Love this theatre for its majesty and grandeur...beckons to a long gone era. Some of my most memorable theatrical productions have been at this theatre. The entrance and staircase always leave me in awe

Beautiful theatre. Friendly staff. It would be ideal to have an extra bathroom or two but that seems to be an issue for most theatres. We solved that problem by going to a plaza across the Dundas square during intermission to avoid lineups.

First time coming to this theatre and I was totally surprised how big the venue was from just viewing the front entrance.

It s a beautiful space for a theatre show and there doesn t seem to be a bad viewing angle in the house. How do i know this? Well I went to see the musical Hamilton but I was up in the mezzanine in row O which is about 10 rows from the very back of the theatre. I still had a great viewing angle of the stage. During the intermission, I took a little walk around to observe the other viewing angles of the theatre.

The sound acoustics are very very solid in here. A tip I learned by accident, try to exit onto Victoria St as there is usually a gate that is blocked off so the theatre actors can come out for pictures, autographs, and praise from the fans. :-)

$250 on tickets and can't see a thing except the persons head in front of me. Not enough height difference between rows at all from the mezzanine. Only 2 concession areas for the entire theater also means huge line ups.

Went to see a musical with my family. It was great. We were on the upper level and paid 70$/ticket. I noticed the bar stool type of tickets were about 10 rows back from where we were. For a 30$ difference I might try getting those tickets instead and save some money. Great for someone who might need to stand up and move around a bit or who have problems sitting still.

We were on orchestra level and we couldn't get a clear view of the stage because the incline isn't steep enough. We saw Wicked; the effects were good (so the theatre can support modern effects). However, the lobby is too small to comfortably support an almost full theatre; uncomfortably close to strangers and difficult to move around during intermission.

Seen a few performances here. Avoid balcony seats since the seats are not incline/staggered. The main floor seats have enough incline in case someone taller is sitting in front of you. One star off since my girlfriend was complaining about the long line up at the Ladies room during intermission (the line up looked ridiculously long).

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance of Anastasia at the Mirvish Theater on Yonge Street. The theater is very old and iconic and beautiful and the seats are plush and very comfortable and wide. The colors are bold and the designs as expected from an older building. If you've never been you need to go just to see the architecture of the building. Everyone was dressed up which was so good to see perhaps due to still being the Christmas season. Most times everyone just wears jeans. What happened to getting really dressed up to go downtown. Before the performance we enjoyed lunch at the Three Brewers which my daughter tells me is closing all of its restaurants across Ontario which is a real shame.

The acoustics seem to be getting worse, or perhaps the cast just aren't strong enough in Waitress. Most of words during the songs were overpowered by the music and both my best friend and I kept asking each other what did they say?

This theatre is intricately designed, with fine attention to detail, especially visible on the extravagant ceilings. The performances held at this theatre are renown broadway productions and the performers always make the sound track come alive. The cost of the food at an eye-watering price. It is extremely unacceptable to pay such a high cost after paying a high price for the ticket. In conclusion, the theatre is magnificent and appealing and brings togethers families with the amazing productions. However, as the theatre is successful and makes a lot of money, it would be a reasonable expectation to see a deduction in food prices. Overall, it is definitely recommended that you pay a visit to the remarkable Ed Mirvish Theater.

I've been to this theatre a number of times including a week ago seeing School of Rock and just love it. The staff are very friendly and I really enjoy the architecture, design and art of the building itself.

We saw Aladdin Show at Ed Mirvish last night, Dec 19, 2013. It was amazing, spectacular. The costumes, the vibrant colour, the lights. Jasmine was so pretty and Aladdin witty, Genie was the best- Hilarious, and even Wazir was so cunning. Everyone performed so well, excellent choreography, excellent dialogue delivery...We loved it ... would like to see it again and again... Five Stars for sure.

Nice theatre. Bat Out of Hell was disappointing. Weak story and sad choreography. Music was good...older guy who played Falco was best singer. Guy who played Strat wasn't really that good.
