I hate the ttc more than anything else in my life, if I didn't have to I would never step foot on a TTC vehicle ever again. The TTC is a good example on how not to have a functioning transit sample. I have ridden subways worldwide and the TTC was the worst, it just doesn't work. If you dont absolutely have to dont ride the TTC, it will leave you full of a murderous rage that will never subside.

Secondly, those signs on the Allen Rd. about slow traffic and using the TTC instead, stupid marketing when in reality it's because of the TTC construction in that entire area that there's traffic in the first place.

I know u know. There are waaay more expensive public transit systems in the world take for instance UK. It's much more expensive then TTC here but there are much cheaper public transit like in Russia or Chaina so this type of debate can't be won.

One thing for sure TTC knows how to misuse the money and I bet there is corruption in government going on. It can't cost billions of dollars to build something in Canada and be so horribly operated

Dont bother complaining. Ive sent in 50 or more complaints due to ONE route. Do they fix it? No. There is no accountability for poor service. Eventually some crazy dude will attack a worker or something due to how bad the ttc is run. I feel like africa has better transit than you ttc baboons

As a long time TTC user, the buses and subways are not as bad people say it is. There are bus routes to pretty much everywhere you want to go. The TTC does have various issues though. For one, they still use an outdated payment system while many developed countries uses sophisticated access cards, the TTC is still using tokens though they're finally starting to roll out Presto cards.

The buses and subways are pretty much on time except during really bad weather. Then you have to use the infamous shuttle buses but can't really blame them for that. The customer service has gone leaps and bounds from what they used to be. I still meet the occasionally poor attitude drivers. For example, once I pushed the stop button for my stop on a bus and the driver went straight passed my stop. I informed him he missed my stop but he told me I didn't pull the alarm and kept on driving. What the heck? Even assuming I didn't pull the alarm, why couldn't he just stop and let me off? Anyways he let me off after he realized he was actually wrong but didn't even apologize, instead gave a rude sigh and stopped the bus for me.

If you compare them to developed countries, TTC admittedly looks terrible in comparison with poor infrastructure, lots of delays, poor payment system, etc...but compared to what they were when I was a kid? Wayyyy better.

Did anyone know that if you lose your Presto card they can't cancel it for 24 hours?
This is absolutely ridiculous bc of you've added money on to it, whoever finds the card can use it bc up to 24 hours and Presto WILL NOT refund the used fare!

They are converting everyone to Presto and how many people will lose their cards.
I think we need to fight this ridiculous rule.

One of the worst subway systems around the world. Having tried subways in more than 20 cities in 4 continents.
The whole thing is falling apart. Let alone the fact that Toronto has experienced a surge of both residential and non-residential growth in the past 30 years and the subway system belongs to 1950s. Trains are old, staff are untrained, stations are small and narrow... worst of all is pricing and sales. They still use tokens! no RFID card! You can not charge or register a card. With the advancements in technology and the city being host to one of the best tech Startup studios like Mars and BlancLabs, using no technology in cards and gates is a tragedy.

One of the worst government agencies in Canada....Unreliable and frankly overpaid... Doing repairs on holiday weekends that clearly don't make sense...Out of touch management that frankly does not take rider calls seriously. After this bomb scare this weekend, I will never take the TTC again...Unreliable and frankly disorganized... I had to walk on Saturday from Yonge and Eglington to Queen and Yonge which is roughly 8 kms. There were no shuttle buses but hundreds if not thousands of people on the street due to Easter Holiday Weekend.. I simply do not understand why the TTC Staff did not take the suspicious package out of the TTC Bloor Yonge Subway instead of stalling subway service for hours...Never again...You cannot trust TTC staff or management who clearly are untrained,unprofessional, overpaid and frankly and still think its the 1950's. The public were not properly informed or evacuated. Poorly managed government agency..

Bus Driver!

I rarely have anything good to say about the Toronto Transit Commission since their subways are constantly breaking down on a daily basis, however, this review is based on a bus driver by the name of "Hanefia".

We were talking just the other day back on Monday, January 21, 2019 when I was taking the bus to a job interview and I missed my stop.

However, Hanefia was able to allow ME to remain on her bus and after she pulled into the subway station and then continued her route, she then was able to drop ME off at the stop that I needed even though it was Not one (1) of her actual stops on that particular route, but her bus was still going in the same direction that I needed in order to arrive at my job interview on time.

I personally want to Thank "Hanefia" (Bus #3363) for the time and patience that she took out of her day to get me safely to my bus stop which in turn got me to my Job Interview On Time!

I m glad they re doing a great job on sign improvements, more elevators being installed, presto fare gates and ticket machines being installed. If the TTC makes more money they should add platform screen doors for all stations so the people won t fall onto the tracks ever again.

106 bus drivers have no respect for the traffic laws or the neighborhoods on the route. Already I have seen road rage, speeding, driving through stop signs and improper pickups and drop offs. Clearly, none of these drivers care about public safety!Actions speak louder than words! Not even worth 1 star!

No accountability for their services, being on time or notifying of delays. No consistency in getting anywhere. What would take you 5 minutes one day is now 15-20 minutes due to them changing drivers, or 'waiting', or just driving slow af. Good luck if you need to transfer or back track.

No accountability for passengers using their service. They will happily short turn/put out of service with no communication as to why or what is happening, refuse you on the bus, close doors on you or drive right by. Will send one replacement 'shuttle' bus for 3 short turned streetcars after 15 minutes of waiting.

Recommendation? fire all ttc and union management. 0/10 experience every time.

Many times the fare booth operators don't accept my money. They sit in the booth with the fare closed sign and tell me the ride for free. Not helpful if I am trying to purchase 20 tokens. Rude staff, aggressive bus drivers.

They're doing the best they can. The system has been neglected for years while the population has grown at a much faster rate. The network is slowly expanding now. They need more funding to pay for capital expansion projects, AND funding to pay for maintenance so the existing network doesn't fail.

Worst subway service I've ever seen! No wonder you don't have many riders during off peak hours because you idiots can't even handle 4 lines! The only thing you can deliver regularly is fxxking delay and price raises!

We parked today at the 407 station for the first time. We had a medical appointment in Toronto and figured it would make sense to use the subway. We arrived around 9am and the parking lot was full, likely with commuters since its for subway and Go bus services. The parking is insufficient for the size of this station. The city needs to fix this problem. Meanwhile the bylaw shows up quite aware that everyday there will be cars parked in non designated parking spots because it s not adequate parking! It s criminal action that the city is sending bylaw officers to this location and charging $200 per car because the city failed to provide adequate enough parking spots. It sickens me through to the core that innocent people are taken advantage of and the city making money on the shortcomings of this commute depot! What a hoax! Way to go city of Vaughn ripping off innocent commuters! Won t be using this area ever again and letting people know about being ripped off!

Dear TTC,

Dear TTC,

The service needs to change.

First, the customer experience is unreal compared to other transportation services in major cities in North America and around the world. There is no real communication, e.g. "due to traffic ahead". How many trains can be in front of you if you're at the final stop? Operations need to be improved.

Second, the service is inconsistent. Saying the bus is delayed and doesn't show up for 15 minutes isn't a valid excuse. Find the root problem or bottle neck and solve it (e.g., better training or improved time management). Start using crowdsourcing.

Third, do more than simply apologize. Rather than offer one day a year for free rides (NYE), consider other major holidays that correspond to major Toronto events or offer free rides. Do better, Impress us!

Fourth, admit that the service needs to be improved. Look to other transportation systems that are incredible and retain them for consultation, e.g., Hong Kong MTR, any of the Seoul Subway companies Seoul Metropolitan Subway (Seoul Metro), Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit, KORAIL and Metro 9), or Singapore's MRT.

You need to do better. Your customers are literally yelling at you to do so. Please, no more excuses.

Best transit I've had by far. Staff is always friend and very helpful. We had a accident where my fiance left his phone on a seat of a train headed north didnt realize until after transfer. Not only was the booth teller extremely understanding. He also put out a call to all the stations if someone happened to turn it in, within 15mins we knew where the phone was and were able to go get it!

1 star is a compliment for this public transit org...

1 star is a compliment for this public transit organization but it's the least I can give. If the trains are stopped, no one lets you know until you reach track level and have already paid your fare to enter. There is never any TTC presence to ensure safety or security at any time, or to enforce policies of bags or feet on seats, people crowding doors upon exiting, or homeless people camped out to name a few. The majority of TTC employees are rude and inconsiderate, and ruin it for the few that are respectful and helpful. I have enough negative experiences in the last 10 years to fill several pages of detail. Price keep going up to balance out the overpaid staff... It goes on and on.

Could never understand how UNRELIABLE TTC can be while being awarded the best transit system in North America. Time is planned ahead based on Google Map but TTC be like hey, you know what? I feel like 5 minutes earlier today, then there you go, you missed the streetcar because you're not there earlier. Okay fine. Woke up 45 minutes earlier so that could be at the station more than 5 minutes earlier, but hey, what do you know, TTC feels like being 2 minutes late or even worse, doesn't show up at all even though Google Map shows the streetcar's movement, going past the station waiting at.

I'm not from Toronto. I've found that this city is dysfunctional. High price hikes when you should just hike. I've never been on a train without an interruption. If you ask for directions you get ignorance for the price of your fair.....and we all have our own attitudes.....I don't feel I need to pay for one. Typical representation of the rest of this city's "customer service"....or should I say the lack there of. You guys suck and I won't tell any of my friends back in The States to come to this ignorant "ImmigrantVille".

I have been here a couple of time to replace my metropass. The customer service is very helpful but from what I can see they are understaffed and because of this, the wait time to be served is extremely long. Also to add, the location is very convenient.

Is there anything you can possibly do about expanding service on the 89 Weston? I regularly have to use it to pick up my son and it's so crowded and I can't get on with a stroller and no one will make room for me. Having serious anxiety about this. It seems that there is better service on the 41 and also that line has the accordion buses.

Everytime we book it's on the waiting list and then they tell you "don't go out if you don't have A RETURN Ride " when we get a ride one way. WE ONLY get a One way Ride. IT SEEMS like you only Prioritize people who are 60yrs old, AND NOT kids who are Special Needs. The one's in the Canes Get a wheeltrans bus, And we get a Beck taxi, which we cannot fold the wheelchair. It doesn't make sense at all. The individual staff are always friendly but never actually truly helpful. They kept screwing up my payment for my Metropass plan and then blaming me and charging me extra fees... this happened multiple times until I cancelled and switched to Presto. Even then they sent me another metropass later in the year in error and expected me to return it during business hours. Yeah right. I told them send a courier or I m dropping it in the mail but don t bill me for your mistake......

They sent the courier at the incorrect time, had to send him again later when I had the pass ready, received the metropass and then DID in fact try to bill me again!! And charge me extra fees AGAIN. And they would not stop harassing me with letters and phone calls after this.

I hate the TTC customer service. They have never been helpful or useful. I m sure they are friendly enough people and there are ridiculous stupid rules in place that probably prevent them from being helpful but damn they are worse than the government!

Every time I have gone to this location the lines are long and slow-moving no matter what day or time of day.

I would rate 0 star if there is. Just as for recent two months of Oct to Nov 2019, TTC severely delayed or suspended almost everyday, with all different reasons or just no reason.
Reasons are: track repair, emergency alarm, power shut down, this is Thursday it s the traffic day.
Didn t see any advantage as a public service sector but increasing fares with poor service quality every year.

Worce services. 2 subway line to Toronto it is a shame. All progects what they did is all ways cost too much money and time, all ways ower budget. By weekends 1 line usually close for renovations second open from 9 am. Buses newer in time. Fare is not fair.

We all love to hate TTC, but I guess there is a reason for it. I had to go to this office to deal with some MDP (Metro pass Discount Plan) related issues. While this is a great program, and you should take advantage of it since there is potential loss, the customer service was definitely subpar. Once month I didn t receive my metro pass in mail, so I went in to get one. The lady at the counter was indirectly accusing me of lying, although she eventually gave me a metro pass, which is why I gave 2 and not 1 star.

did some math today and concluded that i could take the money i'd pay presto or TTC for this winter, buy better cold weather gear and outfit my bicycle for winter use, and bike to work (from Bathurst and Sheppard area to Drewry and Yonge area) and not only get to my job more reliably on time, but FASTER as well.
how are we paying 3 bucks a fare for something you can barely keep running?
why are you expanding when the current existing system is falling apart?

in addition, why have you not bought out or kicked out YRT yet?
if i want to go north of Steeles, its a double fare? AND if I'm north of Steeles, start walking cause even though the bus is Presto enabled, you cant pay presto north of Steeles?

What does it take for TTC to start taking overcrowding seriously?? Passengers can't do anything about random people touching them if you allow the bus to get so full that they can't even move!!!! It's not OK for the most expensive transit system to have one bus come around every 15-20 minutes on a busy route in rush hour!!!! It would be a no-brainer for the TTC to limit the number of passengers that can fit in one car, but they treat us like cattle cause they know we have no choice!

Should actually train your new North York drivers, they are terrible, as a retired driver myself, I can't beleive these untrainned people are behind the wheel of a bus. They slam breaks, dont lower the step for senior women only lower it for men, close doors on people, mostly women,feather the breaks so people will fall and its on purpose,put them behind the wheel of a school bus and see how long it takes for you to be sued,,you hired the wrong people, plus tax payers probably paid for their trainning
