear. Beautiful scenery, but watch for fools getting their adrenaline rush. (and still closed on Monday and Tuesday so you'll be disappointed if you want to hit the restaurant or gift shop on either of those days)

Cool place but if you want a good burger don't order one there. They will not cook a burger anything other than well done. Burger was dry even though the waiter said it would still be juicy. Fries were nothing special either. Very dissappointed with my meal.

If you haven't been here yet you have to go. A band plays outside every day. They have an awesome restaurant with fantastic tasting food plus the decorations are something you won't see anywhere else. There is an ice cream parlor with all kinds of ice cream flavors and candy! Plus they have an outdoor shootout outside like the old wild west. It's so much fun. From there you can take a trip on gravel road to Roosevelt Dam. The road is a little rough, but the scenic beauty is unbelievable!!!

Food was good. We had a fairly long wait to be seated, but they gave us a pager and we wandered around doing the "tourist" thing while we waited. My husband loved his old fashioned hamburger, said it was cooked perfectly. I had pulled pork sandwich which was also good.

The Highway 88 to Tortilla Flat winds through beautiful desert mountains and lakes. The food at the Superstition Saloon is good. But their signature house beer is excellent! I recommend the 'Rattlesnake Venom'. Also enjoyed the saloon is wallpapered in dollar bills.

For the best chili in the Valley of the Sun, go here. Can't say much about the other items, because I always get the chili. I like this place so much I made it a location in one of my books.
