I saw Matilda here using tickets a friend could not use. I had to sit well in the back of the theatre on the upper floors. The best part is that I could still see the play very clearly. The theatre is not as big as others and so visibility is sound from all sides.

The sounds and lighting is amazing here. You will enjoy how well the music resonates through the theatre. It gets crowded during intermissions for popular plays so make sure to visit the washroom before the play starts. Snacks are a bit pricey in here too.

Came here Feb 13 to see Hamilton. It was my first time here and I have to say I was not super impressed. The theatre is very clean and the staff are fantastic. Props to Kelly who helped us find a lost cellphone at the end of the night. YOU ROCK KELLY!
If it wasn't for that, it would be a 3 star review. I found the washroom facilities lacking. At intermission I waited and waited and waited until curtain time and was still only 4 feet closer. The chairs are broken, uncomfortable for my lower back and nearly every person had an obstructed view because the chairs are so low. 3 inches higher would make the difference. You know how many people you can hold, so why not make sure that your facilities can accomodate all of them. If there was an emergency, we'd all be in trouble. People were shoulder to shoulder.

Seen Annie The show was amazing except the young child playing Annie sand and talked through her nasals. She did not sound like an Annie or look like Annie. The Cast was amazing. I was very disappointed in this little girls acting and singing. They could of picked a better Annie !

A huge theatre but not well set up. You need to make sure you sit eithr in the box seats or down in front of the stage, else you wouldnt be able to figure out whats going on in the play.

Thoughtfully designed for the comfort of its guests from well cushioned chairs and ample rest room facilities to polite and helpful staff. The prices at the snack bar are on the high end of reasonable, but certainly not gouging. For example a box of popcorn is $4.50 and a bottle of water is $3. The entire facility is well maintained and sparkling clean. Overall a very pleasant experience. Oh and the play was quite enjoyable too.

Ed mirvish theatre is a great place to see a show. Views and acoustics are great.

Pro tip. You can pre-pay and order drinks before your show so you don't have to wait in line during the intermission.

Amazing theater. Got seats last minute to Wicked at the very back of the Orchestra level. Was still a great view, close to the bar (bonus!!) and the show was amazing. They are very serious about getting to your seats before curtains open so don't be late!

I've seen quite a few musicals here! It's a gorgeous guilded age era theatre that has been well maintained. Visiting is like stepping backwards in time, but the splendor of the building is easy to lose in the excitement of whatever show you are seeing.

Actually called the Pantages Theatre, of all the venue-renaming in Toronto, at least this one honours one of Toronto's most major Arts supporters, the late great Ed Mirvish, who owned the Royal Alex and built the Princess of Wales to house Miss Saigon in its Toronto run in the late 80s.
The Ed Mirvish theatre has a good stage I performed there recenlt for ther the first time, but perhaps the most beautiful lobby in the entire city. (Sorry Elgin and Royal Alex!)

Outside and in, this theater is a treat. There is not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics were wonderful for bat out of hell. The swag is reasonably priced as are the drinks. Will be back again and again.

My husband and I went on our anniversary date to the Ed Mirvish theatre to see Wicked and it did not disappoint. It was my husband's first musical experience and he is hooked now. We will hopefully be back in the fall.

Read about this theatre's history from their website. I remember as a kid it when this was a cinema and later as the home to the pantages. I don't watch live theater productions often but glad it's still showing Broadway productions as it's been my neighbor for the past 15 years
